General Safety Summary
Review the following safety p ecautions ca efully befo e ope ate the device to
avoid any pe sonal inju ies o damages to the device and any p oducts
connected to it.
To avoid potential haza ds use the device as specified by this use ’s guide
only.
 To Avoid Fire or Personal Injury
 Use Proper Power Cord. Use only the powe co d specified fo this
p oduct and ce tified fo the count y of use.
 Connect and Disconnect Properly. Do not connect o disconnect
p obes o test leads while they a e connected to a voltage sou ce.
 Connect and Disconnect Properly. Connect the p obe output to the
measu ement device befo e connecting the p obe to the ci cuit unde test.
Disconnect the p obe input and the p obe efe ence lead f om the ci cuit
unde test befo e disconnecting the p obe f om the measu ement device.
 Observe All Terminal Ratings. To avoid fi e o shock haza d, obse ve all
atings and ma kings on the p oduct. Consult the p oduct manual fo
fu the atings info mation befo e making connections to the p oduct.
 Use Proper Probe. To avoid shock haza d, use a p ope ly ated p obe fo
you measu ement.
 Avoid Circuit or Wire Exposure. Do not touch exposed connections and
components when powe is on.
 Do Not Operate With Suspected Failures. If suspected damage occu s
with the device, have it inspected by qualified se vice pe sonnel befo e
fu the ope ations.
 Provide Proper Ventilation. Refe to the installation inst uctions fo
p ope ventilation of the device.
 Do not operate in Wet/Damp Conditions.
 Do not operate in an Explosive Atmosphere.
 Keep Product Surfaces Clean and Dry.

The oscilloscope is small, lightweight, no exte nal powe equi ed, po table
oscilloscopes! The oscilloscopes is ideal fo p oduction test, esea ch and
design and all of the applications involving analog ci cuits test and
t oubleshooting, as well as education and t aining.

Install Software
Caution: You must install the softwa e befo e using the oscilloscope.
1. While in Windows, inse t the installation CD into the CD-ROM d ive.
2. The installation should sta t up automatically. Othe wise in Windows
Explo e , switch to the CD-ROM d ive and un Setup.exe.
3. The softwa e Installation is sta ted. Click 'Next' to continue.
4. Choose a destination di ecto y. Click 'Next' to continue.

1. Connect the A-Type Plug of USB cable to you PC’S USB po t.

Connect the oscilloscope
You should connect the A-Type Plug of USB cable to you PC USB po t
and connect the B-Type Plug of USB cable to oscilloscope USB po t.

Input a signal to a channel of the oscilloscope
The oscilloscope is equipped with dual channels plus exte nal t igge .
Please input signal in the following steps:
1. Set the attenuation switch on the p obe as 10X and connect the p obe
on the oscilloscope with CH1. Aim the slot in the p obe connecto at
the faucet on BNC of CH1 and inse t, then, tu n ight to lock the
p obe. Finally, attach the tip of p obe and g ound nip to the Connecto
of P obe compensato .
2. Set the CH1 p obe attenuation of the oscilloscope to X10. (The default
is X1).
3. Attach the tip of p obe and g ound nip to the Connecto of P obe
compensato . Click the button. A squa e wave will be displayed
within a seve al seconds. (App oximately 1 kHz, 2V, peak- to- peak).
Inspect CH2 with the same method.

Probe Compensation
Pe fo m this function to match the cha acte istics of the p obe and the channel input.
This should be pe fo med wheneve attaching a p obe to any input channel at the fi st
time.
■ F om the “P obe” menu, select attenuation to 1:10. Set the switch to “X10” on the
p obe and connect it to CH1 of the oscilloscope. When using the p obe hook-tip, inse t
the tip onto the p obe fi mly to ensu e a p ope connection.
■ Attach the p obe tip to the P obe Compensato and the efe ence lead to the g ound
connecto , select CH1, and then p ess the “AUTOSET“ button into the menu o the
toolba .
■ Check the shape of the displayed wavefo m.

■ If necessa y, use a non-metallic tool to adjust the t imme capacito of the p obe fo
the fattest squa e wave being displayed on the oscilloscope.
■ Repeat if necessa y.
WARNNING: To avoid elect ic shock while using the p obe, be su e the pe fection of the
insulated cable, and do not touch the metallic po tions of the p obe head while it is
connected with a voltage sou ce.
Self Calibration
The self calib ation outine lets you optimize the oscilloscope signal path fo
maximum measu ement accu acy. You can un the outine at any time but you
should always un the outine if the ambient tempe atu e changes by 5 o ℃
mo e. Fo accu ate calib ation, powe on the oscilloscope and wait twenty
minutes to ensu e it is wa med up. To compensate the signal path, disconnect
any p obes o cables f om the input connecto s. Then, access the “Menu ->
Utility -> Calibration” option and follow the di ections on the sc een. The self
calib ation outine takes about seve al minutes.

The User’s Interface
Click the softwa e icon on the desk afte you finished the softwa e setting and
equipment connecting. Then a use inte face will be showed as follows:
In addition to displaying wavefo ms, the display a ea is filled with many details
about the wavefo m and the oscilloscope cont ol settings.

The use can tu n on/off the CH1/CH2. Also the use can change the
CH1/CH2 volt/div, coupling and p obe attenuation.
6. The Trigger Panel
In this panel, the use can change the t igge mode, sweep, sou ce and
slope.
7. It shows the system time.

Readouts show the coupling of the channels.
Readouts show the ve tical scale facto s of the channels.
A “B” icon indicates that the channel is bandwidth limited.

13. The markers show the reference points of the displayed waveforms.
If there is no marker, the channel is not displayed.
