harmful (e.g. lead from old paint). Always consider the risk accociated with the materials you are working with. To reduce the risk of exposure:
• Work in well-venlated areas.
• Work with approved safety equipment, such as dust masks that are specially designed to lter microscopic parcles.
Addional safety instrucons for mul-purpose table saw
WARNING: Be sure to read and understand all instrucons. Failure to follow all insturcons listed below may result in electric shock, re and/ or serious
personal injury.
1. Know your power tool. Read the operator's manual carefully. Learn the applicaons and limitaons, as well as all specic potenal hazards.
2. Make sure any operator of the tool is adequately trained in the use, adjustment and operaon of the machine. The power tool may only be used by personnel
who have been instructed with respect to the associated hazards. The required minimum age must be observed.
3. Always wear safety glasses or goggles when using this mitre saw. Everyday eyeglasses have only impact-resistant lenses; they are not safety glasses.
4. Wear a face or dust mask if you are working in dusty condions.
5. Always protect your hearing. Wear hearing protecon during extended periods of operaon.
6. lnspect the tool's power cord regularly and if damaged have it repaired of replaced by an authorised professional. Always be aware of the cord's posion.
7. Always check for damaged parts before using the power tool. Any component that may have been damaged should be carefully checked to see if it can
funcon as intended. Check for misalignment, loose connecons between parts, broken parts, and any other condion that may aect the operaon of the
power tool. Any damaged part should be properly repaired or replaced at a qualied service center. Keep guards in place and in working order.
8. Always make sure that your extension cord is in good condion. Extension cords should be rated for loads that are at least equal to, and preferably greater
than, the requirements needed to run your tool eecvely. An unsuitable extension cord can lead to loss of power and overheang.
9. This miter saw can be used for cung wood and plasc only. Make sure to choose the appropriate cung disc for your applicaon. Always use saw blades
of the correct size and with a suitable mounng hole. Do not use "High Speed" (HSS) blades or blades that are damaged or deformed. Use only saw blades
recommended by the manufacturer and which are the exact bore and diameter required for this machine.
10. When sawing long pieces, always use extra support. Use clamps when needed or other clamping devices.
11. Make sure your immediate work area has adequate lighng and that no obstrucons will interfere with your operaon.
12. Refrain from removing any remains or other parts of the workpiece from the immediate cung area while the tool is sll running and the saw head is not
in the safe rest posion. Never reach around the saw blade. Turn o tool and wait for saw blade to stop before moving the workpiece or changing sengs.
13. Never apply pressure on this tool. Serious injury can occur if the power tool is overturned and you come into contact with the cung disc.
14. Reduce the risk of unintenonal starng. Make sure the power switch is in the OFF posion before plugging in.
WARNING: The operaon of any table saw can result in debris or other foreign objects being ejected into your eyes, which can result in severe eye
damage. Before using the power tool, always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields and a full face shield if needed.
WARNING: If any parts are missing, do not operate your table miter saw unl the missing parts are replaced. Failure to follow this rule could
result in serious personal injury.
Carrying your tool with safety
CAUTION: The power cord must be disconnected from the power supply before aempng to move the tool.
1. Always secure all moving porons before carrying the tool. Make sure all guards are in place and all locking screws are ghtened to avoid sudden unexpected
movements.
• Lock the cung head in its lowest posion using the cung head locking pin. Make sure that the locking pin is completely seated in its socket.
• Loosen the miter angle locking screw. Turn the table to either of its maximum sengs.
• Lock the table in posion using the locking screw.
2. Li the tool using the two carry handle cut-outs machined into either side of the machine base, to transport the machine.
CAUTION: Never carry the table saw by the power cord. Carrying the tool by the power cord could damage the insulaon or the wire connecons resulng in
electric shock or re.
CAUTION: Do not use the blade guard as a "liing point".
3. Although compact, this tool is heavy. To reduce the risk of back injury, get competent help whenever you have to li the saw. Hold the tool close to your body
when liing. Bending your knees and keeping your upper body upright allows you to use your legs to li, rather than your back.

before aempng to operate the machine.
