UC license required
For system phone functionality, as described in this manual, a Unified
Communications package license is required for the PBX.
Only one SIP phone may be connected at each licensed extension.

Log in to the phone
Connect the power adapter and the LAN cable to the phone. Press the Menu
Key/Status to check the IP address of the phone. Browse to the IP address of the
phone and login using admin/admin.

Enable SIP notification messages
Go to Features/Remote Control and enable SIP Notify as shown here:

Enter the registration details for the Cloud service
Go to the Register page, under the Account tab, and enter the SIP registration
details: Server Host, Register Name, User name and Password.
These registration details can be obtained from the cloud PBX administrator. The
Register Name and the User Name should be the same. This is referred to as the IP
Registration Name on the IP Phone Registration page of the cloud PBX installer
portal. Alternatively these credentials may be auto-provisioned by a provisioning
server.
Ensure the Line Active is set to Enabled.
The Register Status should change to Registered after the Phone successfully
connects to the PBX.

Allow the Cloud PBX communicate using xml messages
On the cloud PBX installer portal, go to System Settings/CTI Services and set the
xHTML API to Enabled as shown below.
At System Settings/Firewall, make sure the xHTML API is set to Unrestricted:

Program the soft keys on the phone with PBX functions
The PBX menus can be accesses by pressing the PBX softkey. The Menu softkey
gives access to local phone parameters such as the IP address.
Go to your user portal on the cloud PBX, by browsing to your cloud server, normally
at an address in the format mycompany.serverpbx.com, and entering your user name
and password.
Click on the Function Keys icon and select your Yealink model from the Phone Model
drop down menu in the top left hand corner of the page.
Program each of the keys as Function key, contact, internal user etc., selecting from
the drop-down menu.
Note that the key to the bottom right of the display changes to a Shift key, when the
first number is entered on the second display page.

Note that the top button on the left of display corresponds with keys 1, 10 and 19,
depending on the page selected by the Shift key on the phone.
On the T48G/T49G, it’s most convenient to program the most frequently used keys to
the outer key positions.
Program the keys on the EXP40 LCD Expansion Module
To program the Button Expansion Module, EXP40 LCD Expansion Module, click on
the EXP Module Programming button.
Each button has two key designations, selected by the 1 and 2 page keys on the
EXP40 Expansion Module.
Up to six Expansion Modules can be supported.

User button LED modes
The User buttons are implemented as SIP BLF keys. Yealink LED mode 1 is the only mode
supported by the cloud PBX.
When a key is assigned to monitor an extension, the behaviour of the LEDs is as follows:
LED unlit: extension is idle
LED flashing red: extension is ringing
LED solid red: extension is busy.
Note: If the Yealink phone is programmed to use a LED mode other than LED Mode 1, this
will be over-written by the Cloud PBX and the phone will revert to LED mode 1 when it is
reconnected to the server or powered down.
Feature example: Using Listen, Whisper and Intrude
Assign keys to the Listen and Intrude functions, by selecting from the Function Keys drop-down
menu, under the Function Keys tab, at the User Portal.
Whisper uses the Listen button. Pressing it toggles between listen and whisper and the led color
changes. Green is for Listen mode, red for whisper.
Dialing 7 will toggle between the listen and whisper modes.
Dialing 9 will go from Listen or Whisper mode into Intrude mode.
There’s a separate Intrude key.
Pressing Intrude, when the phone is idle, displays a list of the active calls that can be intruded on. To
intrude, select the call from the list.
Pressing the Intrude key, while in listen/whisper mode has no effect.

Fault finding
Phone not registering: check the server address of the PBX and the user
name and password.
Function keys not working or Load error on pressing the PBX key: The xHTML
API on the PBX System Settings/CTI Services page must be enabled and the
PBX Firewall must be Unrestricted, for function key operation, as described in
the section “Allow the Cloud PBX communicate using xml messages” above.

Explanation of the symbols used in the dialling codes
Normal dialling digits = 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,*,#
Fixed length Wild Card = W (where W can be any digit 0-9, so if we need to take in 4 digits for a pin its
WWWW)
Variable length Wild Card = !n!W (where the system will look for any number of wild card numbers from 1 digit
to n digits, so if we need to enter an external number to Forward to we would need to enter any digit from 1 to
20 digits, !20!W )
0 based Variable length Wild Card = ^n^W (where the system will look for any number of wild card numbers
from 0 digit to n digits)
Examples:
*210*!9!W*!20!W*WWWW# Set External Forward All Calls at this group with pin code (any other
member)
*210* is the code for external Forward
!9!W* is used to take in the group number (which can be from 1 to 9 digits long)
!20!W* is used to take in the external number (which can be from 1 to 20 digits long)
WWWW# is used to take in the group pin code (which is fixed at 4 digits)
*61*!9!W**99*!3!W*WWWW# Set Forward On No Answer to voicemail with Timer at this group with pin
(any other member)
*61* is the code for internal Forward on no answer
!9!W* is used to take in the group number (which can be from 1 to 9 digits long)
*99 is the code for the Voicemail
!3!W* is used to take in the timer delay before the Forward should act (which can be 1 to 3 digits long)
