IMPORTANT
Before you begin: Open, identify and count all parts prior to assembly. Lay out parts on a flat and
non-abrasive surface. You will need the parts identified on page 5 and 6 of this instruction manuals.
NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO USE GLUE WITH DOWELS. EXCESS GLUE CAN BE WIPED
OFF WITH DAMP CLOTH.
Insert the dowel at least half way by tapping lightly with a rubber mallet, IF NECESSARY.
CAM LOCK SYSTEM OPERATION
HOW THE KNOCK DOWN (KD) ASSEMBLY SYSTEM WORKS
1. Screw the Cam Bolt into the threaded inserts on the panel. Connect both panels together; making sure Cam
Bolt goes into the pre-drilled hole on the end of panel for Cam Lock.
2. Insert the Cam Lock into the pre-drilled large hole on the panel. Make sure the arrow on the face of Cam
Lock faces out and points towards Cam Bolt.
3. Take a Phillips screwdriver and rotate the Cam Lock clockwise to lock the Cam Bolt in place.
You are now ready to assemble the KD unit.

PREVENT ACCIDENTS AND/OR INJURIES.
THIS HARDWARE MUST BE PROPERLY INSTALLED (FOLLOW ALL
DIRECTIONS IN ORDER ON THIS INSTRUCTIONS), TO PROVIDE PROTECTION
AGAINST THE UNEXPECTED TIPPING OF FURNITURE DUE TO IMPROPER USE.
THIS PRODUCT IS ONLY A DETERRENT. IT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROPER
ADULT SUPERVISION. USE OF TIP-OVER RESTRAINTS MAY ONLY REDUCE,
BUT NOT ELIMINATE, THE RISK OF TIP-OVER.
Children have died from furniture tipover.
To reduce the risk of furniture tipover:
 ALWAYS install tipover restraint provided.
 NEVER put a TV on this product.
 NEVER allow children to stand, climb or hang
on drawers, doors, or shelves.
 NEVER open more than one drawer at a time.
 Place heaviest items in the lowest drawers.
Use of tip-over restraints may only reduce,
but not eliminate, the risk of tip-over.

NOTE: Please do not fully tighten all bolts until you finish assembling all parts. Once assembled, go
back and fully tighten all bolts. This will make the assembly easier.
1. Unpack the unit and confirm that you have all the hardware and required parts. Assemble the unit on a
carpeted floor or the empty carton to avoid any scratch.
2. Securely screw the Cam Bolts (3) into the designated small holes on the Drawer Front Panels (G) using a
Phillips screwdriver. DO NOT over tighten the cam bolts.
3. Fasten the Drawer Back Panel (H) between the Drawer Sides (I and J) with four 38 mm Screws (5).
4. Complete the step once again for the other drawer.

5. Slide the Drawer Bottom Panel (L) into the grooves on the Drawer Sides (I and J) until fully inserted into
the Drawer Back Panel (H).
6. Complete the step once again for the other drawer.
7. Fasten the Drawer Bottom Support (K) to the Drawer Back Panel (H) with two 38 mm Screws (5).
8. Complete the step once again for the other drawer.

9. Stand the previous assembly at its back panel.
10. Align and attach the Drawer Front Panel (G) to both Drawer Sides (I and J) and Drawer Bottom Support
(K). fasten it in place by engaging six Small Cam Locks (1). (Refer to page 2 on Cam Lock system
operation supplement). Make sure that the Drawer Bottom Panel (L) fits securely into the groove of the
Drawer Front Panel (G).
11. Complete the step once again for the other drawer
12. Turn the assembled utility drawer upright and attach one Handle (7) to the front side of the Drawer Front
Panel (G) with two 12 mm Screws (6).
13. Complete the step once again for the other drawer.

14. Securely screw the Cam Bolts (3) into the designated small holes on the Top Panel (A), Drawer Box Side
Panels (C and D) and Back Panel (F) using a Phillips screwdriver.
15. Glue the Wood Dowels (4) into the inner holes on the Drawer Box Side Panels (C and D), Partition Panel
(E), and Back Panel (F) as shown.
NOTE: It is very important to use a small amount of glue on both ends of dowels.

16. Attach the Drawer Box Back Panel (F) between the Drawer Box Side Panels (C and D) by engaging two
Large Cam Locks (2) as shown.
17. Attach the Drawer Box Partition Panel (E) to the Back Panel (F) by engaging one Large Cam Lock (2).

18. Align and attach the previous assembly to the Top Panel (A) and secure it into place with thirteen Large
Cam Locks (2).
19. Align the large holes on the Bottom Panel (B) with the inserted wood dowels on the vertical panels (C, D,
E and F) properly and press them together.
20. Insert thirteen 38 mm Screws (5) through the counter-sunk holes on the Bottom Panel (B) and securely
screw into place.

21. Orient and fasten the Right Side Frame (N) to the Drawer Box Bottom Panel (B) with two 28 mm Bolts
(8), two Lock Washers (10) and two Flat Washers (11).
22. Insert two 15 mm Bolts (9) with the Washers (10 and 11) through the metal tabs on the Bottom Stretcher
(O) and screw into the Right Side Frame (N).

23. Repeat the same procedures to attach the Left Side Frame (M) at the opposite side.
24. Now, go back and securely tighten all the cam locks and screws. Make sure that all the parts are tight and
there are no gaps between the parts. This will help keep the unit square.
25. Ask for help to lift the assembled unit upright and position it near the final location.
26. To insert the assembled drawers to the frame, extend the Ball Bearing Slide Tracks on the unit all the
way forward (including ball bearing cart), then align the Slide Runners on the assembled drawers with
the Slide Tracks and push the drawers carefully inside until it stops.
NOTE: If the drawer does not go in smoothly, please take it out and repeat the step. If you need to
remove the drawer, please pull the drawer all the way out, then simultaneously pushes the plastic release
lever of the ball bearing slides up on one side and down on the other side, and then pull it completely out.

Tools required (not included): Phillips screwdriver, stud finder, tape measure, pencil, power drill and 1/8” drill bit.
27. Position the assembled unit at the desired location against a wall. If necessary, adjust the pre-attached
floor levelers at the bottom of the side frames (M and N) to correct the tilting.
28. Now, follow the instructions printed on the plastic bag containing the Tipping Restraint Hardware to
attach the tip-over restraints to the unit and the wall.
NOTE: The tipping restraint hardware included is for wooden stud wall construction. It must be attached
to a wall stud. Depending upon your wall construction, different anchor hardware maybe required. Please
contact your local hardware store for assistance. Young children can be seriously injured by tipping
furniture. You must install the tipping restraint hardware with the unit to prevent the unit from tipping,
causing any accidents or damage. The tipping restraints are intended only as a deterrent, they are not a
substitute for proper adult supervision. The tipping restraints are not earthquake restraints. If you wish to
add the extra security of earthquake restraints, they must be purchased and installed separately.

Care and Maintenance
 Use a soft, clean cloth that will not scratch the surface when dusting.
 Use of furniture polish is not necessary. Should you choose to use polish, test first in an inconspicuous area.
 Using solvents of any kind on your furniture may damage your furniture’s finish.
 Never use water to clean your furniture as it may cause damage to the finish.
 Always use coasters under beverage glasses and flowerpots.
 Liquid spills should be removed immediately. Using a soft, clean cloth, blot the spill gently. Avoid rubbing.
 Always use protective pads under hot dishes and plates. Heat can cause chemical changes that may create
spotting within the furniture finish.
 In the event that your furniture is stained or otherwise damaged during use, we recommend that you call a
professional to repair your furniture.
 Check bolts/screws periodically and tighten them if necessary.

It is best to keep your furniture in a climate-controlled environment. Extreme temperature and humidity changes
can cause fading, warping, shrinking and splitting of wood. It is advised to keep furniture away from direct
sunlight as sun may damage the finish.
Proper care and cleaning at home will extend the life of your purchase. Following these important and helpful
tips will enhance your furniture as it ages.

L’EXCÈS DE COLLE PEUT ÊTRE ESSUYÉ AVEC UN LINGE HUMIDE.
Insérer les goujons au moins à la moitié en les frappant légèrement avec un maillet en caoutchouc, AU BESOIN.

1. Visser un boulon à came dans les petits trous déjà percés sur le panneau. Connecter les deux panneaux en
s’assurant que le boulon à came s’insère dans le trou déjà percé à l’extrémité du panneau avec la came.
2. Insérer une came dans le grand trou déjà percé sur le panneau. S’assurer que la flèche sur la came soit
orientée vers le boulon à came.
3. Une fois le boulon à came connecté dans la came, serrer la came dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre
avec un tournevis à pointe cruciforme.
L’unité est maintenant prête pour le montage.
