WARNING: The DUAL-LOOP ATTACHMENT
STRAPS must be used as per instructions found
herein as well as the User’s Manual issued with
the Ferno Scoop EXL Stretcher, the lifter and
the stretcher frame.
The DUAL-LOOP ATTACHMENT
STRAPS are intended to be used with the
Ferno Scoop EXL Stretcher accessory in
combination with Arjo Maxi Move oor lift with
a compatible stretcher frame and only for
transferring purposes.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in
patients falling, causing injuries.
Before using your DUAL-LOOP ATTACHMENT
STRAPS, familiarise yourself with the various parts
and compatible accessories as illustrated in Fig. 1. 1
and Fig. 2 then read this manual in its entirety.
Prior to rst use, install the labels included with this
product to the four attachment points. See Fig.1.
Information in the manual is crucial to the proper
operation and maintenance of the product. It will
help protect your product and ensure that it performs
to your satisfaction.
The information in this booklet is important for your
safety and must be read and understood to help
prevent possible injuries.
If there is anything in the manual that is confusing
or hard to understand, call Arjo or their vendor (the
telephone number appears on the last page of this
manual.)
Safe Working Load
The DUAL-LOOP ATTACHMENT STRAPS have
been made with a lifting capacity of 227 kg (500 lb).
WARNING: The DUAL LOOP ATTACHMENT
STRAPS are intended to be used for patients
whose weight is within a specied safe working
load. Do not attempt to lift more than the lowest
weight limit indicated on the following:
• The lift;
•
The Ferno Scoop EXL Stretcher
(160 kg [350 lb]);
• The accessories.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in
patients falling, causing injury.
Safety Directions
Always ensure that:
• Care is taken when manually lifting
alternative / optional components (e.g.
stretcher frames, spreader bars etc.,)
to avoid injuries. Do not attempt to
manually lift the complete lifter.
• The need for a second attendant to
support the patient must be assessed
for each individual case.
• Before an attempt is made to move the
patient, an assessment is performed
by a qualied professional.
• You are prepared before attempting
to transfer a patient.
• An assessment of the suitability for
transfer of a patient who is connected to
electrodes, catheters or other medical
devices is conducted by qualied personnel
before performing the transfer.
• Violent impact during transfers is avoided.
•
WARNING: Always inspect the DUAL-LOOP
ATTACHMENT STRAPS prior each use
in search of irregularities as per Care and
Maintenance section on page 8.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in
patients falling, causing injuries.
• The straps are properly fastened.
• The transfer procedures outlined
in this manual are followed.
• The straps are cleaned and
maintained according to the Care and
Maintenance section of this manual.
