If the test equipment is used in m nner not specified in this user m nu l, the protection
provided by the equipment could be imp ired!

If the fuse F1 h s blown, ple se follow the instructions of this oper ting m nu l to
repl ce it! Only use fuse complying with the specific tion (see ch pter 7.1) s
repl cement.
If one of the fuses F2 or F3 h s blown, the device must not be used nymore. In this c se,
the device must be sent to BENNING for inspection nd rep ir.
Do not use the instrument in AC supply systems with volt ges higher th n 550 V AC.
Service, rep irs or djustment of instruments nd ccessories is only llowed to be
c rried out by competent uthorized personnel!
Ple se use st nd rd or option l BENNING ccessories only which re v il ble from
your uthorized speci lty ret iler!
Consider th t protection c tegory of some ccessories is lower th n of the instrument.
Test tips nd Tip "Comm nder" h ve remov ble c ps. If they re removed the protection
f lls to CAT II. Check m rkings on ccessories!

c p on, 4 mm tip: CAT II 1000 V / CAT III 600 V / CAT IV 300 V to e rth
The instrument come supplied with rech rge ble NiMh b ttery cells. The cells should
only be repl ced with the s me type s defined on the b ttery comp rtment l bel or s
described in this m nu l. Do not use st nd rd lk line b ttery cells while the power
supply d pter is connected, otherwise they m y explode!
H z rdous volt ges exist inside the instrument. Disconnect ll test le ds, remove the
power supply c ble nd switch off the instrument before removing b ttery comp rtment
cover.
Do not connect ny volt ge source on C1 input. It must be used only for connecting the
current cl mp d pters recommended by BENNING. M xim l input volt ge is 3 V!
