Mini Computer Laptop Cart
GENERAL USE
This cart is designed to allow you to easily store, secure, recharge and transport netbook
computers and peripherals between classrooms. Please read this User’s Guide carefully.
It contains important advice concerning the use, and safety of your retford NET OOK32
Cart. Keep this User’s Guide in a safe place and pass it on to any subsequent user. This cart
must only be used for its intended purpose in accordance with this User’s Guide.
CAUTION
• This cart is not designed to be operated by a child or student.
• Adult operation and supervision is recommended at all times.
• Although this cart is designed to support the transport of equipment within a school campus, it
is not designed for outdoor use.
• Liquids should not be stored in, set on or placed inside this unit.
• Turn power switch to the off position before plugging in or unplugging the electrical units.
• Do not unplug this product from the outlet when your hands are wet.
• Do not move the cart by pulling the power cord.
• Do not plug the unit in if the switch, receptacle(s) or power cord has been damaged.
• Contact retford or a qualified electrician before attempting to make any type of electrical
repair or parts replacement.
SAFETY
• efore moving this cart from one room to the next, wrap the power cords around the cord
winders located on the sides of the cart – one power cord from the Timer, the other power
cord from the 4-outlet Auxiliary Power Strip inside the cart.
• Always plug the Auxiliary Power Strip into its own circuit and the Timer into its own circuit.
• Do not pull cart. Always push the cart using the ergonomic handles.
• Engage locking casters when cart is not in transit.
• Use extra caution on ramps and thresholds.

• Each electrical unit is mounted inside the rear of the cart, outlets facing forward.
• An on/off switch can be found on each electrical unit
• An Automatic Timer/Charger allows both electrical units to be charged using one electrical circuit
• Electrical units are plugged directly into the Timer/Charger
• Timer/Charger switches the electrical current from one charging unit to the other
• Timer is resettable and ships standard with a four hour charging period per electrical unit - eight

Second Source – The Auxiliary ower Strip
• A four-outlet power unit is mounted inside the cart to provide auxiliary power for accessory
equipment. Must be plugged into its own electrical circuit to avoid tripping circuits.

• Entire unit is constructed of 10-, 14-, 16 and 18-gauge steel
• Finish is an environmentally-safe Anthracite Power Paint that resists scratching and chipping
• Ventilation holes are found on the doors, sides and back panels so units stay cool while charging
• Cart rolls on four 5" swivel stem casters

• Features a 14-gauge locking point and two 40mm resettable combination locks for securing both
the front doors of the cart and he rear-access back panel.

Located on the bottom rear panel of your NET OOK32, the retford Timer is a 24 hour time switch
that provides accurate timing with 96 non-detachable trippers that are adjustable in 15 minute
increments up to 48 cycles per day. Easy to set and operate, similar to your Christmas Tree Timer.
• First, plug the power cord into a 110 volt standard outlet.
• Set timer dial to desired timing scheme.
• Note: To activate “Side A” of the timer, leave the trippers in the outward position.
• Push the trippers towards the center of the dial to activate equipment on “Side ”
• Now, plug appropriate equipment into both “Side A & ”.
• Toggle the power switch on the “ON” position. Let timer run as needed.

Instructions For
Using The Timer
UL recommends that each electrical unit be plugged into a separate
electrical circuit when charging at no more than a consistent 13 amp
usage to prevent nuisance tripping of the electrical breaker. retford’s
Automatic Timer allows both charging units to be plugged into the timer.
The timer switches the electrical current from one charging unit to the
other, therefore charging all of the notebooks from one circuit (one plug).
Timer is resettable and ships standard with a two hour charging period per
electrical unit - eight hour charging time for all netbook computers.

Open Lock The First Time
1. Set the Combination Wheels to 0-0-0-0
2. Depress Shackle and pull open.
To Set You Own Combination
**REMEMBER** Combination can only be set when lock is open!
1. Insert “Reset Tool” (included in package) in hole on side of lock
2. Push Reset Tool in and turn 90 degrees in either direction. (Reset Tool
automatically stays in this position). Failure to exert force while pushing
Rest Tool in will result in a failed attempt to set or reset combination.
3. Set Combination Wheels to desired combination.
4. Turn and remove Reset Tool. Lock is now set to new combination.
5. To lock, scramble the Wheels and close the Shackle.
6. To reopen, dial your combination and Depress Shackle.
**REMEMBER** Be sure to record your combination!

Your NET OOK32 Mini Computer Laptop Cart comes with two Resettable
Combination Padlocks – one for the front doors and one for the lockable
rear access drop-down panel. oth locks may be set with the same
combination, or you may choose to have the combination on the back lock
different than the front, if the rear access is restricted to IT Administrators,
for example. The use of padlocks for locking is still the best all around
security solution. No keys to worry about losing and changing locks is as
simple as replacing the retford padlocks with your own.
