Troubleshoong General
The ALX-OMNI-LITE is a simple, entry-level me-based
chemical dispenser with mounng plate for dispense
Applicaons. It restricts access to chemicals to only
authorized individuals either with a 4 digit access
code or HID RFID card (oponal add-on).
The ALX-LITE is designed to accommodate dispense
applicaons for up to 6 chemicals at a me. Dispenses
are controlled via simple xed-me values with the
opon of mulple products per dispense Applicaon,
if desired. New Applicaons are set up directly on the
unit and can be modied at any me. The controller
also records all chemical consumpon data into a
simple .CSV le format that can be downloaded to a
USB drive for review.
Overview
Terminology
▪Users - The people who will be using the system
to dispense Applicaons. Up to 999 users can be
stored.
▪Devices - The physical outputs and/or inputs that
connect to the controller to perform a funcon.
The ALX-LITE is compable CAN-SO-1 and CAN-
SO-4 solenoid valve output devices.
▪Applicaons - Recipes which determine the type
and sequence of Dispense Steps. Up to 999
recipes can be stored.
▪Dispense Step(s) - Segments of an Applicaon
that determine which output Device will be
energized and for how long. 1-6 steps can be used
per an Applicaon.
▪Fixed Time Step - Will energize an output Device
for a specied amount of me. Reported Step
volume must be manually entered.

▪ Determine mounng locaon, with consideraon of the following:
▪User accessibility
▪Distance to electrical outlet
▪Distance to Devices/pumps
▪ Securely mount to wall using appropriate hardware (not included) via the keyholes on the mounng plate.
▪Plug power cord into a 115 VAC, GFCI protected receptacle.

reconnected: hand ghten the M12 cable connecons, then ghten two more clicks using wrenches.

NOTE: Each user must have a unique 4-digit

privileges.
▪If equipped, an RFID card can be scanned to
populate the RFID eld.
NOTE: Only one RFID card can be assigned per
user, cards cannot be shared between other
users.
▪Press the ESC key to exit.

are illuminated.
▪Log in as an administrator.
▪Use ↑and ↓keys to select Devices and press

▪Select a device from the list and press ENTER.
NOTE: When new Devices are rst connected,
they will appear in the Device list with the
name "CONFIG PUMP"
TIP: A red indicang light will blink on the
currently selected device

▪Valve - Constant output
▪Piston Pump - Pulsed output with user
dened stroke Volume and ON/OFF cycle

▪If you wish to prime, press the START key to turn
the Device output on and press STOP when to
turn o.

WARNING:
Pressing the START key on this screen will cause
the output to turn on and the pump to run!

chemical in an appropriate vessel!

▪Log in as an administrator.
▪Use ↑and ↓keys to select Applications and
press ENTER.
▪Select 00-Add New App and press ENTER.
▪Enter a 3-digit Access Code and a Name.
NOTE: Each Applicaon must have a unique
3-digit code.
▪Select Add dispense step and press ENTER.
▪Select a Device. The Device name will be displayed
below.
▪ Set the On Time for the Fixed Time Dispense Type:
▪Fixed Time - Will energize the Device for
the amount of me specied in the Time:
eld and requires Volume: to be manually
entered for Reporng purposes.
NOTE: If the Device is congured as a Piston
Pump, the Type: eld will show Piston
Pump. Volume: must be manually entered
and Time: is automacally calculated.
▪Press ESC to return to previous screen.
▪ Repeat steps 5-7 above to add more dispense
steps or press ESC if nished.
▪When prompted to save changes, press ENTER to
save or ESC to cancel.

CAUTION:
Always make sure to install and ghten the
protecve cap aer the USB ash drive is re-
inserted. If using a ash drive other than the one
included, make sure the protecve cap will sll t
in place and screw on all the way!
NOTE: When imporng sengs, the system will
automacally reboot when nished.
The ALX-LITE includes a 8GB USB drive already
plugged into the port on the boom of the controller.
The controller will store dispense logs on this USB
drive, which can be retrieved manually at anyme.
The USB drive can also be used to import and export
controller sengs (Users, Devices, Applicaons) and
for soware updates.
!CAUTION:
Leave a USB drive plugged into the unit at all
mes, except when manually retrieving logs or
imporng/exporng. If the USB drive is removed
indenitely or for long periods of me, the
controller will be unable to record data!
Export Sengs
This will export the controller sengs for Users,
Devices and Applicaons. It will create a le for each
on the USB drive with the sux export.db.
▪Make sure a USB drive is plugged into the
controller port.
▪Log in as an administrator.
▪Use ↑and ↓keys to select USB Options and
press ENTER.
▪Use ↑and ↓keys to select Export cong and
press ENTER.
Import Sengs
This will import previously saved sengs for Users,
Devices and Applicaons.
▪ Follow the steps above to export sengs onto a
USB drive and plug it into a laptop.
▪Save a copy of each export.db le to be imported
and rename each to import.db
▪Plug the USB drive back into the controller
▪Use ↑and ↓keys to select Import for the items
to be imported and press ENTER.

me (C 0:07) and the total Applicaon me (T
0:20).
▪ When the applicaon completes, the screen will
show Dispense Complete and a summary.
▪To return to the previous Select App screen press
ESC.
▪Press START or ENTER to dispense another
Applicaon.
▪To stay log out press ESC again to return to the
main screen.
