1. Indicazioni generali
La D.P.I. s.r.l. pur mettendo ogni possibile cura nella redazione del presente manuale, non assume responsabilità per equivoci
derivati da diverse interpretazioni del testo, errori di stampa o incompletezze. SEKUR è il marchio registrato dei dispositivi di
protezione individuale prodotti dalla D.P.I. s.r.l.. Non sono consentite modifiche e riparazioni del respiratore di fuga escABEK.
1.1 L’impiego dei respiratori di fuga escABEK presuppone la conoscenza e l’osservanza di questo manuale di istruzioni.
1.2 I respiratori di fuga escABEK sono destinati unicamente all’impiego descritto nel presente manuale di istruzioni.
1.3 La D.P.I. s.r.l. si assume le responsabilità previste dalle condizioni generali di contratto. Non si assume responsabilità quando:
a) non siano stati effettuati controlli sull’integrità del contenitore e del sigillo periodicamente e comunque prima dell’uso,
b) il dispositivo sia stato manomesso o non conservato come indicato nel presente manuale,
c) il dispositivo non sia stato impiegato in modo adeguato.
1.4 La D.P.I. s.r.l. non risponde dei danni causati dall’inosservanza del manuale di istruzioni.
1.5 Per quanto non menzionato, valgono le condizioni generali di contratto della D.P.I. s.r.l.. Nel caso non siate a conoscenza
delle suddette condizioni, Vi saranno inviate su richiesta dalla D.P.I. s.r.l..
Questo manuale di istruzioni informa sull'utilizzo del Respiratore di Fuga escABEK, aiutando a prevenire rischi a carico delle vie
respiratorie dovuti ad un‘eventuale esposizione a contaminanti (gas, vapori e polveri) presenti nell’atmosfera circostante. I
dispositivi filtranti sono mezzi protettivi esauribili ed offrono protezione da determinati agenti tossici in specifiche condizioni di
impiego riportate di seguito nel presente manuale. Porre anche attenzione al corretto immagazzinamento e conservazione del
dispositivo.
Osservare le disposizioni di legge ed i decreti in vigore a livello nazionale e nell'ambito della Comunità Europea relative all'impiego
di dispositivi di protezione delle vie respiratorie.
2. Campo di impiego
EscABEK P2 è un dispositivo di fuga per autosalvataggio che offre protezione ad ampio spettro delle vie respiratorie contro vari
gas dei tipi A, B, E, e K, nonché da aerosol e vapori in classe P2.
La versione escABEK P3, oltre ad essere un dispositivo di auto salvataggio offre protezione anche nell’utilizzo del filtro come classe
1 per i tipi B, E e K nonché da aerosol e vapori in classe P3.
L’intervallo di temperature di impiego è da -10°C a +50°C.

escABEK è costituito dai seguenti componenti:
•Boccaglio con stringinaso e cappuccio in PTFE completamente trasparente

La custodia del dispositivo dispone di un aggancio metallico per il trasporto in cintura, il medesimo aggancio può essere utilizzato
per collocare a parete gli escABEK pronti per l’uso, in alternativa al mantenimento del dispositivo nella scatola.
4. Capacità di protezione alle sostanze tossiche
I respiratori di fuga escABEK, sono stati certificati da APAVE SUDEUROPE SAS (n°0082), CS60193 13322 MARSEILLE CEDEX 16 –
France, conformemente alla Norma DIN 58647-7:1997 e sono risultati di classe 15 minuti garantendo pertanto, nelle condizioni
specificate nella Norma, durate ai tossici superiori a quelle indicate nella seguente tabella:

5. Osservazioni/limitazioni
•escABEK nella versione P2, è un dispositivo di autosalvataggio monouso. Dopo l'uso eventuale o la scadenza va
opportunamente smaltito o inviato alla D.P.I. s.r.l. o presso centri appositamente autorizzati dalla D.P.I. s.r.l. stessa
per il ricondizionamento. Non va utilizzato tal quale per usi successivi.
•escABEK nella versione P3, può essere un dispositivo di autosalvataggio monouso, ovvero un dispositivo di protezione
delle vie respiratorie con filtro in classe B1E1K1 P3 NR. Dopo l'uso eventuale o la scadenza va opportunamente
smaltito o inviato alla D.P.I. s.r.l. o presso centri appositamente autorizzati dalla D.P.I. s.r.l. stessa per il
ricondizionamento. Non va utilizzato tal quale per usi successivi.
•escABEK può essere utilizzato solo se la concentrazione dell’ossigeno nell’atmosfera è almeno del 17% in volume.
•escABEK può essere utilizzato in assenza di atmosfere arricchite di ossigeno o aree potenzialmente esplosive;
•escABEK non offre protezione contro monossido di carbonio (CO).
•escABEK offre protezione contro vapori organici bassobollenti in misura inferiore a quella dei vapori organici
altobollenti.
•La protezione contro tossici in concentrazione molto elevata è limitata. La protezione assicurata dai dispositivi è
quella indicata nelle tabelle di sopra sia in termini di concentrazione che di durata. Qualora la valutazione del rischio
individui condizioni più severe, il escABEK non è sufficiente ed è necessario l’uso di respiratori isolanti.
•La durata della protezione indicata nella tabella è riferita a determinate concentrazioni di tossici e ad una intensità
respiratoria media. La valutazione del rischio deve inoltre accertare se tale durata è coerente con il tempo
prevedibilmente necessario per raggiungere un luogo con aria respirabile.
•Utilizzatori che non abbiano familiarità con l’uso di dispositivi di protezione delle vie respiratorie, o in particolari
condizioni emotive, possono avvertire un incremento di resistenza respiratoria senza che ciò costituisca un’anomalia.
•Immagazzinare il dispositivo ove non siano presenti caldo, freddo od umidità eccessivi, irraggiamento o corrosivi. Le
condizioni di stoccaggio sono: temperatura da -10°C a +50°C con umidità relativa <90%. Condizioni differenti da quelle
specificate possono influire sulla scadenza del dispositivo.
•Nelle corrette condizioni di immagazzinamento il dispositivo ha una vita di 12 anni, con sostituzione del filtro dopo 6
anni.
•La scadenza (XX-YYYY mese e anno) è stampata sul retro dell’involucro.
•La data di manutenzione del filtro (XX/YY mese e anno) è stampata sul retro dell’involucro protettivo.
•La presenza del boccaglio vieta di parlare durante l’utilizzo.
•Il dispositivo deve essere indossato in conformità alle istruzioni per l'uso.
6. Istruzioni per l’uso
Il dispositivo è costituito da un cappuccio con un filtro, un boccaglio in EPDM nero ed uno stringinaso contenuti in un imballo
progettato per lo stoccaggio e l'immagazzinamento.
La presenza del boccaglio fornisce una buona adattabilità a differenti caratteristiche facciali. La funzionalità del dispositivo è
strettamente connessa alla capacità dell'utilizzatore di mantenere stabile il boccaglio in bocca, ed il suo utilizzo non è pertanto
consigliato a chi non abbia tale abilità.

Il dispositivo si può avere in una scatola di cartone contenente il presente manuale d'uso e manutenzione, o con staffa di
ancoraggio a muro dotata di una copia del manuale per ogni dispositivo
Per un corretto uso ed indossamento eseguire le seguenti operazioni:
•Accertarsi preliminarmente che l’involucro dell’escABEK sia sigillato ed integro e la data di scadenza non superata. Se il
sigillo risulta manomesso o la data di scadenza superata, non usare il dispositivo.
•Estrarre il respiratore dopo aver rimosso il nastro adesivo di chiusura dall’involucro (figura 1)
•Indossare il boccaglio prima e lo stringinaso poi (figura 2), quindi calzare il cappuccio sulla propria testa (figura 3) e tirare
la fettuccia elastica attorno al collo (figura 4)
•Respirare normalmente e lasciare immediatamente l’area contaminata.

7. Certificazioni
Il dispositivo escABEK P2 15 è stato sottoposto a tutti i test di certificazione descritti nella DIN 58647-7:1997.
Il dispositivo escABEK P3 15 è stato sottoposto a tutti i test di certificazione descritti nella DIN 58647-7:1997 e il filtro ha superato
i test descritti nell Norma EN 14387:04+A1:08.
Inoltre, fatta eccezione per la capacità filtrante del modulo antigas e per la resistenza alla fiamma del solo cappuccio in PTFE, il
dispositivo escABEK risponde anche ai requisiti definiti nella EN 403:2005.
La marcatura CE sull’imballo del dispositivo “CE 0426” identifica l’Organismo che ne effettua il controllo sulla produzione secondo
la procedura prevista dall’allegato IV del Regolamento 2016/425 - Italcert - Viale Sarca, 336 - 20126 Milano - Italia (Organo
Notificato n. 0426).

1. General information
D.P.I. s.r.l. has carefully worded and edited this instruction manual. However, in no event shall D.P.I. s.r.l. be liable for any damage

equipment manufactured by D.P.I. s.r.l. Technical alterations of the escABEK escape respirator are not allowed.
1.1 Before using escABEK escape respirators, users must ensure that all the instructions in this manual are read, understood
and followed.
1.2 escABEK escape respirators have been specifically designed for the use described in this manual.
1.3 The D.P.I. s.r.l. standard warranty indicates the full extent of the liability of D.P.I. s.r.l.. D.P.I. s.r.l. will not accept liability
for any damages caused if:
a) checks on the integrity of the container and of the seal have not been carried out periodically and in any case before use;
b) the respirator has been tampered or not stored according to the conditions indicated in this manual;
c) the respirator has not been used properly.
1.4 D.P.I. s.r.l. will not accept liability for any damages caused by failure to abide by the aforementioned provisions.
1.5 For everything which has not been mentioned above, the general conditions of this warranty apply. In the event that you
don’t know the conditions of the contract, D.P.I. s.r.l. will send further information upon written request.
This instruction manual provides information on the use of escABEK self rescue escape respirator, helping to prevent risks to the
respiratory tracts due to the exposure to toxic substances (gases, vapours and dusts) eventually present in the surrounding
atmosphere. Filtering respirators are devices subject to limited time duration of protection and provide protection against specific
toxic substances in specific conditions of use explained in the present manual. Pay also special attention to the correct storage
conditions of the device.
Comply with Laws, Norms and regulations in force in the specific country of use of the respirator concerning respiratory protective
devices.
2. Field of application
escABEK is a self rescue respirator assuring a high level of protection of the respiratory tract against various gases of the A, B, E
and K class, and against aerosol and vapours according to P2 class.
The escABEK P3 version is a self rescue respirator assuring protection of the respiratory tract also against gasses in class 1 for B, E
and K type, and against aerosol and vapours according to P3 class.
The range of temperatures of use is from -10°C to +50°C.

escABEK is made up of the following components:
•Mouthpiece equipped with noseclip and PTFE hood completely transparent
•ABEK filter

classified as class 15 minutes, and particle filter as class P2 –ABEK P2 15 version

classified as class 15 minutes. In addition it is tested according to Standard EN 14387:04+A1:08 against B, E and
K gas types in class 1, and particle filter as class P3–ABEK P3 15 version
•synthetic resin sealed container for the device to be carried on the belt. It can also be hung on the wall ready for use in
case of emergency;
•these instructions for use;
•packaging.
The device case is equipped with a metallic hook to belt-carry or hang on the wall escABEK, ready for use, as an alternative to
storing the device in its box.

4. Protection capacity against toxic substances
The escABEK escape respirators, have been certified by APAVE SUDEUROPE SAS (n°0082), CS60193 13322 MARSEILLE
CEDEX 16 –France, in compliance with DIN 58647-7 Norm, and resulted to be 15 minutes class devices, therefore guarantying,

5. Notes/Restrictions
•escABEK in the P2 version, is a single use self rescue respirator. After use and/or after expiry date it must be disposed of
or sent to D.P.I. s.r.l. or to a D.P.I. s.r.l. authorized centre for reconditioning. It cannot be used anymore without
undergoing reconditioning.
•escABEK in the P3 version, could be a single use self rescue respirator, or a personal protective device for breathing
apparatus with filter in B1E1K1 P3 NR class. After possible use or after the expiry date it should be properly disposed off
or sent to D.P.I. s.r.l. or to other authorized center for the reconditioning. It should not used as it is for subsequent uses.
•escABEK can only be used if the oxygen concentration in the atmosphere is at least 17% in volume.
•escABEK should be used without oxygen enriched atmospheres or potentially explosive atmospheres
•escABEK does not protect against carbon monoxide.
•escABEK gives a lower level of protection against low-boiling organic vapours than against high-boiling organic vapours.
•The protection against high concentrations of toxic substances is limited. The protection assured by the devices is
reported in the above tables both for concentration and for time duration. If the risk analysis identifies more dangerous
conditions, the protection offered by escABEK is insufficient. In that case the use of a self-contained breathing apparatus is
needed.
•The actual protection duration as indicated in the above table refers to given concentrations of toxic substances and to a
medium respiratory strain. The risk analysis must also verify if the protection duration is compatible with the time needed by
the user to reach a safe area where breathable air is available.
•Users, who are not trained to use respiratory protective devices or in particular emotional states, may feel a higher
respiratory resistance which is not sign of any malfunction of the device.
•The device must be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from heat and corrosive substance. The storage conditions are
the following: temperature from -10°C to + 50°C, humidity <90%. Conditions other than those specified could affect the expiry
date of the device.
•Under these conditions the shelf life of the device is 12 years, with filter substitution after 6 years.
•The expiry date (XX-YYYY, month and year) is printed on the protective packaging seal.

•The presence of mouthpiece prohibits speaking during use.
•The device has to be fitted according to the instructions for use.

6. Instruction for use
The device is consists of a hood with filter, a mouthpiece in black EPDM and a noseclip contained in a packaging designed for
storage.
The presence of mouthpiece provides a good adaptability to different facial characteristics. The functionality of the device is firmly
connected to the user capability to maintain stable the mouthpiece in the mouth, therefore, the use is not recommended for those
who do not have such skills.
The device is available in a paper box containing this manual of use and maintenance, or with an wall anchoring bracket provided
with a copy of the manual for each device.
To properly use and donning of the device, perform the following operations:
•Check the integrity of the packaging and the presence of the seal, control that the expiry date is not exceeded. If the seal
is tampered or the expiry date exceeded don’t use the device.
•Pull out the respirator from the packaging after removing the adhesive tape on the packaging (figure1).
•Don the mouthpiece and then the noseclip (figure 2), then fit the hood on the head (figure 3) and pull the elastic band
around the neck (figure 4)
•Breath normally and leave the contaminated area immediately.

The escABEK P2 15 was tested according to the Standard DIN 58647-7:1997.

In addition, except for filtering capacity and for flammability of the PTFE hood, escABEK devices meet also requirements of the
Standard EN 403:2005.
The CE marking "CE 0426" on the packaging of the device indicates the notified body carrying out the production control as
provided in annex VIII (module D) of the European Regulation 2016/425 - Italcert - Viale Sarca, 336 - 20126 Milano - Italy (Notified
Body n. 0426).

Diese Informationsbroschüre informiert über den Gebrauch des Fluchtfiltergeräts escABEK, das die Atemwege vor giftigen
Substanzen (Gase, Dämpfe und Stäube), die sich möglicherweise in der Umgebungsatmosphäre befinden, schützt. Filtergeräte
schützen den Anwender eine begrenzte Zeit, unter bestimmten Nutzungsbedingungen, die in dieser Broschüre erklärt werden,
gegen spezielle giftige Substanzen. Achten sie auch insbesondere auf die korrekten Lagerbedingungen des Gerätes.
Beachten Sie die geltenden Gesetze, Normen und Bestimmungen, die im jeweiligen Land für Atemschutzgeräte gelten.
2. Einsatzvoraussetzungen
Das escABEK ist ein Atemschutzgerät zur Selbstrettung, das die Atemorganen, vor unterschiedlichen Gasen, der Klassen A, B, E und
K schützt, sowie vor Aerosolen und Dämpfen gemäß der Klasse P2.
Bei der escABEK P3 Version handelt es sich um ein Atemschutzgerät zur Selbstrettung, das die Atemwege vor Gasen vom Typ B, E
und K, der Klasse 1, schützt sowie vor Aerosole und Dämpfe gemäß der Klasse P3.
Der Einsatztemperaturbereich liegt zwischen -10°C bis +50°C.

3. Bestehend aus folgenden Teilen
Das escABEK setzt sich aus folgenden Teilen zusammen:
•Mundstück, ausgestattet mit einem Nasenclip und komplett transparenter PTFE Haube
•ABEK Filter
1. Die ABEK P2 15 Version ist getestet für die Typen A, B, E und K gemäß dem Standard DIN 58647-7:1997
für Fluchtfiltergeräte. Die Einsatzdauer beträgt 15 Minuten. Der Partikelfilter entspricht der Klasse 2.
2. Die ABEK P3 15 Version ist getestet für die Typen A, B, E und K gemäß dem Standard DIN 58647-7:1997
für Fluchtfiltergeräte. Die Einsatzdauer beträgt 15 Minuten. Zusätzlich ist das Gerät gemäß dem Standard
EN 14387:04+A1:08 gegen die Typen B, E und K, der Klasse 1 getestet, sowie als Partikelfilter der Klasse
P3
•Versiegelter Trage- und Aufbewahrungsbox aus Kunststoff, um das Gerät mit dem Gürtelclip am Gürtel tragen zu können.
Es kann auch an der Wand befestigt werden, so dass es im Notfall jederzeit verfügbar ist

Das Kunststoffgehäuse hat einen Metallclip, um das Gerät am Gürtel tragen zu können, oder um es an die Wand zu montieren, so
ist es stets griffbereit und eine Alternative dazu, das Gerät in der Umverpackung zu lagern.
4. Mindesthaltezeiten von Schadstoffen:
Die escABEK Fluchtfiltergeräte wurden durch APAVE SUDEUROPE SAS (n° 0082), CS60193 13322 MARSEILLE CEDEX 16 - France
nach DIN 58647-7 zertifiziert und bieten mindestens eine 15-minütiger Schutzdauer, gegen die in der Tabelle aufgeführten

5. Anmerkung:
•escABEK in der P2 Version ist ein Fluchtfiltergerät zur Einmalbenutzung. Nach dem Gebrauch oder nach Ablauf
des Haltbarkeitsdatums, muss es ordnungsgemäß entsorgt werden, oder an D.P.I. s.r.l. bzw. an einen von D.P.I. s.r.l
autorisierten Partner zurückgeschickt werden. Ohne Aufbereitung kann das Gerät nicht mehr eingesetzt werden.
•escABEK in der P3 Version, kann sowohl ein Fluchtfiltergerät zur Einmalbenutzung sein, als auch ein
Atemschutzgerät mit B1E1K1 P3 NR Filter. Nach dem Gebrauch oder nach Ablauf des Haltbarkeitsdatums, sollte es
ordnungsgemäß entsorgt werden, oder an D.P.I. s.r.l. bzw. an ein von D.P.I. s.r.l autorisierten Partner
zurückgeschickt werden. Nach erfolgter Anwendung sollte das Gerät nicht mehr eingesetzt werden.
•Das Fluchtfiltergerät escABEK, mit Haube, darf nur eingesetzt werden, wenn der Sauerstoffgehalt in der
Umgebung mindestens 17 Vol. % beträgt.
•escABEK sollte nicht in einer mit Sauerstoff angereicherten und explosionsgefährdeten Umgebung angewendet
werden.
•escABEK schütz nicht vor Kohlenmonoxid
•escABEK hat einen geringeren Schutzumfang gegen niedrigsiedende organische Gase als gegen hochsiedende
organische Gase
•Der Schutz gegen hochgiftige Stoffe ist limitiert. Die entsprechende Konzentration und die Mindesthaltezeiten von
Schadstoffen finden sie in den obenstehenden Tabellen. Je nach Gefährdungsbeurteilung kann der Schutz des
escABEK unzureichend sein. In diesem Fall sind Isoliergeräte einzusetzen.
•Die in der Tabelle angegebenen Mindesthaltezeiten sind Richtwerte. Je nach individuellen Voraussetzungen und
tatsächlichen Gegebenheiten, sind die jeweiligen Einsatzbedingungen in der Gefährdungsbeurteilung festzusetzen.

•Anwender, die den Umgang mit Atemschutzgeräten nicht gewohnt sind oder unter psychischer Anspannung stehen,
können, auch bei normaler Funktion des Geräts, eine gewisse Atemerschwernis empfinden.
•Das Gerät ist während seiner Lagerung vor extremer Hitze, Kälte oder Feuchtigkeit, sowie vor Strahlung und
korrodierenden Chemikalien zu schützen. Es ist zwischen -10°C bis + 50°C bei einer relativen Luftfeuchtigkeit <90% zu
lagern. Abweichende Lagerbedingungen können die Haltbarkeit beeinflussen.
•Bei beschriebenen Lagerbedingungen beträgt die Haltbarkeitsdauer 12 Jahre, mit einem Austausch des Filters nach 6
Jahren
•Das Ende der Lagerzeit (MM/YYYY = Monat und Jahr) ist auf dem Siegel des Trage- und Aufbewahrungsbehälters
angegeben
•Das Datum des Austauschs des Filters (MM/YY = Monat und Jahr) ist dort ebenfalls vermerkt
•Sprechen während der Benutzung ist aus Gründen der Dichtheit untersagt.
•Benutzen Sie das Fluchtfiltergerät mit Haube escABEK ausschließlich gemäß dieser Informationsbroschüre.
6. Gebrauchshinweise:
Das Gerät besteht aus einer Haube mit Filter, einem schwarzen Mundstück, aus EPDM und einer Nasenklammer, verpackt in einer
Aufbewahrungsbox.
Dank des Mundstücks lässt sich das Gerät von Personen mit verschiedenen Gesichtsformen gut anwenden. Mit dem festen
Zubeißen auf das Mundstück des Fluchtfiltergeräts mit Haube escABEK, wird die Funktion des Gerätes gewährleistet. Nutzer die
dazu nicht in der Lage sind, wird das Einsetzen des Gerätes nicht empfohlen.
Das Gerät ist entweder verfügbar in einer Pappschachtel, die ebenfalls diese Informationen zum Gebrauch und zur Wartung
beinhaltet oder mit einer Wandhalterung und einer Kopie der Informationsbroschüre, für jedes Gerät.
Die korrekte Anwendung sowie das richtige Anlegen des Gerätes, kann folgenden Bildern entnommen werden:
•Überprüfen sie die Unversehrtheit der Aufbewahrungsbox und des Siegels, sowie die angegebene Haltbarkeit des
Gerätes. Sollte das Siegel beschädigt sein, oder die Haltbarkeit abgelaufen sein, benutzen sie das Gerät nicht.
•entfernen Sie das Klebeband, öffnen Sie das Kunststoffgehäuse und entnehmen sie das Gerät (Bild 1)
•Beißen sie auf das Mundstück und legen sie die Nasenklammer an (Bild 2). Stülpen sie die Haube über den Kopf (Bild 3)
und fixieren sie diese, mit der elastischen Bänderungen am Hals- Nackenbereich (Bild 4)
•Atmen sie normal weiter und verlassen sie unverzüglich den Gefahrenbereich

7. Zulassung
Das escABEK P2 15 ist nach der Norm DIN 58647-7: 1997 geprüft.
Das escABEK P3 15 ist nach den Normen DIN 58647-7: 1997 sowie EN 14387:04+A1:08 geprüft
Darüber hinaus erfüllen die escABEK Geräte, bis auf die Filterkapazität und die Entflammbarkeit der PTFE Haube, auch die
Anforderungen des Standards EN 403:2005.
Das CE-Zeichen „CE 0426” kennzeichnet die Prüfstelle, die die Herstellung und Qualitätssicherung gemäß ANNEX VIII (Modul D)
der Verordnung (EU) 2016/425 überwacht (Italcert - Viale Sarca, 336 - 20126 Milano - Italien (Prüfstellen Nr. 0426)).
