régulièrement que les entrées et sorties d’air

ou tapis à poils long, ou à moins de 75 cm
de toute autre surface en surplomb. Tenez le
chauffage loin des matériaux combustibles
comme les tentures et autres mobiliers, et
laisser libres le devant, les côtés et l’arrière
de l’appareil. Ne pas utiliser le chauffage pour
sécher votre linge.
• Ce manuel d’instruction fait partie intégrante

• Ne pas utiliser l’appareil s’il est tombé.
• Ne pas utiliser l’appareil si des signes de
dommages sont visibles.
• Utilisez cet appareil sur une surface horizontale
et stable.
• ATTENTION : Ne pas utiliser ce chauffage dans
les petites pièces quand elles sont occupées
par des personnes qui ne sont pas capables
de quitter la pièce d’elles-mêmes, à moins que
ces dernières soient constamment surveillées.
• ATTENTION : Pour réduire le risque d’incendie,
tenez les textiles, rideaux et autres matériaux
inflammables à une distance minimum d’un
mètre de la sortie d’air.
• N’obstruez PAS la circulation de l’air autour
du radiateur, notamment avec des rideaux ou
des meubles, car cela pourrait entraîner une
surchauffe et un risque d’incendie. Voir la
section « Emplacement de l’appareil ».
• Ce radiateur est conforme à des normes de
sécurité strictes mais, pour en garantir le
bon fonctionnement, étant donné que LES
SURFACES DU RADIATEUR CHAUFFENT, IL
FAUT ÉVITER TOUT CONTACT AVEC CES
ZONES, en particulier entre les ailettes.
• La zone du panneau de commande est conçue
pour être plus fraîche afin de permettre un
fonctionnement sécurisé des commandes en
permanence.
• IMPORTANT : il convient d’utiliser les pieds
fournis avec l’appareil.
• AVERTISSEMENT: l’entretien et les réparations
du produit doivent être effectués uniquement
par les techniciens agréés par le fabricant. Les
réparationsdoiventêtreeffectuéesuniquement
par le fabricant ou son technicien agréé.
• ASSUREZ-VOUS que personne ne puisse
trébucher sur le câble d’alimentation.
• Si le radiateur est renversé, débranchez-le et
laissez-le refroidir avant de le remettre à la
verticale.
• Il convient de dérouler le câble d’alimentation
avant utilisation.

MONTAGE ET MISE EN PLACE
INSTALLATION DES ROULETTES
AVERTISSEMENT : le radiateur ne doit être utilisé qu’avec les roues et les roulettes montées et en position verticale.
Les roulettes doivent être montées sur la partie inférieure du panneau de commande et sur la partie inférieure de la plaque
d’extrémité libre de l’extrémité opposée, voir Fig. 1.
Pour monter les roulettes, retournez le radiateur sur un tapis ou une autre surface souple pour éviter de l’endommager.
AVERTISSEMENT : LE RADIATEUR EST LOURD – ASSUREZ-VOUS QU’IL EST SOUTENU POUR ÉVITER QU’IL NE BASCULE.
Demandez à une deuxième personne de vous aider si nécessaire.
Pour monter les roulettes, placez les jeux de roulettes (A) en position et fixez-les à l’aide des boulons à oreilles (B). Des
guides sont là pour s’assurer que le jeu de roulettes est correctement positionné et l’orienté.
Remettez le radiateur à l’endroit de sorte qu’il repose sur les roulettes. Le produit est maintenant prêt à être utilisé.
EMPLACEMENT DU RADIATEUR
AVERTISSEMENT : Veillez toujours à ce que les instructions figurant dans la section CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ
IMPORTANTES soient scrupuleusement respectées.
Veillez toujours à ce que le radiateur soit placé sur une surface plane et rigide, près d’une prise de courant appropriée,
mais pas directement en dessous.
Choisissez l’emplacement de l’appareil en veillant à ce qu’il y ait un espace libre d’au moins 300 mm au-dessus du radiateur,
de 150 mm de chaque côté et de 300 mm par rapport au panneau de commande et au panneau d’extrémité.
Nous vous recommandons de laisser autant d’espace que possible autour du radiateur.

MODE D’EMPLOI
IMPORTANT - AUCUN OBJET OU VÊTEMENT NE DOIT ÊTRE POSÉ SUR CE RADIATEUR.
Avant d’utiliser l’appareil, veillez à lire attentivement tous les avertissements et toutes les consignes.
Pour mettre le radiateur en marche, il vous suffit de le brancher. Les voyants lumineux situés sur le panneau de commande
s’allument lorsque l’appareil est branché sur le secteur. Cela indique que l’appareil est sous tension et prêt à être utilisé.
Remarque – Le radiateur a été recouvert d’un film protecteur qui brûlera au cours des premières minutes d’utilisation, ce
qui peut provoquer une légère émission de fumées. Ceci est tout à fait normal ; les fumées ne sont pas toxiques et se
dissipent rapidement.
Nous vous recommandons d’ouvrir une fenêtre pour aérer la pièce lorsque vous utilisez l’appareil pour la première fois.
COMMANDES
Thermostat
Le thermostat (T), voir Fig. 2, contrôle la production de chaleur en fonction de la température de la pièce. Cela permet de
s’assurer que l’appareil ne génère pas de chaleur inutilement lorsque la pièce est déjà chaude. Pour régler la température
souhaitée, tournez le bouton du thermostat dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à ce que vous obteniez jusqu’à
ce que vous obteniez le réglage de votre choix. Par contre, si vous voulez chauffer rapidement une pièce froide, tournez le
bouton du thermostat au maximum. Lorsque la pièce a atteint la température souhaitée, tournez le bouton du thermostat
dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à ce que le thermostat s’éteigne. Le radiateur maintiendra alors
automatiquement cette température. Le thermostat dispose également du réglage de protection contre le gel, indiqué par
l’icone « ». Ce réglage est utile dans des pièces telles que les garages, pour prévenir les dommages causés par le gel.
Si le thermostat est réglé sur son niveau minimum « », le radiateur s’allume et s’éteint en alternance pour maintenir une
température d’environ 5°C afin de protéger la pièce contre le gel.

Remarque – Si le radiateur ne se met pas en marche alors que le thermostat est réglé à un niveau faible, cela peut être dû
au fait que la température de la pièce est supérieure à celle qui est réglée sur le thermostat.
Interrupteur de sélection de la chaleur (S) (voir Fig. 2)
La sélection de la chaleur se fait par un commutateur rotatif qui comporte quatre réglages. La puissance calorifique peut
être modifiée pour s’adapter à la situation, aux conditions et pour optimiser l’économie de fonctionnement.
Les réglages disponibles sont les suivants :

MODÈLES DE MINUTERIE
MINUTERIE ÉLECTROMÉCANIQUE (Ti) (voir Fig. 2)
Réglage de l’heure
Pour régler l’heure, tournez la molette de la minuterie dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre (indiqué par la flèche) jusqu’à
ce que la bonne heure soit en face du repère - voir Fig. 4. Il s’agit d’un cadran 24 heures ; par exemple, l’heure indiquée pour
4 heures de l’après-midi est « 16 » (16 heures).
Modes de fonctionnement
Réglez le mode de fonctionnement à l’aide de l’interrupteur à glissière situé sur le minuteur - voir Fig. 5 :
Position I - Fonctionnement manuel
Ce réglage permet à l’appareil de fonctionner sans être interrompu par les réglages de la minuterie. L’interrupteur de
sélection de la chaleur et le thermostat régulent la puissance du chauffage (voir le paragraphe « Commandes »).
Position – Fonctionnement « automatique »
Ce réglage permet au radiateur de s’allumer et de s’éteindre sur la base d’une programmation de 24 heures.
Ne débranchez PAS le radiateur de l’alimentation secteur, sauf s’il est inutilisé (par exemple en été ou pour le ranger), car
sinon la minuterie s’arrête.
Réglage des horaires de mise en marche et d’arrêt « Auto »
Pour régler la minuterie :
1. Du bout du doigt ou avec la pointe d’un crayon, enfoncez autant de segments que nécessaire sur le cadran, en fonction
des heures où vous n’avez pas besoin de chauffage - voir Fig. 5. Chaque segment enfoncé éteint le chauffage pendant
cette plage horaire. Tous les autres segments seront allumés. Par exemple, sur la Fig. 5, le minuteur est réglé pour
éteindre le radiateur entre 23 heures et 1 h 45 du matin.
2. Vous pouvez programmer le chauffage sur autant de plages horaires que vous le souhaitez, au cours d’une journée de
24 heures. Les réglages se répéteront chaque jour jusqu’à ce qu’ils soient modifiés.
3. Pour modifier les plages horaires de mise en marche et d’arrêt du chauffage, il vous suffit d’enfoncer les segments de
mise en marche que vous souhaitez annuler et de tirer vers l’extérieur de nouveaux segments de mise en marche selon
vos besoins.
Remarque : chaque segment correspond à une période de 15 minutes.
DISPOSITIFS DE SÉCURITÉ
Cet appareil comporte un certain nombre de dispositifs de sécurité. En plus de la section « Consignes de sécurité
importantes », nous attirons votre attention sur les points suivants :
Interrupteur anti-basculement
L’interrupteur anti-basculement empêche le radiateur de fonctionner si ce dernier est accidentellement renversé sur le
côté. Si le radiateur est renversé alors qu’il est chaud, débranchez-le et laissez-le refroidir, puis remettez-le en position
verticale. Rebranchez l’appareil. Il devrait retrouver son fonctionnement normal.

Protection contre la surchauffe
L’appareil est équipé d’un limiteur de température qui réduit la puissance du radiateur en cas de surchauffe, quelle qu’en
soit la cause. L’appareil retrouvera son fonctionnement normal une fois que la cause de la surchauffe aura été identifiée
et résolue.
NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN
• Toujours débrancher l’appareil du secteur et le laisser refroidir complètement avant de le nettoyer.
• Ne pas utiliser d’éponge abrasive, de tampon à récurer ou de brosse dure pour nettoyer l’appareil.
• Utiliser uniquement un chiffon humide pour nettoyer les surfaces extérieures de l’appareil. Ne pas immerger le corps
principal dans l’eau.
• Ne mettez aucuns composants électriques en contact avec de l’eau.
• Toujours entreposer l’appareil dans un environnement à faible taux d’humidité.
CET APPAREIL EST CONÇU UNIQUEMENT POUR UN USAGE DOMESTIQUE
RECYCLAGE
Ce matériel comporte l’indication poubelle barrée qui indique que le produit ne doit pas être jeté dans les
ordures ménagères. Il doit être soit remis dans un point collecte approprié aux appareils électrique ou en le
retournant chez le distributeur où l’appareil a été acheté. L’utilisateur est responsable de déposer l’appareil
dans un lieu de dépôt adapté à la fin de vie de l’appareil. Si l’appareil hors service est collecté correctement, il
pourra être recyclé et traité écologiquement.
Les piles doivent être disposées ou recyclés conformément à la directive européenne 2012/19/EU concernant les déchets
d’équipements électriques et électroniques (DEEE). Les emballages doivent être recyclés, si possible dans un site adapté.

Si vous avez besoin du service après-vente, veuillez contacter le fournisseur de l’appareil ou appeler le numéro du service
dans votre pays indiqué sur la carte de la garantie. Veuillez ne pas nous renvoyer un produit défectueux en premier lieu, car
cela pourrait entraîner des pertes ou des dommages et un retard dans la fourniture d’un service satisfaisant.
Dans l’intérêt d’un développement ultérieur, l’appareil peut faire l’objet de modifications de construction ou de conception
sans préavis. Veuillez conserver votre reçu comme prévue d’achat.
GARANTIE
Cet appareil EWT®est assorti d’une garantie de (2) ans à compter de la date d’achat sous les conditions d’utilisation
normales. La garantie ne s’applique pas aux dommages dus directement ou indirectement à une utilisation abusive, à
la négligence, à une utilisation non conforme, aux accidents, réparations non conformes ou modifications ainsi qu’à un
défaut d’entretien. Veuillez conserver votre bon de caisse/ facture comme preuve de votre achat.
Les accessoires de cet appareil sont des consommables et leur garantie est limitée à un (1) mois.
EXCLUSIONS DE GARANTIE
• Modifications, démontages ou intégration à une autre machine ou à un montage la rendant fixe ou semi-fixe,
• Usure normale des pièces,
• Détérioration suite à une mauvaise utilisation,
• Non-respect de la notice d’emploi ou des consignes d’entretien et de sécurité,
• Dommages résultant d’un entretien défectueux, de défaut d’entretien,

MONTAGE DER LAUFROLLEN
ACHTUNG: Das Heizgerät darf nur mit montierten Füßen und Laufrollen und in aufrechter Position betrieben werden.
Die Rollen müssen unterhalb des Bedienfelds und ebenfalls unterhalb des freien Endfeldes am gegenüberliegenden Ende
angebracht werden (siehe Abb. 1).
Stellen Sie den Heizkörper zur Montage der Rollen um Beschädigungen zu vermeiden mit der Unterseite nach oben auf
einen Teppich oder eine andere weiche Unterlage.
VORSICHT: DAS HEIZGERÄT IST SCHWER - UM EIN UMKIPPEN ZU VERMEIDEN MUSS FÜR EINEN SICHEREN STAND
GESORGT WERDEN. Bitten Sie ggf. eine zweite Person um Hilfe.
Zur Montage der Laufrollen setzen Sie die Laufrollenplatten (A) in die dafür vorgesehenen Aussparungen und befestigen Sie
sie mitdenFlügelschrauben (B).DieFührungensorgenfürdie richtigePositionierung und AusrichtungderLaufrollenplatten.
Drehen Sie das Heizgerät anschließend wieder um, sodass es auf den Laufrollen zu stehen kommt. Das Gerät ist nun
einsatzbereit.
POSITIONIEREN DES HEIZGERÄTS
ACHTUNG: Die im Abschnitt WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE aufgeführten Informationen müssen strikt eingehalten
werden.
Das Heizgerät muss grundsätzlich auf einem festen, ebenen Untergrund in der Nähe einer geeigneten Netzsteckdose,
jedoch nicht direkt unter, aufgestellt werden.
Stellen Sie das Heizgerät in einem Abstand zu anderen Objekten von mindestens 30 cm über dem Heizgerät, 15 cm an
jeder Seite und 30 cm vom Bedienfeld und der Endplatte auf.
Es sollte grundsätzlich ein größtmöglicher Abstand zu anderen Objekten eingehalten werden.

WICHTIG - ES DÜRFEN KEINE GEGENSTÄNDE ODER KLEIDUNG AUF DAS HEIZGERÄT GELEGT WERDEN
Vor Verwendung des Heizgeräts müssen alle Warnhinweise und Anleitungen sorgfältig gelesen worden sein.
Zur Inbetriebnahme des Heizgeräts muss dieses einfach nur an das Stromnetz angeschlossen werden. Sobald das Gerät
an das Stromnetz angeschlossen ist, leuchten die Neonleuchten im Bereich der Bedienelemente auf. Dies zeigt an, dass
das Gerät unter Spannung steht und betriebsbereit ist.
Bitte beachten Sie - Das Gerät wurde mit einem Schutzfilm beschichtet, der in den ersten Minuten der Verwendung
verdampft. Dies kann eine kleine Menge Rauch verursachen, was jedoch ganz normal ist. Die Dämpfe sind ungiftig und
verflüchtigen sich schnell.
Trotz allem empfiehlt es sich, während der ersten Inbetriebnahme des Heizgerätes ein Fenster zu öffnen, um den Raum
zu lüften.
BEDIENELEMENTE
Thermostat
Der Thermostat (T) regelt die Heizleistung in Abhängigkeit von der Raumtemperatur (siehe Abb.2). Dadurch wird
sichergestellt, dass das Heizgerät in bereits warmen Räumen nicht unnötig Wärme produziert. Drehen Sie den
Thermostatknopf im Uhrzeigersinn um die gewünschte Temperatur einzustellen, bis die gewünschte Einstellung
erreicht ist. Um einen kalten Raum schnell aufzuheizen, drehen Sie den Thermostatknopf ganz auf. Sobald der Raum
die gewünschte Temperatur erreicht hat, drehen Sie den Thermostatknopf gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, bis der Thermostat
hörbar ausrastet. Das Heizgerät arbeitet nun automatisch mit dieser Temperatur weiter. Ebenfalls verfügt der Thermostat
hat auch eine Frostschutzeinstellung, die mit ‘ ‘ gekennzeichnet ist. Diese Einstellung ist in Bereichen wie Garagen

nützlich, um Frostschäden zu vermeiden. Wenn der Thermostat auf seine Minimaleinstellung ‘ ‘ eingestellt ist, schaltet
sich das Heizgerät zyklisch ein und aus, um eine Temperatur von ca. +5 °C aufrechtzuerhalten und so zum Schutz vor Frost
beizutragen.
Hinweis - Sollte sich das Heizgerät nicht einschalten, wenn der Thermostat auf eine niedrige Einstellung eingestellt ist,
kann dies daran liegen, dass die Raumtemperatur höher ist als die Thermostateinstellung.
Heizleistungs-Wahlschalter (S) (siehe Abb.2)
Die Einstellung der Heizleistung erfolgt über einen Drehschalter, der vier Einstellungen bietet. Die Heizleistung kann je nach
Anwendung, Umgebungsbedingungen und zur Verbesserung der Wirtschaftlichkeit des Betriebs des Geräts angepasst
werden.

Einstellen des Timers
Zum Einstellen der Uhrzeit, zu der das Heizgerät anspringen soll, drehen Sie das Timer-Einstellrad im Uhrzeigersinn (durch
den Pfeil gekennzeichnet), bis die gewünschte Uhrzeit gegenüber der Referenzmarke steht (siehe Abb. 4). Das Gerät
verwendet das 24-Stunden-System. Für 4 Uhr nachmittags gilt die Einstellung ‘16’ für 16 Uhr.
Betriebsarten
Die Betriebsart wird über den Schiebeschalter an der Zeitschaltuhr eingestellt (siehe Abb. 5):
Position I – manueller Betrieb
Mit dieser Einstellung wird das Heizgerät ohne Unterbrechung durch Timer-Einstellungen mit Strom versorgt. Die
Leistung wird über den Heizleistungs-Wahlschalter und den Thermostat gesteuert (siehe ‘Bedienelemente’).
Position - Automatik-Betrieb
Über diese Einstellung wird das Heizgerät nach einem programmierbaren 24-Stunden-Zeitraum ein- und ausgeschaltet.
Trennen Sie das Heizgerät NICHT vom Stromnetz, es sei denn, es wird außer Betrieb genommen (z.B. im Sommer oder
zur Einlagerung), da sonst die Zeitschaltuhr angehalten wird.
Einstellen der Ein- und -Ausschaltzeiten im Automatik-Betrieb
Einstellen des Timers:
1. Drücken Sie entsprechend den Zeiten, in denen Sie keine Wärme benötigen, mit der Fingerspitze oder der Spitze eines
Stiftes so viele Segmente wie nötig um das Zifferblatt herum ein (siehe Abb. 5). Jedes eingedrückte Segment schaltet
das Heizgerät während des entsprechenden Zeitraums aus. Lassen Sie alle anderen Segmente auf EIN. Abb. 5 zeigt
als Beispiel die Einstellung der Zeitschaltuhr für ein Ausschalten des Heizgeräts zwischen 23 Uhr und 1.45 Uhr.
2. Sie können beliebig viele EIN-Perioden innerhalb des 24-Stunden-Tages auswählen. Das Ein- und Ausschalten des
Heizgerätes wird jeden Tag wiederholt, bis die Einstellungen geändert werden.
3. Zum Ändern der Ein- und Ausschaltzeiten drücken Sie einfach alle «EIN»-Segmente ein, die Sie löschen möchten, und
ziehen Sie bei Bedarf andere entsprechende «EIN»-Segmente heraus.
Hinweis: Jedes Segment steht für einen Zeitraum von 15 Minuten.

Dieses Gerät verfügt über eine Reihe von Sicherheitsvorrichtungen. Beachten Sie bitte zusätzlich zum Abschnitt «Wichtige
Sicherheitshinweise» folgendes:
Sicherheits-Umkippschalter
Der Sicherheits-Umkippschalter verhindert, dass das Heizgerät, wenn es versehentlich umgefallen ist, weiterläuft. Wenn
das Heizgerät umkippt, solange es heiß ist, unterbrechen Sie die Stromzufuhr und lassen Sie es abkühlen, bevor Sie es
wieder aufrecht hinstellen. Schließen Sie das Gerät erst dann wieder an die Stromversorgung an. Der normale Betrieb
sollte wieder aufgenommen werden.
Sicherheits-Überhitzungsschutz
Das Heizgerät ist mit einem Temperaturbegrenzer ausgestattet, der die Heizleistung reduziert, sobald das Gerät aus
irgendeinem Grunde überhitzt. Das Gerät kehrt nimmt seinen normalen Betrieb wieder auf, sobald die Ursache der
Überhitzung behoben wurde.
REINIGUNG UND WARTUNG
• Trennen Sie das Gerät vor Reinigungsarbeiten grundsätzlich vom Stromnetz und lassen Sie es vollständig abkühlen.
• Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen des Geräts keine Scheuermittel, Scheuerschwämme oder harte Bürsten..
• Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung der Außenflächen des Geräts nur ein feuchtes Tuch. Tauchen Sie das Hauptgehäuse nicht
in Wasser ein..
• Die elektrischen Komponenten des Geräts dürfen keinen falls mit Wasser in Kontakt gebracht werden.
• Das Gerät sollte grundsätzlich in räumen mit möglichst niedriger Luftfeuchtigkeit gelagert werden.

ASSEMBLY AND POSITIONING
FITTING THE CASTORS
WARNING: The radiator must only be operated with the wheels and castors fitted and in the upright position. The castors
must be fitted to the underside of the control panel and to the underside of the free end panel on the opposite end, as
shown in Fig. 1.
To fit the castors, turn the radiator upside down on a carpet or other soft surface to avoid damage.
WARNING : THE RADIATOR IS HEAVY – ENSURE THAT IT IS SUPPORTED TO PREVENT IT FROM TOPPLING. Ask a second
person to help with this if necessary.
To fit the castors, position the castor plates (A) in position and secure using the wing bolts (B). There are guides to ensure
the correct positioning and orientation of the castor plate. Return the radiator to the correct orientation so it rests on the
castors. The product is now ready for use.
POSITIONING THE HEATER
WARNING: Always ensure the information outlined in IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section is strictly adhered to.
Always ensure that the heater is stood on a firm, level base near to, but not directly underneath a suitable
mains supply socket. Select the position for the heater ensuring there is clearance from any furniture and fittings of at
least 300mm above the heater and 150mm each side and 300mm from the control and end panel.
We recommend maximising the clearance where possible.

OPERATION
IMPORTANT - OBJECTS OR CLOTHING MUST NOT BE PLACED ON THIS HEATER.
Before using the heater ensure that all warnings and instructions have been read carefully. To activate the heater simply
plug it in. Neon indicating lights located at the controls area will illuminate when the appliance is plugged into the mains.
This indicates the appliance is energised and ready for use.
Please note – The element has been coated with a protective film which will burn off during the first few minutes of use,
this may cause a small amount of fuming. This is quite normal – the fumes are non-toxic and will quickly disappear.
We recommend that you open a window to ventilate the room when using the heater for the first time.
CONTROLS
Thermostat
The Thermostat (T), see Fig.2 controls the heat output according to the room temperature. This ensures that the heater
will not produce heat unnecessarily when the room is warm. To set the temperature you require, turn the thermostat knob
clockwise until the required setting is reached. Alternatively to heat a cold room quickly, turn the thermostat knob up
fully. When the room has reached the desired temperature, turn the thermostat knob anticlockwise until the thermostat
just clicks off. The heater will now automatically operate at this temperature. The thermostat also has a frost protection
setting marked ‘ ‘. This setting is useful in areas such as garages, to prevent frost damage. If the thermostat is set to its
minimum setting ‘ ‘, the heater will cycle on and off to maintain a temperature of approximately 5°C to help protect
against frost.
Note – Should the heater fail to come on when the thermostat is at a low setting, this may be due to the room temperature
being higher than the thermostat setting.

Heat Selector Switch (S) (see Fig.2)
Heat selection is provided via a rotary switch offering four settings. The heat output can be altered to suit the application,
conditions and to improve the economy of operation.
Available output options are as follows:

TIMER MODELS
ELECTROMECHANICAL TIMER (Ti) (see Fig.2)
Setting the time of day
To set the time of day, rotate the timer dial clockwise (indicated by the arrow) until the correct time of day is opposite the
reference mark - see Fig. 4. The 24-hour clock is used ; e.g. time shown for 4 pm is ‘16’ (16:00hrs).
Operation Modes
Set the operation mode using the slide switch on the timer - see Fig. 5:
Position I - Manual operation
This setting allows power to the heater uninterrupted by the timer settings. The heat selector switch and thermostat
will control the output (see ‘Controls’).
Position - ‘Auto’ operation
This setting allows the heater to be switched ON and OFF according to a set 24 hour program period.
DO NOT disconnect this heater from the mains supply unless it is being taken out of use (e.g. in summer or for storage),
otherwise the timer clock will stop.
Setting the ‘Auto’ ON and OFF times
To set the timer :
1. Using your finger tip or the tip of a pencil, push in as many segments as necessary around the dial, according to the
times you don’t require heat – see Fig. 5. Each segment pushed in switches the heater OFF for that part of the hour. All
other segments will be ON. For example, Fig. 5 shows the timer set to switch the heater OFF between 11pm and 1.45am
2. You can select as many ON periods as you like, within the 24-hour day. The settings will repeat every day until changed.
3. To change ON and OFF times, simply push in any ‘ON’ segments you wish to cancel and pull out new ‘ON’ segments as
required.
Note: Each segment represents 15 minute period.
SAFETY FEATURES
This appliance incorporates a number of safety devices. In addition to the ‘Important Safety Advice’ section your attention
is drawn to the following;
Tilt Switch
The tilt switch will prevent the heater from working if it is accidentally tipped over on its side. If the radiator is tipped over
while it is hot, disconnect the power and allow it to cool, then stand the radiator back upright. Reconnect the power -
normal operation should be resumed.
Safety Overheat Protection
The heater is fitted with a temperature limiter which will reduce the output of the heater should it overheat for any reason.
The product will return to normal operation after the cause of the over heating has been rectified.

WARRANTY
This EWT®appliance comes with a two- (2) year warranty which begins on the date of purchase and only applies to use
under normal conditions. The warranty does not apply to damage incurred as a direct or indirect result of inappropriate
use, negligence, improper use, accidents, improper repairs or lack of maintenance. Please keep your receipt/invoice as
proof of purchase.
The accessories which come with this are consumables and the warranty pertaining to them is limited to one (1) month.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Always unplug the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning it.
• Do not use an abrasive sponge, scouring pad or stiff brush to clean the appliance.
• Use only a damp cloth to clean the external surfaces of the appliance. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
• Never allow any electrical components to come into contact with water.
• Always store the appliance in a dry environment.
