DO GUIDE
Mounting onto a Rack Rail
The DM-RMC-4K-SCALER-C mounts onto
the front or rear rail of a rack. Position
either the left or right mounting ange of the
device so that the holes align with the holes
in the rack. Then, secure the device to the
rack using two rack mounting screws (not
included).

DO Make Connections to the Device
Make connections to the DM-RMC-4K-SCALER-C as required for the application.
The DM IN port is a PoDM+ (Power over DM) PD (Powered Device) port. To receive PoDM+, the
DM-RMC-4K-SCALER-C requires a connection to a DigitalMedia™ switcher or other equipment
that has a PoDM+ PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) port. Any wiring that is connected to a
PoDM+ PSE port is for intra-building use only and should not be connected to a line that runs
outside of the building in which the PSE is located.
NOTE: Connection of the CEN-SWPOE-16 to the POE IN ports of DMC-4K-CO-HD output
cards in a DigitalMedia switcher can provide PoDM+ power to up to eight
DM-RMC-4K-SCALER-C devices.
NOTE: Connection of the DM-RMC-4K-SCALER-C to the included power pack is not required
when PoDM+ is used to power the device.

Specications subject to change without notice.
DO Set the IP Address
The conguration of the receiver within the DigitalMedia 8G+®system determines how the IP
address of the receiver is set:
• If the receiver connects to a DigitalMedia switcher, the receiver is congured by the
switcher automatically.
• If the receiver connects to a DigitalMedia 8G+ transmitter, the receiver uses its own
conguration settings. By default, DHCP (Dynamic Host Conguration Protocol) is
enabled. If desired, you can assign the default IP address to the receiver by holding down
the SETUP button while the unit boots up. The default IP address overwrites the current
setting. The default IP address of the DM-RMC-4K-SCALER-C is 192.168.1.201, and the
default IP address of the DM-RMC-4K-SCALER-C-DSP is 192.168.1.202. To manually set a
different IP address, use Crestron Toolbox™.
