The2N®EasyRouteGSM/UMTSgatewayisanewproduct,whichhasbeendeveloped
andmanufacturedtoprovidethemaximumutilityvalue,quality andreliability.We
hopeyouwillbefullysatisfiedwith2N®EasyRouteforalongtime.Therefore,use
your2N®EasyRouteforpurposesit hasbeendesignedandmanufacturedfor,in
accordanceherewith.
2N®EasyRouteisavailableintwobasicversionswithdifferenthardware capacities.
ThebasicversionisdesignedforInternetconnectionandUMTS/GSMcalls.TheFAX
version,inaddition,supportsVoIPvoicetransmissionandVoIPFAXtransmission
usingtheT.38protocol.Theparametersaredistinguishedasfollows.
nThe2N®EasyRoutebasicversion parametersaredesignatedas ER.
nThe2N®EasyRouteFAX version parametersaredesignatedas ERF.
Tip
nYoucanidentify yourgatewayeasily:A gatewaythatenablesFAX and
VoIPcallsisan ERF version.
nTomakesure,selectthe Setup>Telephony menu.Ifthemenuincludes
theSIPandFAX submenus,yourgatewayis ERF. If not,itis ER.

Unlikemobilephones, 2N®EasyRoutedoesnot exposeyoutoadirect

signalstrengthusingthe2N®EasyRoutewebinterface.

nTightentheantennaconnector gently byhand – neverusewrenches!
Note
nTheantennahasasufficientgainforatrouble-free operationinnormal
conditions.IftheGSMsignalispoororyouwanttoplaceyourantenna
separatelyfrom 2N®EasyRoute,youcanuseanantennawithanSMA-
connectorterminatedcable(notincluded).Theantennashouldbe
mountedvertically.
nTheantennashouldbelocatedwithin thesamebuildingas2N®EasyRoute.
SIMCard Installation
Releasethesafety pin andopentheSIMcardholderonthe2N®EasyRoutebackside.
InserttheSIMcardandclick theholderback intoposition.
Cautions
nMakesure thatyourGSMprovider’sSIMcardiscompatiblewiththeGSM
network supportedbyyour2N®EasyRouteversion.
nSelecttherequiredGSMproviderandSIMcardservices,suchascall
7forwarding,callbarring,preferrednetworks,SMS centre,etc.inyour
mobilephonebeforeinsertingyourSIMcardin2N®EasyRoute.

2N®EasyRouteisfedwith10–16V DC.Where asourceother thantheincludedpower
supply adapterisused,thevoltagerangeandpolarityshownonthe2N®EasyRoute
power supplyconnectorhavetobemaintained
Warning
nDo notconnectthe powersupply untiltheantennaisconnectedto
2N®EasyRoutetoavoidtheGSM/UMTSmoduledamage.
Restart(Reset) Button
Therestart(reset)buttonislocatedtotheleftof the2N®EasyRoutepower supply
plug.Whenpressedshortly,itrestarts2N®EasyRoute.Whenpushedlonger(10sat
least),itresets2N®EasyRoutetodefaultvalues(factoryset-up).

nYouwillfindthedefault valuesettinguseful,forexample,whenyou
forgetthepassword or thegateway IPaddress foryourwebinterface
access.
