Mobile: Sky and Sea -Assembly Instructions-
This mobile depicts birds flying in the sky, and cute little fish swimming
in the sea.The arm that the string hangs from shows a day scene on
one side and a night scene on the other.
Have fun decorating your room with this playful, moving mobile!
Before cutting out the parts, use a ruler and exhausted pen (a pen that has run out of ink)
to score along the fold lines. Cut the parts out roughly first, then cut carefully along the
scissors lines after you have folded them. If you cut them out before folding them it may be
difficult to fold the edges neatly.
Use the base of the blade when cutting. Take care not to use the entire blade down to the tip,
as this makes it more difficult to control the cutting direction.
Turn the paper over and place it in the palm of your hand. Apply pressure to the rod and
move it left and right to curve the paper.
Fold the string in half and align the ends, then make a knot about 1cm from the end.
Use some scrap paper to create a pallet and spatula for the glue. This will ensure that you
don't use too much glue, and allow for a clean finish.
For parts that are glued together, place them between sheets of paper after gluing and then
pile something heavy like books on top. This will ensure a neat, flat finish.
Try it in the margin first, to test how hard you should press with the pen.
Be sure to put it in between scrap paper to keep your things clean from the glue.

Be careful that sharp corners or scraps of paper
do not poke or get in your eyes, etc.
Glue, scissors, strings and other tools may be
dangerous to young children so be sure to keep
them out of the reach of young children.

then make a knot about 1cm from the end.

and put glue on one side of the tab.
Fold about 50cm of string in half and
align the ends, then make a knot about
1cm from the end. Thread the ends
through the loop as shown by the arrow.
Caution! Make sure that the awake
water bird sits on the bright water,
and the sleeping water bird sits on the dark water.
Put in between two sheets of paper,
pile something heavy such as books
on top and leave to dry for a few hours.
Then, cut out the part.
Turn over the water birds and put
glue on the area.

Cut along the square line around the edge
of the torso parts, and make a mountain fold
along the center line.
Make sure these parts fit together exactly.
Put glue on the area and
attach the torso parts.
The gray area on the tips of
the wings should face up.
Fold about 25cm of string in half and align the ends,
then make a knot about 1cm from the end.
Thread the ends through the loop as shown by the arrow.
Turn over and glue.

Put glue on the glue spots and fins indicated
and attach the left and right sides together.
Turn over and curve.
Put glue on the back of the
lower half of the eye too.
Cut a slot.

Connect the parts in the following order.
Connect the sky arm and sea arm.
Attach the bird ornaments to either side of the sky arm.
Attach the fish ornaments to the sea arm.
Make a loop near the knot and
pass the sea arm through it.
