1. If replacing rim lock, remove exi ting lock from door and place the ca e of the lock
over exi ting keyhole.
2. Fix the new lock u ing the crew provided.
3. If fitting on a new door, mark a point on the door at the height you require. Mea uring
in from the edge of the door, drill an 8mm hole 47mm in from the door edge. 11mm
directly below the hole you have ju t created, drill another 8mm hole en uring it i
exactly level with the hole above.
4. U ing a chi el, remove the wood in between the two hole to create an oval keyhole.
5. Line up the keyhole you have created in the door to the keyhole on the lock ca e and
mark the 3 crew hole , drilling pilot hole if required.
6. Fix the lock ca e to the door.
7. Mark the required po ition for the lock keep on the door frame – en uring it line up
with the lock ca e when the door i clo ed.
8. If nece ary, remove a ection of the door frame to enable the keep to be fitted.
9. Mark po ition for the 2 fixing crew and drill pilot hole if required.
10.U e the 2 crew provided to fit the lock keep.
