Feature Overview
The Yealink T58V IP phone is a smart media phone, with a high-resolution color touch screen and a USB
camera, designed to provide all your business telephony features, such as:
•Call Hold
•Call Transfer
•Conference
•Voicemail
•Speed Dials
•Monitoring
Answering Calls
You can answer a call either using the handset, headset or speakerphone. To answer an incoming call
1. Lift the Handset , or
2. If you are using the Headset
-Ensure the Headset mode is activated
-Press the Answer soft key, or
3. Press the Speaker button
Ending a Call
To end a call, either:
1. Hang up the handset
2. Tap the EndCall soft key
This method also works for all speaker modes
3. If you are using the speakerphone, press or tap the EndCall soft key

Placing a Call
To place a call using the handset:
1. Lift the Handset
2. Enter the number using the keypad or the dial pad on the touch screen
-Tap to see the onscreen keyboard
3. Press , or tap Send
Note: You can also tap or from your home screen to search for an entry or contact after picking up
the handset, and then tap the desired entry or contact to place a call
To place a call using the handsfree (speakerphone) mode:
4. Using the hands-free speakerphone
-With the handset on hook press Speaker
-Enter the number, press or tap the Send soft key
To place a call using the headset:
-Press to activate the headset mode
-Enter the number, press or tap the Send soft key
Placing a Call on Hold
To place an active call on hold
1. Press on the phone or tap the Hold soft key while on an active call
(The touch screen indicates that the call is on hold).
To resume a held call:
1. Press on the phone or tap the Resume soft key.
Call Waiting
It is possible to make multiple calls however, only one active call can be in progress at any time, other calls are
placed on hold.
To make a new call during an active call:
1. Press on the phone or tap the Hold Soft key (to place the original call on hold).
2. Tap the New Call soft key.
3. Enter the desired number using the keypad or on-screen keypad.
4. Tap OK or the Send soft key.
Note: To switch between calls, tap the Held call then tap Resume.

To answer a new call during an active call:
1. Tap the Answer soft key
or
1. Tap the incoming call avatar
2. Tap Answer

Muting a Call
While on a call it’s possible to place the call on Mute, this prevents the caller from hearing you but you can
still hear the caller. To mute a call:
1. Press during an active call.
2. Press again to un-mute the call.
The mute key illuminates solid red when the call is on mute.
Adjusting the Ringer and Volume
1. Press to adjust the ring volume when the phone is idle or adjust the volume when
you are on a call.
Transferring Calls
There are two ways of transferring a call –Blind transfer and Consult transfer.
Blind Transfer allows you to transfer a call directly to another without announcing the call first
1. During a call press the Transfer button on the phone or tap the Transfer soft Key on the
phone screen.
2. Enter the number you want to transfer the call to.
3. Press on the phone or tap the Transfer soft key to complete the transfer.
Consult Transfer allows you to transfer a call to another party user announcing the call first
1. During a call press the Transfer button on the phone or tap the Transfer soft key (this
places the caller on hold).
2. Enter the number you want to transfer the call to.
3. When the party answers, announce the call.
4. Press on the phone or tap the Transfer soft key to complete the transfer.
If the party refuses the call prior to completing the transfer
1. Tap the More soft key then the End Call soft key, then tap Resume to go back to the original
caller
Call Pickup
If you are a member of a Call Pickup Group you can answer a ringing phone by using the Call Pickup Feature
access code from your own phone. If there are a couple of phones in your Call Pick Up group that are ringing,
when you press the *98 you will answer the phone that was ringing first.

1. On your phone, Press * 98 and lift the handset or
2. Tap the Group Pick Up soft key.
Conference Calls
Conference calls allow you to have multiple parties talking on a call To create a conference call:
1. Place a call to the first party.
2. Tap the Conference Soft Key.
(The active call is placed on hold).
3. Enter the number of the second party, and then press OK or tap the Send soft key.
4. When the second party answers the call, tap the Conference soft key again to join all parties in
the conference.
Note: 3 way conferencing is the default.
Call Forward
You can configure your phone to forward your calls to another number. There are three types of Call Forward:
Always Forward –Incoming calls are immediately forwarded to the configured number.
No Answer Forward - Incoming calls are forwarded if not answered after a configured number of rings to the
specified number.
Busy Forward –Incoming calls are immediately forwarded to the specified number if the phone is busy.
To activate Call Forward:
1. Swipe left/right to go to the second idle screen
2. Navigate to Settings->Features->Call Forward
3. Select the desired forwarding type and tap the On radio box of the corresponding field
4. Enter the contact number you want to forward incoming calls to in the Forward to field
5. If you select the No Answer Forward option, select the desired ring time to wait before forwarding from
the After
6. Ring Time field
7. (Optional.) Enter the always/busy/no answer forward on code or off code respectively in the On Code or
Off Code
8. field
9. Tap
The Call Forward icon is displayed on the LCD screen when Call Forward is active.
Disable Call Forward
1. Swipe left/right to go to the second idle screen
2. Navigate to Settings->Features->Call Forward
3. Select the desired forwarding type and tap the Off radio box of the corresponding field

Do Not Disturb (DND)
You can use DND to reject incoming calls automatically on your phone. Calls will go directly to your Voicemail
or receive a busy message.
To activate:
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to enter the control centre and toggle DND on
2. Tap
OR
3. Swipe left/right to go to the second idle screen, and then navigate to Settings->Features->DND
The DND icon appears at the top of the screen to indicate DND is turned on
Deactivating DND
You can deactivate DND when you are ready to resume receiving calls again.
1. Swipe left or right to go to the second idle screen.
2. Navigate to Settings->Features->DND.
3. (Optional) If you are in Custom mode, select the desired line.
4. Tap the off radio box in the DND Status field.
5. Tap
The DND icon disappears.
Call History
Your phone maintains Call History of Placed calls, Received calls, Missed Calls and Forwarded calls. Each list
can hold up to 100 entries. The following icons represent:

To view History:
1. Tap the History icon
(The touch screen displays all call records).
2. Tap or , to turn pages
3. You can tap Missed, Placed, Received or Forwarded to view entries in each call list.
4. Tap after the desired entry, to see more information like date and time relating to the call,
then you can
5. Tap Send to call back.
6. Tap Add to add the entry to the Directory.
7. Tap Edit to edit the entry.
8. Tap Blacklist to blacklist the entry.
9. Tap Delete to delete the entry,
Directory
Directory is not currently supported on the Yealink phones with Optus Loop.
Voicemail
To Setup Voicemail:
1. Press on your phone or tap Menu >Message.
2. When prompted enter your 4digit Voicemail password.
(This will be emailed to you from Optus).
For first time login
3. Change the password to your four digit password and confirm.
4. Record your name.
5. You can then setup 2 greetings, your No Answer and/or Busy greeting. Follow the prompts to
setup greetings.
6. Press 1to access your mailbox.
7. Press 2to change your Busy greeting, OR.
8. Press 3to change your No Answer greeting.
9. Press 1to record your new Busy or No Answer greeting
To listen to Voicemails:
1. When the phone screen displays you have a new voicemail and the power indicator LED slow
flashes red, press the Message button to access voicemail
2. Enter your Voicemail password.
3. Press 1to access your Voicemail box.
4. Press 1to listen to your messages.
5. Press #to save the message; 2to repeat the message; 7to Delete the message.
To access your Voicemail Remotely
1. Dial your phone number, when you hear your mailbox greeting being played, press *.
2. Enter your 4digit Voicemail password.

3. Press 1to access your Voicemail box.
4. Press 1to listen to your messages.
5. Press #to save the message; 2to repeat the message; 7to Delete the message
Speed Dials
You can set a line key as a Speed Dial key for a contact number you call frequently or a Feature Access Code you
use alot.
1. Swipe left or right to go to the second idle screen.
2. Navigate to Settings->Features->Dsskey
3. Select the desired line key
4. Select Speed Dial from the Type field
5. Select the desired line from the Account ID field
6. Enter the name that will appear on the touch screen in the Label field
7. Enter the contact number that you want to dial out directly in the Value field
8. Enter the key sequence that you want to send via DTMF in the Extension field
9. Tap
