In den Ü erlaufschacht des Xenia wird das Ü erlaufsystem mit Hilfe des mitgelieferten PVC-Rohr-
Schlüssels eingesetzt.

Im Unterschrank efindet sich ein Kugelhahn (A . 2, Nr. 8), der leicht geschlossen werden muss,
um das Wasser im Ü erlaufkasten anzustauen. Schließt man zu stark oder ist der Rücklauf aus
irgendeinem Grunde verstopft, steigt das Wasser im Aquarium an und läuft durch den Notü erlauf
zum Filter ecken. In solch einem Fall ist der Kugelhahn weiter zu öffnen oder eine etwaige
Verstopfung zu eseitigen. Produziert der Ü erlauf laute Geräusche, muss der Hahn weiter
geschlossen, das Wasser somit stärker angestaut werden, damit keine Luft mitgerissen wird.
Zumindest in der Anfangsphase muss hier regelmäßig kontrolliert und notfalls nachjustiert werden.
Mit Hilfe der mitgelieferten PVC-Rohre mit an einer Seite ausgeformten Schlüssel zur Aufnahme der
Muttern der Durchführungen (Tankverschrau ungen) können diese Muttern fest angezogen oder
gelöst werden. Die Durchführungen müssen entsprechend A . 3 montiert werden.

ange racht und so weit wie möglich angezogen. Der Kunststoffgleitring muss ei allen

In dem aufgesteckten Bogen der Rückförderleitung efindet sich ein laues Fitting. Hier wird Luft
angesaugt, so ald die Förderpumpe im Unterschrank ausfällt. Dies verhindert, dass sich
kommunizierende Röhren ilden und durch rücklaufendes Wasser das Filter ecken ü erläuft.
Beim Start des Aquariums füllt man dieses zunächst solange mit Wasser, is das Filter ecken im
vorderen Teil 10 - 12 cm hoch mit Wasser gefüllt ist und startet dann die Förderpumpe. Sinkt der
Wasserstand im Filter ecken a , füllt man is zum genannten Maximum nach. Es muss
ausreichend Platz ver lei en, damit das eim Ausfall oder A stellen der Förderpumpe
nachströmende Wasser noch ins Filter ecken passt.
Die Ka el von Strömungspumpen oder sonstigen, im Aquarium ange rachten Teilen, können durch
das Leerrohr nach unten geführt werden. Ist ein Stecker dafür zu groß, kann das auf die hintere
Schei e aufgescho ene Profil mit einer PUK Säge durchtrennt werden, um Ka el nach hinten aus
dem Aquarium heraus zu führen. Die Rückseite sollte a er weitestgehend geschlossen lei en,
damit der Lüfter die Luft im Aquarium und nicht außerhal ansaugt.
Um das Filter ecken aus dem Schrank nehmen zu können, muss zuvor die Schrank lende zwischen
den Türen a genommen werden (Halteschrau en lösen).

3. Betrieb des Aquariums
Füllen Sie das Aquarium is zu den Ü erlaufkämmen mit Wasser. Starten Sie danach die Pumpen.
Kommen aus dem Strömungsrohr Luft lasen, füllt man vorne Wasser ein (ca. 2 – 5 l), is die
Blasen verschwinden.
Als Zu ehör zum Betrie des Xenia empfehlen wir Ihnen unsere Reef Life System Coral:
•Reef Life Calcium, KH Buffer, Trace oder Reef Life Calciumbuffer dienen zur Versorgung
der Korallen mit le ensnotwendigem Kalk und Spurenelementen.
•Andere Produkte dieser Serie, wie z. B. Reef Life Iodine, Reef Life Strontium oder Reef Life
Magnesium ha en sich für die Pflege vieler Korallen e enfalls als unent ehrlich erwiesen.
Diese Präparate kom iniert und regelmäßig angewendet, sind ein Garant für erfolgreiche
Meeresaquaristik.
Setzen Sie Ihr Meerwasser mit Osmosewasser an, um Algenpro leme durch Kieselsäuren,
Phosphate und Nitrate von Beginn an zu minimieren. Meersalz der Firma Aqua Medic ist aus Salzen
mit hoher Reinheit zusammengesetzt. Auf diese Weise unterstützen sie den Aquarianer ei seinen
Bemühungen, den Gehalt der o en angeführten Stoffe möglichst niedrig zu halten.
Die Befestigung von Steinen und Korallen gelingt pro lemlos mit dem Unterwasserkle er Reef
Construct.
4. Garantie
AB Aqua Medic Gm H gewährt eine 12-monatige Garantie a Kaufdatum auf alle Material- und
Verar eitungsfehler des Gerätes. Auf die Dichtigkeit des Beckens gewähren wir eine Garantie von
drei Jahren. Als Garantienachweis gilt der Original-Kauf eleg. Während dieser Zeit werden wir das
Produkt kostenlos durch Ein au neuer oder erneuerter Teile instand setzen (ausgenommen
Frachtkosten). Im Fall, dass während oder nach A lauf der Garantiezeit Pro leme mit Ihrem Gerät
auftreten, wenden Sie sich itte an Ihren Fachhändler.
Diese Garantie gilt nur für den Erstkäufer. Sie deckt nur Material- und Verar eitungsfehler, die ei
estimmungsgemäßem Ge rauch auftreten. Sie gilt nicht ei Schäden durch Transporte oder
unsachgemäße Behandlung, Fahrlässigkeit, falschen Ein au sowie Eingriffen und Veränderungen,
die von nicht-autorisierten Stellen vorgenommen wurden.
AB Aqua Medic Gm H haftet nicht für Folgeschäden, die durch den Ge rauch des Gerätes
entstehen.

The overflow system is inserted in the overflow shaft of the Xenia with the supplied PVC tu e key.

In the ca inet, there is a all valve (Fig. 2, No. 8) that has to e slightly closed to control the water
in the overflow ox. If the valve is closed to heavily or the return flow is locked for some reason,
the water rises in the aquarium and flows to the filter tank through the emergency overflow. In
such a case, the all valve has to e opened a it further and all lockages have to e eliminated.
If the overflow makes loud noises, the all valve has to e closed a it more so the water is ottled
up stronger so that no air is dragged along. At least in the initial phase this has to e controlled
regularly and, if necessary, to e adjusted.
With the supplied PVC tu es with moulded keys on one side for holding the nuts of the ushings
(tank fittings), these nuts can e tightened or released. The ushings have to e installed
according to Fig. 3.
Always re-tighten efore use. The slide ring and nut have to e mounted manually eforehand and
tightened as much as possi le. The ru er slide ring must always e attached to the side of the
rota le nut, the ru er gasket on the opposite side of the panel.

There is a lue fitting in the mounted end of the return line. Here, air is sucked in when the pump
in the ca inet fails. This prevents the formation of communicating pipes and an overflow of the
filter tank y returning water.
When starting the aquarium, water has to e filled in until the filter tank is filled up to 10 – 12 cm
in the front part and then the pump has to e started. If the water level in the filter tank
decreases, water has to e filled in until the a.-m. maximum is reached. Take care that enough
space is left so that the inflowing water in case of failure or shutdown of the circulation pump still
fits into the filter tank.
The ca les of circulation pumps or other parts mounted in the aquarium can e routed through the
empty conduit downwards. If a plug is too ig for this, the profile slid onto the rear panel can e
cut with a PUK saw so that ca les can e led out of the aquarium at the ack. The ack side
should, however, remain closed to allow the fan to suck in air in the aquarium and not from the
outside.
To e a le to take the filter tank out of the ca inet, first of all the ca inet’s cover plate etween the
doors has to e removed (loosen screws).

3. Operating the aquarium
Fill the aquarium with water up to the overflow com s. Then start the pumps. If there are air
u les coming out of the current pipe, fill water in the front (approx. 2 - 5 l) until the u les
disappear.
For operating the Xenia, we recommend our Reef Life System Coral as accessories:
•Reef Life Calcium, KH Buffer, Trace or Reef Life Calciumbuffer supplies corals with
essential calcium and trace elements.
•Other products of this series, such as Reef Life Iodine, Reef Life Strontium or Reef Life
Magnesium have also proved to e essential for the care of many corals.
If these additives are applied com ined and regularly, they guarantee for successful salt-water
aquarist.
We recommend to prepare your sea water with osmosis water in order to minimize from the
eginning algae pro lems y silicic acids, phosphates and nitrates. Sea salt of Aqua Medic is
formulated from highly purified compounds. In this way, oth products will support you to keep the
content of the a ove-mentioned su stances as low as possi le.
The fixing of rocks and corals can easily e done with the underwater adhesive Reef Construct.
4. Warranty
Should any defect in material or workmanship e found within 12 months of the date of purchase
AB Aqua Medic Gm H undertakes to repair or, at our option, replace the defective part free of
charge – always provided the product has een installed correctly, is used for the purpose that was
intended y us, is used in accordance with the operating instructions and is returned to us carriage
paid. The warranty term is not applica le on the all consuma le products.
Proof of Purchase is required y presentation of an original invoice or receipt indicating the dealer’s
name, the model num er and date of purchase, or a Guarantee Card if appropriate. This warranty
may not apply if any model or production num er has een altered, deleted or removed,
unauthorised persons or organisations have executed repairs, modifications or alterations, or
damage is caused y accident, misuse or neglect.
We regret we are una le to accept any lia ility for any consequential loss.

or any of its component parts, was not originally designed and / or manufactured for the market in
which it is used. These statements do not affect your statutory rights as a customer.
