Shock/Contact Alarm
Dual Function Alarm Product Code: EL00147
To use the unit with the magnetic contact with/without
the vibration function
The gap between the magnetic contact and the alarm
should be within 10mm so that the contact and the alarm
are close together when a door or window is closed. The
magnetic contact can be installed on either the left or right
hand side.
Follow the instructions under Vibration Function to
deactivate or activate as required.
When exiting from the protected area
Press the number ‘4’ on the keypad and the alarm will
sound a tone to indicate that the alarm is armed. You have
30 seconds to vacate the area, the red LED will flash once
when the alarm is active. After this time, if the magnetic
contact is broken, you have 5 seconds to enter your PIN. If
no PIN is entered the alarm will sound for 30 seconds, then
pause for 5 seconds. This will be repeated until your PIN is
entered or the magnetic contact is closed.
If vibration is detected
When vibration is detected the alarm will sound for 30 sec-
onds, then reset for 5 seconds. If vibration is detected again
the alarm will sound for 30 seconds. This will be repeated
until vibration stops or your PIN is entered.
When entering the protected area
Simply enter your four digit PIN code (default factory code
is ‘1234’) within 5 seconds of entering the area. The unit will
sound a tone to confirm the alarm is disabled.
To clean the case, use a soft, slightly damp cloth with water
and wipe dry. Never use chemicals to clean the case, as
they may damage the plastic and cause the alarm to fail.
The high output siren fitted to this quality alarm may cause
ear damage if used at close range for a prolonged period
of time. Keep away from children and pet’s ears.
This product is designed for use as a deterrent; it does not
guarantee protection or personal safety.
• When testing the alarm, make sure you hold it at least at
arm’s length away from your ear.
• The power source has a finite/limited life.
• DO NOT MODIFY THE ALARM.
• The alarm should be kept out of reach and audible range
of children and pets.

The Defender Shock/Contact Alarm is a dual function
130dBs alarm. The alarm can be triggered when
vibration is detected or when the door/window is open
and the magnets are separated. The vibration function
can be disabled so the unit will only trigger when the
door/window opens. The alarm is for indoor use only.
The battery compartment is accessed from the back of
the alarm by removing the screw at the base of the unit
and pulling up the back cover. Insert 3 x AAA batteries,
noting the correct polarity. When the last battery is
inserted, the alarm will beep to indicate the batteries
have been installed correctly. Replace the back cover
and screw. The unit has a solar panel which helps
to prolong the battery life of the unit; the batteries
should last up to 18 months. It is recommended that
the alarm is tested regularly. If the alarm sounds weak,
the batteries should be replaced. The alarm has a low
battery indicator located at the top of the alarm, if this
is showing, the batteries should be replaced.

The PIN code can be modified when the unit is in
‘disarm’ mode by:
1. Input the default factory PIN code 1234, the red LED
will flash.
2. Enter your new four digit PIN code.
3. The red LED will flash three times to confirm your
new code has been set successfully. The unit is still in
disarm mode.
4. If the procedure is not completed successfully within
30 seconds, the alarm will return to disarm mode.
Vibration function
Deactivating the vibration function
1. With the alarm in disarm mode, enter the PIN code,
followed by code ‘111’.
2. The red LED will flash three times to confirm the
vibration function is deactivated.
3. The unit will now be in disarm mode.
Activating the vibration function:
1. With the alarm in disarm mode, enter the PIN code,
followed by code ‘222’.
2. The red LED will flash three times to confirm the
vibration function is activated.
3. The unit will now be in disarm mode.
To use the unit as a vibration alarm with the
vibrations function activated
The unit can be secured either with adhesive tape
or with screws. To install with adhesive tape, simply
stick the tape to the desired location and attach the
unit.
