This online tutorial describes the assembly of the spirit level of the NEURO HiSWING system ankle joint.
The spirit level is part of the system joint and is used to adjust the NEURO HiSWING on slopes or
inclines according to the basic alignment set by the orthotist.

Reinforce as usual until only the final layer of carbon fibre fabric is missing.

Mount the assembly/lamination dummy for the spirit level to the system string close to the joint using
spray adhesive. Maintain a distance of 4 cm to the axle screw of the system joint to ensure the
movability of the lever.

Cover all dummies with a final layer of carbon fibre fabric.

Laminate as usual. Make sure that the fibres are soaked thoroughly.

Place the shaping dummy of the system joint and secure it with adhesive tape. Press out the foot piece
in order to receive the highest possible fibre volume ratio. Continue as usual.

Let the resin harden. Remove the shaping dummy.

Use a sharp knife or a file to remove the laminate above the dummies. Ensure clean edges for the spirit
level.

Remove the assembly/lamination dummy for the spirit level with a screw. Screw it into the thread until
the dummy has lifted up on the thread and it can be removed. This ensures that the laminate edges do
not get damaged.

Continue as usual. Cut the orthosis from the model and temper and grind it.

Clean the surfaces to be adhered. Use a small amount of AGOMET® F330 to adhere the spirit level to
the cavity shaped by the dummy.
Note: mind the safety data sheet when using AGOMET® F330.

Mount the system joint according to the assembly instruction in the instructions for use and use the

The alignment of the orthosis is based on the individual, gait-related normal posture of the patient. This
ensures the most physiological gait possible in mid stance.
