Nærvær is the Danish word for presence, the concept at heart of this
simple table by Norm Architects that invites you to be present. Whether
connecting over a conversation or a cosy meal, it’s all about being intimate
and in the moment.
Ironically, the design of Nærvær is so simple it doesn’t impose its own
presence on a space. Pronounced “naer-vaer”, it’s comprised of a powder
coated, circular steel base and cylindrical stem supporting a round or
square laminate table top. Don’t miss the oak veneer along the table top
edges, a discrete detail in a design that could easily t into a corner or a
crowded space. Allowing you to focus on the space and the people who ll it.

Step 1
Place carefully the top support (B) onto the column (C)
and align the holes with the corresponding holes in the
column. Place the large bolts (E) in the appointed holes
and fasten them to the column with Allen Key (G).
Step 2
Turn upside down and place the top support on a soft,
flat surface.
Step 3
Place carefully the base (A) on the other end of the
column. Align the holes with the corresponding holes in
the column. Place the large bolts in the appointed holes
and fasten with the Allen Key.

Safety precautions
- Dispose of plastic bag from packaging and do not allow
children to play with it.
- The table is only intended for interior use.
- Handle table tops with care in order not to scratch surfaces.
- Power tools can be used to assemble the table. Be careful
not to overtighten or damage screw or thread.
- Two or more persons are needed to turn table around
once assembled.
- Spilled liquids of any kind should be removed immediately
from the table top as it may penetrate the surface treat-
ment and cause damage to the it.
Cleaning instructions
- For daily care, dust table with a soft dry cloth.
- Cleaning can be done using a soft cloth wrung in luke-
warm water following the wood grains and dried immedi-
ately with a soft cloth, also following the wood grains.
- Avoid use of cleaning detergents and abrasive clean-
ing agents as they may damage the surface of the oiled
wood. Avoid placing wooden furniture in direct sunlight,
excessive heat or humidity.

Step 4
Place the table top (D) upside down on a soft, flat surface.
Place carefully the top support on the table top. Align the
holes with the corresponding holes in the table top.
Place the small bolts (F) in the appointed holes and fasten
with the Allen Key.
Step 5
Before turning the table around place the 5 felt pads (H)
proportional to each other in a circle approximately 2 cm
from the edge of the base.
Step 6
Turn the table upside down and place it carefully on the base.
