1. Information
Diese Gebrauchsanweisung richtet sich an Orthopädietechniker und enthält deshalb keine Hinweise auf
Gefahren, die für sie oensichtlich sind. Um ein Maximum an Sicherheit zu erreichen, weisen Sie bitte den
Patienten und/oder das Versorgungsteam in die Anwendung und Pflege des Produktes ein.
2. Sicherheitshinweise

2.2 Alle Hinweise für die sichere Verwendung des Systemankers

Sturzgefahr durch unsachgemäße Handhabung
Klären Sie den Patienten über die korrekte Verwendung des Systemgelenkes und mögliche Gefahren
(z. B. Bruch des Systemankers) auf, insbesondere im Hinblick auf zu hohe mechanische Belastung
(z. B. durch Sport, einen erhöhten Aktivitätsgrad oder Gewichtszunahme).

Für eine vereinfachte Darstellung werden alle Arbeitsschritte anhand des
NEUROSWING H2OSystemknöchelgelenkes (Abb. 1) gezeigt.
Sie lassen sich auf alle genannten Systemgelenke übertragen.

Wenn sich Patientendaten geändert haben (z. B. durch Gewichtszunahme, Wachstum oder einen erhöhten
Aktivitätsgrad), berechnen Sie die Belastbarkeit des Systemgelenkes neu und wählen Sie entsprechendes
Material. Nutzen Sie dafür den Orthesen-Konfigurator oder kontaktieren Sie den Technischen Support.

Sturzgefahr durch unsachgemäße Bearbeitung
Fehler in der Bearbeitung können zum Bruch des Systemankers führen. Schränken Sie den Systemanker wie
in dieser Gebrauchsanweisung beschrieben. Achten Sie insbesondere darauf:
- den Systemanker zum Schränken nicht zu erwärmen,
- den angegebenen Biegeradius einzuhalten und
- Kerben oder Rückstände durch Feinschlichten zu entfernen.

Fehler in der Verarbeitung können zum Bruch des Systemankers oder anderer Systembauteile führen.
Achten Sie insbesondere darauf:
- den Systemanker korrekt in das Systemgelenk einzupassen,
- den Systemanker entsprechend der Arbeitstechnik in das Systemgelenk einzukleben,
- den Systemanker korrekt mit dem Laminat der Orthese zu verbinden.

Einschränkung der Gelenkfunktion durch unsachgemäße Verarbeitung
Fehler in der Verarbeitung können die Gelenkfunktion beeinträchtigen. Achten Sie insbesondere darauf, die
Gelenkbauteile nur leicht zu fetten.
3. Verwendungszweck
Systemanker sind Verbindungselemente. Der Systemanker für wasserfeste Systemgelenke verbindet das
Systemgelenk mit der Schale einer Gießharzorthese. Der Systemanker muss mit einem wasserfesten System-
gelenk in der passenden Systembreite und der entsprechenden Arbeitstechnik verbaut werden. Der System-
anker und das Systemgelenk sind ausschließlich für die orthetische Versorgung der unteren Extremität
einzusetzen und nur durch Orthopädietechniker zu verbauen.

4. Lieferumfang

Systemanker (Abb. 2 und 3) 1
Für das NEURO SWING H2OSystemknöchelgelenk sind Systemanker für die
Systembreiten 12, 14, 16 und 20mm erhältlich (Abb. 2). Für das
NEUROLOCK H2Ound NEUROCLASSIC H2OSystemkniegelenk sind
Systemanker für die Systembreite 20mm erhältlich. Es gibt sie in gera-
der Form und mit Wadenschwung links/rechts (Abb. 3). Das Klebsto-Set
(Abb.4) zum Einkleben des Systemankers in das Systemgelenk besteht aus
2-Komponenten-Klebsto und Primer. Es liegt dem Systemgelenk bei und
kann separat nachbestellt werden (siehe Abschnitt 7).
5. Belastbarkeit
Die Belastbarkeit ergibt sich aus den relevanten Patientendaten und
kann über den Orthesen-Konfigurator bestimmt werden. Verwenden
Sie zum Bau der Orthese die vom Orthesen-Konfigurator ermittelten
Systembauteile und beachten Sie die empfohlene Arbeitstechnik. In-
formationen zu den Arbeitstechniken finden Sie auf unserer Website
www.fior-gentz.de im Bereich „Online-Tutorials“.
6. Verarbeitung
Der Systemanker für wasserfeste Systemgelenke muss an die individuelle Form
des Beines angepasst werden. Um eine optimale Funktion des Systemankers zu
gewährleisten, beachten Sie bitte nachfolgende Erklärungen zu den Verarbei-
tungsschritten und zur Arbeitstechnik.
6.1 Schränken
-Verwenden Sie zum Schränken des Systemankers keinen Hammer.
-Verwenden Sie zum Schränken des Systemankers unbedingt ein rundes
Schränkeisen, um Kerben zu vermeiden (Abb. 5). Sowohl eckige als auch abge-
schrägte Schränkeisen führen sehr leicht zum Bruch des Systemankers.
-Das Schränken ist eine Kaltumformung. Erwärmen Sie das Material nicht, denn
dadurch können sich die Eigenschaften des Materials dauerhaft verändern.
-Ändern Sie beim Schränken nicht wiederholt die Biegerichtung, denn dadurch
wird Stress auf das Material ausgeübt und es kann brechen.
-Um beim Schränken des Systemankers Brüche zu vermeiden, achten Sie darauf,
die in der Tabelle angegebenen Radien nicht zu unterschreiten (Abb. 6). Der
Biegeradius hängt von der Dicke des Materials ab (siehe Tabelle).

* Rechenbeispiel: Ein Systemanker aus Aluminium ist 5 mm dick. Multipliziert mit 11 ergibt sich ein Biege-
radius von 55mm. Bei diesem Wert handelt es sich um den Mindestradius.
6.2 Oberfläche bearbeiten
Bevor Sie den Systemanker mit dem Systemgelenk verbinden, entfernen Sie Kerben und
andere Rückstände von der Oberfläche. Schlichten Sie die Oberfläche in Walzrichtung
(Abb.7). Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie nicht zu viel Material entfernen.
6.3 Mit Orthesenschale verbinden
Anker-Eingusstechnik
Die Systemanker für wasserfeste Systemgelenke wurden von FIOR & GENTZ für die Her-
stellung einer Gießharzorthese mit der Anker-Eingusstechnik (Abb. 8) entwickelt. Bei dieser
Arbeitstechnik wird der Systemanker in das Laminat eingebettet.
6.4 Einkleben
Der Systemanker für wasserfeste Systemgelenke wird mit dem Systemgelenk verbunden,
indem er in das Systemgelenk eingeklebt wird.
1 Reinigen Sie Systemanker und Systemgelenk.
2 Tragen Sie den Primer mithilfe des Wattestäbchens aus dem
Klebstoff-Set an den Klebeflächen für den Systemanker im
Systemgelenk sowie am Systemanker auf (Abb.9–10).
3 Lassen Sie den Primer vollständig ablüften.
4 Spritzen Sie mithilfe der Doppelkammerspritze aus
dem Klebstoff-Set eine ausreichende Menge des
2-Komponenten-Klebstoffes in das Systemgelenk (Abb.11).
5 Stecken Sie umgehend den Systemanker so weit wie möglich in das System-
gelenk (Abb.12).
6 Lassen Sie den Klebstoff 24 Stunden aushärten, bis die Endfestigkeit erreicht
ist.
7 Entfernen Sie den abziehbaren Aufkleber sowie ggf. vorhandene Kleberück-
stände vom Systemgelenk.
Tragen Sie beim Schränken des Systemankers Arbeitskleidung mit langen Ärmeln, Arbeitshandschuhe
und eine Schutzbrille, um Verletzungen bei einem eventuellen Bruch des Systemankers zu vermeiden.

Beachten Sie, dass die Orthese nach dem Verbinden von Systemanker
und Systemgelenk nicht mehr getempert werden sollte. Bei zu hohen
Temperaturen verändern sich die Eigenschaften der Klebeverbindung.

7. Zubehörteile
Die Menge des 2-Komponenten-Klebstoes und Primers aus dem Klebsto-Set reicht aus, um einen Systeman-
ker in ein Systemgelenk einzukleben. Bei Bedarf können Sie das Klebsto-Set nachbestellen.

8. Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie den Systemanker für wasserfeste Systemgelenke sachgerecht. Das Produkt
darf nicht über den Hausmüll entsorgt werden (Abb. 13). Beachten Sie für die ordnungsge-
mäße Rückführung der Wertstoe die gültigen nationalen gesetzlichen Bestimmungen und
örtlichen Vorschriften.
9. CE-Konformität
Wir erklären, dass unsere Medizinprodukte sowie unser Zubehör für Medizinprodukte allen Anforderungen
der Verordnung (EU) 2017/745 entsprechen. Die Produkte werden von FIOR & GENTZ mit dem CE-Kennzeichen
versehen.
10. Rechtliche Hinweise
Bei Kauf dieses Produktes gelten unsere Allgemeinen Geschäfts-, Verkaufs-, Lieferungs- und Zahlungsbedin-
gungen. Die Gewährleistung erlischt u. a., wenn dieses Produkt mehrfach verbaut wurde. Wir weisen darauf
hin, dass das Produkt nicht mit anderen Bauteilen oder Materialien kombiniert werden soll, als es durch das
Konfigurationsergebnis des FIOR&GENTZ Orthesen-Konfigurators vorgegeben wird. Sollte das Produkt mit
Produkten anderer Hersteller kombiniert werden, bedarf es einer schriftlichen Genehmigung des Verkäufers.
Die Angaben in dieser Gebrauchsanweisung beziehen sich auf den aktuellen Stand bei Drucklegung. Produkt-
angaben sind Richtwerte. Technische Änderungen vorbehalten.

1. Information
These instructions for use are addressed to orthotists or qualified/trained experts and do not contain any notes
about dangers which are obvious to them. To achieve maximum safety, please instruct the patient and/or care
team in the use and maintenance of the product.
2. Safety Instructions

All serious incidents according to Regulation (EU) 2017/745 which are related to the product have to be
reported to the manufacturer and to the competent authority of the Member State in which the orthotist or
qualified/trained expert and/or the patient is established.
2.2 All Instructions for a Safe Handling of the System Anchor
WARNING
Risk of Falling Due to Improper Handling
Inform the patient about the correct use of the system joint and possible dangers (e.g. breakage of the
system anchor), especially with regards to excessive mechanical stress (e.g. due to sports, increased activity
or weight gain).

NEUROSWING H2Osystem ankle joint (fig. 1) as example.
They can be transferred to all mentioned system joints.

If patient data has changed (e.g. due to weight gain, growth or increased activity), recalculate the load
capacity of the system joint and choose the appropriate material. For this purpose, use the Orthosis
Configurator or contact Technical Support.

Errors in processing can lead to a breakage of the system anchor. Bend the system anchor as described in
these instructions for use. Pay particular attention to:
- not to heat the system anchor for bending;
- that the specified bending radius is respected and
- to remove notches or residues by fine smoothing and finishing.

Errors in processing can lead to a breakage of the system anchor or other system components. Pay particu-
lar attention to:
- fit the system anchor correctly into the system joint;
- adhere the system anchor into the system joint according to the production technique;
- correctly connect the system anchor with the laminate of the orthosis.
NOTICE
Limitation of the Joint Function Due to Improper Processing
Errors in processing can impair the joint function. Pay particular attention to grease the joint components
only slightly.
3. Application
System anchors are connecting elements. The system anchor for waterproof system joints connects the
system joint to the shell of a laminated orthosis. The system anchor must be attached to a waterproof system
joint in the corresponding system width and with the corresponding production technique. The system anchor
and the system joint are exclusively for use for orthotic fittings of the lower extremity. They must be handled
by an orthotist or qualified/trained expert.

4. Scope of Delivery

For the NEURO SWING H2Osystem ankle joint, system anchors are
available for the system widths 12, 14, 16 and 20mm (fig.2). For the
NEUROLOCKH2Oand NEUROCLASSIC H2Osystem knee joint, system
anchors are available for the system width 20mm. They are oered in the
shapes straight and calf curved left/right (fig. 3). The adhesive set (fig. 4) for
adhering the system anchor into the system joint consists of a 2-component
adhesive and a primer. It is included in the scope of delivery of the system
joint and can be reordered separately (see paragraph 7).
5. Load Capacity
The load capacity results from the relevant patient data and can be
determined by using the Orthosis Configurator. Use the system com-
ponents determined by the Orthosis Configurator when producing an
orthosis and mind the recommended production technique. You will
find information on the production techniques in the section “Online
Tutorials” on our website www.fior-gentz.com.
6. Processing
The system anchor for waterproof system joints has to be customised to the
patient’s leg. To ensure an optimal functioning of the system anchor, please note
the following explanations on the processing steps and the production technique.
6.1 Bending
-Do not use a hammer to bend the system anchor.
-For bending the system anchor you have to use a bending iron with round
edges to avoid notches (fig. 5). Both bending irons with straight and with
curved edges can easily cause breakage of the system anchor.
-Bending is a cold working technique. Do not heat the material since the materi-
al's characteristics can change permanently.
-Do not alternate the bending direction repeatedly because this would stress the
material and could cause it to break.
-To avoid fractures when bending the system anchor, make sure not to fall below
the radii given in the table (fig. 6). The bending radius depends on the thickness
of the material (see table).

* Calculation example: a system anchor made of aluminium is 5mm thick. Multiplied by 11, the bending radius
is 55mm. This value is the minimum radius.
6.2 Processing the Surface
Remove notches and other residues from the surface before connecting the system anchor
to the system joint. Smooth and finish the surface in direction of rolling (fig. 7). Make sure
that you do not remove too much material.
6.3 Connecting to Orthosis Shell
Anchor Lamination Technique
The system anchors for waterproof system joints were developed by FIOR & GENTZ for
the production of a laminated orthosis using the Anchor Lamination Technique (fig. 8). In
this production technique, the system anchor is embedded in the laminate.
6.4 Adhering
The system anchor for waterproof system joints can be connected to the system joint by
adhering it into the system joint.
1 Clean the system anchor and the system joint.
2 Apply the primer to the adhesive surfaces for the system
anchor in the system joint and the system anchor by using
the cotton swab from the adhesive set (fig. 9–10).
3 Let the primer flash off completely.
4 Inject a sufficient amount of the 2-component adhesive in
the system joint by using the set's dual-chamber syringe
(fig. 11).
5 Immediately stick the system anchor as far as possible into the system joint
(fig. 12).
6 Let the adhesive harden for 24 hours until the final strength is reached.
7 Remove the removable sticker as well as possible adhesive residues from the
system joint.
During bending wear working clothes with long sleeves as well as work gloves and goggles to avoid
injuries in case the system anchor breaks.

Note that the orthosis should not be tempered after connecting the
system anchor to the system joint. The properties of the adhesive con-
nection change at temperatures that are too high.

7. Accessory Parts
The amount of the 2-component adhesive and the primer from the adhesive set is sucient to adhere a sys-
tem anchor into a system joint. If required, you can reorder the adhesive set.

Dispose of the system anchor for waterproof system joints properly. The product must
not be disposed of with the residual waste (fig.13). Please comply with the applicable
national laws and local regulations for the proper recycling of recyclable materials.
9. CE Conformity
We declare that our medical devices as well as our accessories for medical devices are in conformity with the
requirements of Regulation (EU) 2017/745. Therefore, the FIOR & GENTZ products bear the CE marking.
10. Legal Information
With the purchase of this product, our General Terms and Conditions of Business Transactions, Sales, Delivery
and Payment will apply. The warranty expires, for example, if the product is mounted several times. Please
note that the product is not supposed to be combined with other components or materials than with those
recommended by the FIOR & GENTZ Orthosis Configurator. Should the product be combined with products from
other manufacturers, a written consent by the seller is required.

2.2 Toutes les consignes générales pour l’emploi sûr de l’ancre modulaire
AVERTISSEMENT
Risque de chute lié à une manipulation incorrecte
Informez le patient sur l’emploi correct de l’articulation modulaire et sur les risques éventuels (par ex.
rupture de l’ancre modulaire), notamment en ce qui concerne une charge mécanique trop élevée (par ex.
due au sport, à un niveau d’activité accru ou à une prise de poids).

Pour une présentation simplifiée, toutes les étapes de travail sont illustrées en
utilisant l’articulation de cheville modulaire NEUROSWING H2O(Fig. 1) comme
exemple. Elles peuvent être transférées à toutes les articulations modulaires
mentionnées.

niveau d’activité accru), recalculez la charge admissible de l’articulation modulaire et choisissez le matériau

Un traitement incorrect peut entraîner une rupture de l’ancre modulaire. Cintrez l’ancre modulaire confor-
mément aux instructions de la présente notice d’utilisation. Veillez en particulier à:
- ne pas chauer l’ancre modulaire lors du cintrage,
- respecter le rayon de courbure spécifié et
- éliminer les encoches ou les résidus par une finition soignée.

Un usinage incorrect peut entraîner une rupture de l’ancre modulaire ou d’autres composants modulaires.
Veillez en particulier à:
- bien intégrer l’ancre modulaire dans l’articulation modulaire,
- coller l’ancre modulaire dans l’articulation modulaire selon la technique de fabrication,
- fixer correctement l’ancre modulaire dans le stratifié de l’orthèse.

Fonction restreinte de l’articulation due à un usinage incorrect
Les erreurs d’usinage peuvent nuire au bon fonctionnement de l’articulation. Veillez particulièrement à ne
graisser que légèrement les composants de l'articulation.
3. Usage prévu
Les ancres modulaires sont des éléments de jonction. L’ancre modulaire pour les articulations modulaires
résistantes à l’eau joint l’articulation modulaire à la coque d’une orthèse en résine coulée. L’ancre modulaire
doit être assemblée avec une articulation modulaire résistante à l’eau dans la largeur modulaire et avec la
technique de fabrication appropriées. L’ancre modulaire et l’articulation modulaire sont destinées uniquement
à l’appareillage orthétique des membres inférieurs et ne doivent être intégrées que par des orthopédistes ou
des experts qualifiés/formés.

4. Contenu de la livraison

Pour l’articulation de cheville modulaire NEURO SWING H2O, les ancres
modulaires sont disponible pour les largeurs modulaires 12, 14, 16 et 20mm
(Fig. 2). Pour les articulations de genou modulaires NEUROLOCK H2Oet
NEUROCLASSIC H2O, les ancres modulaires sont disponible pour la largeur
modulaire 20mm. Elle sont disponibles sous forme droite et galbée gauche/
droite (Fig.3). Le kit de collage (Fig. 4) pour le collage de l’ancre modulaire
dans l’articulation modulaire se compose d’un adhésif bicomposant et
primer. Il est fourni avec l’articulation modulaire et peut être commandé
séparément (voir paragraphe7).
5. Charge admissible
La charge admissible est basée sur les données du patient et peut
être déterminée à l’aide du Configurateur d’orthèse. Pour fabriquer
l’orthèse, utilisez les composants modulaires déterminés par le
Configurateur d’orthèse et appliquez la technique de fabrication
recommandée. Vous trouverez des informations sur les techniques de
fabrication sur notre site web www.fior-gentz.de/fr dans la rubrique
«Tutoriels en ligne».
6. Usinage
L’ancre modulaire pour les articulations modulaires résistantes à l’eau doit être
adaptée à la forme individuelle de la jambe. Afin d’assurer un fonctionnement
optimal de l’ancre modulaire, veuillez respecter les explications suivantes concer-
nant les étapes d’usinage et la technique de fabrication.
6.1 Cintrage
-N’utilisez pas de marteau pour le cintrage de l’ancre modulaire.
-Veillez à utiliser un fer à contourner rond pour éviter les encoches lors du
cintrage de l’ancre modulaire (Fig.5). Les fers carrés et biseautés peuvent faci-
lement provoquer la rupture de l’ancre modulaire.
-Le cintrage est un processus d’écrouissage. Ne chauffez pas le matériau, car cela
pourrait modifier ses propriétés de façon permanente.
-Ne modifiez pas la direction de courbure de manière répétée lors du cintrage,
car cela va tendre le matériau et pourrait entraîner sa rupture.
-Pour éviter que l’ancre modulaire casse lors du cintrage, assurez-vous que les
rayons ne sont pas inférieurs aux rayons indiqués dans le tableau (Fig.6). Le
rayon de courbure dépend de l’épaisseur de matériau (voir tableau).

* Exemple de calcul : Un ancre modulaire en aluminium a une épaisseur de 5 mm. Multiplié par 11, on obtient
un rayon de courbure de 55 mm. Cette valeur est le rayon minimum.
6.2 Traitement de la surface
Avant de connecter l’ancre modulaire avec l’articulation modulaire, enlevez les encoches
et autres résidus de la surface. Finissez la surface dans le sens de la stratification (Fig. 7).
Veillez à ne pas enlever trop de matériau.
6.3 Connexion avec la coque de l’orthèse
Technique de stratification de l’ancre
Les ancres modulaires pour les articulations modulaires résistantes à l’eau ont été
développées par FIOR & GENTZ pour la fabrication d’une orthèse en résine coulée avec la
technique de stratification de l’ancre (Fig. 8). Dans cette technique de fabrication, l’ancre
modulaires est intégrée dans le stratifié.
6.4 Collage
L’ancre modulaire pour les articulations modulaires résistantes à l’eau est attachée
à l’articulation modulaire en la collant dans l’articulation
modulaire.
1 Nettoyez l’ancre modulaire et l’articulation modulaire.
2 Appliquez le primer à l’aide du coton-tige du kit de collage
sur les surfaces à coller afin de fixer l’ancre modulaire dans
l’articulation modulaire et sur l’ancre modulaire (Fig. 9–10).
3 Laissez le primer aérer complètement.
4 Déposez une quantité suffisante de colle bicomposant dans
l’articulation modulaire à l’aide de la seringue double corps du kit de
collage (Fig. 11).
5 Insérez immédiatement l’ancre modulaire dans l’articulation modulaire
aussi profondément que possible (Fig. 12).
6 Laisser durcir l’adhésif pendant 24 heures jusqu’à ce que l’adhérence finale
soit atteinte.
7 Retirez l’autocollant et, le cas échéant, les restes de colle de l’articulation
modulaire.
Lors du cintrage de l’ancre modulaire, portez des vêtements de travail à manches longues, des gants
de travail et des lunettes de protection pour éviter des blessures dans le cas d’une rupture de l’ancre
modulaire.

Veuillez noter que l’orthèse ne doit plus être soumis à un recuit après
vous avez connecté l’ancre modulaire et l’articulation modulaire. Si la
température est trop élevée, les propriétés du collage changent.

7. Accessoires
La quantité d’adhésif bicomposant et du primer du kit de collage sut pour coller une ancre modulaire dans
une articulation modulaire. Si nécessaire, vous pouvez commander à nouveau le kit de collage.

8. Élimination
Éliminez l’ancre modulaires pour les articulations modulaires résistantes à l’eau selon
les règles. Le dispositif ne doit pas être jeté dans les ordures ménagères (Fig.13). Pour
garantir le recyclage correct des matériaux valorisables, respectez les dispositions légales
nationales et les prescriptions locales en vigueur.
9. Conformité CE

exigences du règlement (UE) 2017/745. FIOR&GENTZ applique le marquage CE sur ses dispositifs.
10. Informations légales
Lors de l’achat de ce produit, nos conditions générales de vente, d’achat, de livraison et de paiement sont
applicables. Entre autres, un assemblage répété du dispositif rend la garantie nulle et non avenue. Veuillez
noter que le dispositif ne doit pas être associé à d'autres composants ou matériaux que ceux indiqués dans le
résultat de configuration obtenu avec le Configurateur d'orthèse FIOR&GENTZ. Si le produit est combiné avec
des produits d’autres fabricants, une autorisation écrite du vendeur est requise.
Les instructions fournies dans la présente notice d’utilisation correspondent aux conditions données au mo-
ment de son impression. Les spécifications des dispositifs ne sont données qu’à titre indicatif. Sous réserve de
