Zu Ihrer Sicherheit
Vor Gebrauch des Gerätes lesen und
danach handeln:
–die vorliegende Bedienungsanleitung,
–die für den Einsatzort geltenden Regeln
und Vorschriften zur Unfallverhütung.
Dieses Gerät ist nach dem Stand der
Technik und den anerkannten sicherheits-
technischen Regeln gebaut.
Das Gerät ist nur zu benutzen
–für die bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung,
–in sicherheitstechnisch einwandfreiem
Zustand.
Die Sicherheit beeinträchtigende Störungen
umgehend beseitigen.
Laserklassifizierung
Das Gerät entspricht der Laserklasse 2M,
basierend auf der Norm IEC 825-1/
EN 60825. Das Auge ist bei zufälligem,
kurzzeitigen Hineinsehen in die
Laserstrahlung durch den Lidschlussreflex
geschützt. Dieser Lidschutzreflex kann
jedoch durch Medikamente, Alkohol oder
Drogen beeinträchtigt werden. Diese Geräte
dürfen ohne weitere Schutzmaßnahme
eingesetzt werden, wenn sichergestellt ist,
das keine optischen Instrumente den
Strahlquerschnitt verkleinern. Laserstrahl
nicht gegen Personen richten.

Laserstrahlung! Nicht in den Strahl blicken
oder direkt mit optische Instrumenten be-
trachten.

Elektromagnetische
Verträglichkeit
Obwohl das Gerät die strengen Anforderun-
gen der einschlägigen Richtlinien erfüllt,
kann die Möglichkeit nicht ausgeschlossen
werden, dass das Gerät
–andere Geräte (z.B. Navigationseinrich-
tungen von Flugzeugen) stört oder
–durch starke Strahlung gestört wird,
was zu einer Fehloperation führen kann.
In diesen Fällen oder anderen Unsicher-
heiten sollten Kontrollmessungen
durchgeführt werden.
Bestimmungsgemäße
Verwendung
Dieser Linienlaser ist bestimmt für den ge-
werblichen Einsatz in Industrie und Handwerk.
DasGerätistbestimmt zum Ermitteln,Übertra-
gen und Überprüfen von waagrechten Höhen-
verläufen, senkrechten Linien, Fluchtlinien,
Lotpunkten und rechten Winkeln wie z.B.:
–Meter- und Höhenrisse übertragen,
–Anreißen von Zwischenwänden (senk-
recht und/oder im rechten Winkel) und
–Ausrichten von Anlagen und Elementen
in drei Achsen.
Sicherheitshinweise
Gefahr!
–Kinder von Lasergeräten fernhalten.
–Verhindern Sie durch geeignete Maß-
nahmen, das Dritte mit optischen Instru-
menten in den Laserstrahl blicken.
–Den Laserstrahlengang möglichst über
oder unter Augenhöhe verlaufen lassen.
–Manipulationen oder Veränderungen am
Gerät sind nicht erlaubt. Keine Sicher-
heitseinrichtungen unwirksam machen
und keine Hinweis- und Warnschilder
entfernen.
–Gerät vor der Inbetriebnahme auf sicht-
bareSchädenuntersuchen.Beschädigte
Geräte nicht in Betrieb nehmen.
–Gerät nur durch autorisierte Fachkräfte
reparieren lassen. Bei unsachgemäßem
Öffnen des Geräts kann Laserstrahlung
entstehen, die die Klasse 2 übersteigt.
–Gerät nicht in explosionsgefährdeter Um-
gebung einsetzen.
–Bei Ausrichtarbeiten auf Leitern eine ab-
normale Körperhaltung vermeiden. Für
sicheren Stand und ständiges Gleichge-
wicht sorgen.
Sachschäden!
–Gerätefuß/Kompensatorklemme (10)
unbedingt verriegeln bei Transport des
Gerätes.
–Das Gerät nicht im Regen benutzen.
–Wenn das Gerät aus großer Kälte in eine
wärmere Umgebung gebracht wird oder
umgekehrt, sollten Sie das Gerät vor
dem Gebrauch akklimatisieren lassen.
–Bei der Verwendung von Adaptern und
Stativen sicherstellen, dass das Gerät
fest aufgeschraubt ist.
–Gerät nur im dazugehörigen Transport-
koffer transportieren.
–Zum Versand des Gerätes oder einer
längeren Stilllegung die Batterien isolie-
ren oder aus dem Gerät entfernen.
Umweltschäden!
–Gerät, Akkupacks und Batterien gemäß
den jeweils gültigen landesspezifischen
Richtlinien entsorgen. Im Zweifelsfall
beim Hersteller oder Lieferanten nach-
fragen.

Batterien im Gerät verwenden
Hinweis
Wenn eine der LED (2, 3, 6) blinkt, den
kompletten Batteriesatz austauschen.
Einsetzbare Batterien:
–3 x Typ AA / 1,5 V
nBatteriefach (11) des Gerätes öffnen.
nBatterien polrichtig einlegen.
nBatteriefach schließen.
Wand- und Stativkonsole
Hinweis
Für optimale Ergebnisse wird die
Befestigung des Gerätes auf einem Stativ
(Zubehör) empfohlen.

Gerät ein- und ausschalten
Hinweis
Der Gerätefußist gleichzeitig Ein/Aus-Schal-
ter und Kompensationsklemme der Selbst-
nivelliereinrichtung.
Gerät einschalten:
nGerätefußgegen den Uhrzeigersinn auf
„UNLOCK“drehen.
Gerät ausschalten:
nGerätefußim Uhrzeigersinn auf „LOCK“
drehen.
Gerät bedienen
nGerät einschalten.
nGerät in die Wand- und Stativkonsole
setzen.
Das Gerät nivelliert sich im Selbst-
nivellierbereich (±3,5°) selbst.
Wenn das Gerät zu schräg aufgestellt wurde
(>3,5°), ertönt ein Warnsignal und es werden
blinkende Laserstrahlen angezeigt. In die-
sem Fall:
nGerät in eine waagerechtere Position
bringen, dazu Wand- und Stativkonsole
ausrichten.
nLaserlinien je nach Bedarf einschalten:.
–Horizontale Linie: Taste H (1)
–Vertikale Linie 1: Taste V1 (5)
–Vertikale Linie 2: Taste V2 (4)
(90°versetzt zu V1)
Die leuchtenden LED (2, 3, 6) zeigen an,
welche Laserlinie eingeschaltet ist.
nZum Ausschalten der Laserlinien
jeweilige Taste betätigen.
Die dazugehörende LED verlischt.
Nach der Arbeit:

Genauigkeit überprüfen
Vorsicht!
Justierungen am Gerät ausschließlich durch
autorisierte Fachkräfte ausführen lassen.
Vertikale Genauigkeit
nHandelsübliches Lot dicht vor einer
Wand befestigen oder eine ähnliche
Referenz schaffen.
nGerät vor die Referenz stellen und den
Vertikalstrahl V1 einschalten.
Vertikallinie und Referenz vergleichen.
–Maximale Abweichung: 0,6 mm/m
nGerät um 90°drehen und Vorgang mit
Vertikalstrahl V2 wiederholen.
Horizontale Genauigkeit
Voraussetzung für exakte Prüfung:
–Vertikale Genauigkeit geprüft und
innerhalb der Toleranz
–2 parallele Wände, Abstand ca. 10 m
–höhenverstellbares Stativ o. Ä..
nGerät vor Wand A stellen :
–Vertikale Laserlinie durch 2 Punkte V
markieren.
–2 Punkte A1 und A2 des Horizontal-
strahls H im Abstand von jeweils 1 m
zur Vertikalen markieren.
nGerät um 180°drehen und auf der
gegenüberliegenden Wand den Vorgang
wiederholen .
–2 Punkte V der vertikalen Linie
–2 Punkte B1 und B2 der horizontalen
Laserlinie analog oben
nGerät vor Wand B stellen und so
ausrichten, das Horizontal- und
Vertikalstrahl möglichst genau mit den
Markierungen B1, B2 und V über-
einstimmt .
nGerät um 180°drehen und vertikale
Laserlinie auf die Markierungen V
ausrichten.
–2 Punkte A3 und A4 der horizontalen
Laserlinie im Abstand von jeweils 1 m
zur Vertikalen markieren.
nAbstand der Punkte A1 zu A3 bzw.
A2 zu A4 ermitteln.
–Maximale Abweichung: 6 mm
Hinweis
Eine Differenz zwischen den beiden Werten
X1 und X2 deutet auf
–Fehler der Selbstnivelliereinrichtung
–Fehler in der Rechtwinkligkeit der
Strahlen H und V1 zueinander.

Wartung und Pflege
Reinigung
Wenn das Gerät nach Benutzung feucht ist,
Gerät und Zubehör mit einem trockenen,
weichen Tuch trocken reiben.
Zur Entfernung von Schmutz keine Lösungs-
mittel oder kratzende Hilfsmittel benutzen.
Sauberes, mit Wasser angefeuchtets Tuch
und mildes Reinigungsmittel verwenden.
Austrittsfenster der Laserstrahlen (8, 9) mit
weichem Tuch von Staub o. Ä. befreien.
Reparaturen
Reparaturen ausschließlich durch eine vom
Hersteller autorisierte Kundendienst-
werkstatt ausführen lassen.

Garantie
Bei Erwerb einer Neumaschine gewährt
FLEX 2 Jahre Hersteller-Garantie, begin-
nend mit dem Verkaufsdatum der Maschine
an den Endverbraucher. Die Garantie er-
streckt sich nur auf Mängel, die auf Material-
und/oder Herstellungsfehler sowie auf die
Nichterfüllung zugesicherter Eigenschaften
zurückzuführen sind. Bei Geltendmachung
eines Garantieanspruchs ist der Original-
Verkaufsbeleg mit Verkaufsdatum beizufü-
gen. Garantiereparaturen dürfen ausschließ-
lichvonFLEXautorisiertenWerkstättenoder
Service-Stationen durchgeführt werden.
Ein Garantieanspruch besteht nur bei be-
stimmungsgemäßer Verwendung. Von der
Garantieausgeschlossensindinsbesondere
betriebsbedingter Verschleiß, unsachge-
mäße Anwendung, teilweise oder komplett
demontierte Maschinen sowie Schäden
durch Überlastung der Maschine, Verwen-
dung von nicht zugelassenen, defekten oder
falsch angewendeten Einsatzwerkzeugen.
Schäden, die durch die Maschine am Ein-

Before using the power tool, read and follow:
–these operating instructions,

This power tool is state of the art and has
been constructed in accordance with the
acknowledged safety regulations.
The power tool may be operated only if it is
–used as intended,
–in perfect working order.
Immediately repair any faults which impair
safety.
Laser classification
The power tool conforms to a class 2M laser
basedonthestandardIEC 825-1/EN 60825.
Eyes must be protected with the eyelid close
reflex in case you accidentally glance into
the laser beam. However, this eyelid
protective reflex may be impaired by
medication, alcohol or drugs. These
machines may be used without taking any
further precautionary measures provided
that there are no optical instruments which
can reduce the cross-section of the beam.
Do not aim the laser beam at people.
Identification on the power tool
Laser radiation! Do not look into the beam or
observe directly with optical instruments.

Electromagnetic compatibility
Although the power tool satisfies the strict
requirements specified in the relevant
directives, it cannot be excluded that the
power tool
–will affect other power tools (e.g.
navigation equipment on aircraft) or
–itself will be affected by high radiation,
resulting in a malfunction.
In these or other uncertain cases, check
measurements should be taken.
Intended use
This line laser is designed for industrial
applications.
The power tool is designed to determine,
transfer and check horizontal courses, vertical
lines, alignments, perpendicular points and
right angles, e.g.:
–to transfer metre and height cracks,
–to mark partition walls (vertical and/or
at a right angle) and
–to align equipment and controls in three
dimensions.
Safety instructions
Danger!
–Keep children away from laser power
tools.
–Use suitable measures to prevent a third
party from looking into the laser beam
with optical instruments.
–If at all possible let the laser beam path
run above or below eye level.
–It is not permitted to tamper with or
change the power tool. Do not disable
safety devices and do not remove
information and warning signs.
–Before switching on the power tool,
check for visible damage. Do not switch
on damaged power tools.
–The power tool may be repaired by
authorised technicians only. If the power
tool is opened without authorisation,
laser radiation may be emitted which
exceeds class 2.
–Do not use the power tool in an explosive
environment.
–Ifcarryingoutalignmentworkon ladders,
avoid an abnormal posture. Ensure that
you have a secure footing and keep your
balance.
Damage to property!
–When transporting the machine, always
lock the machine foot/compensator
clamp (10).
–Do not use the machine in the rain.
–If the power tool is brought from a cold to
a warm environment or vice versa, leave
the power tool to acclimatise before
using it.
–If using adapters and tripods, ensure that
the power tool has been firmly screwed
down.
–Transport the power tool in the
appropriate transportation case only.
–If shipping the power tool or disconnec-
ting it for a prolonged period, isolate the
batteries or take them out of the power
tool.
Damage to the environment!
–Dispose of power tool, battery packs and
batteriesinaccordance withthe currently
valid national directives. If in doubt,
contact the manufacturer or supplier.

Unpack the power tool and check that the
delivery is complete and not damaged.
Before using the machine for the first time,
insert batteries.
Mains mode
The machine can be used with a standard
power supply unit (4.5 V d.c., 2.5 mm jack
plug).
Connect the power supply unit to the socket
(10).
Using batteries in the power tool
Note
If one of the LEDs (2, 3, 6) flashes,
replace the complete battery set.
Required batteries:
–3 x type AA / 1,5 V
nOpen the battery compartment (11)
on the machine.
nInsert the batteries the correct way
round.
nClose the battery compartment.
Wall and tripod bracket
Note
For optimum results it is recommended to
attach the machine to a tripod (accessory).
nTripod thread: 5/8"
The wall and tripod bracket can be attached
to a wall with the elongated holes.

Switching the power tool on
and off
Note
The machine foot is both an On/Off switch
and compensation clamp for the self-levelling
device.
Switch on the machine:
nRotate the machine foot anti-clockwise
to “UNLOCK”.
Switch off the machine:
nRotate the machine foot clockwise
to “LOCK”.
Operating the machine
nSwitch on the machine.
nPlace the machine in the wall and tripod
bracket.
The machine levels itself within the self-
levelling range (±3.5°).
If the machine has been positioned at too
steep an angle (>3.5°), a warning signal
sounds and flashing laser beams are
displayed. In this case:
nMove the machine into a more horizontal
position by aligning the wall and tripod
bracket.
nSwitch on laser lines according
to requirement.
–Horizontal line: Button H (1)
–Vertical line 1: Button V1 (5)
–Vertical line 2: Button V2 (4)
(90°transferred to V1)
The lit LEDs (2, 3, 6) indicate which laser
line has been switched on.
nTo switch off the laser lines, press the
appropriate button.
The associated LED goes out.
On completion of work:
nSwitch off the appliance.

Checking precision
Caution!
The power tool may be adjusted
by authorised technicians only.
Vertical precision
nAttach a standard plumb-bob just in front
of a wall or create a similar reference.
nPlace the machine in front of the
reference and switch on the vertical
beam V1.
Compare vertical line and reference.
–Maximum deviation: 0.6 mm/m
nRotate the machine by 90°and repeat
the process with vertical beam V2.
Horizontal precision
Requirement for exact check:
–Vertical precision checked and within the
tolerance
–2 parallel walls, distance approx. 10 m
–Height-adjustable tripod, etc..
nPlace machine in front of wall A :
–Mark vertical laser line by 2 points V.
–Mark 2 points A1 and A2 for the
horizontal beam H at a distance of 1 m
to the vertical.
nRotate the machine by 180°and repeat
the process on the opposite wall .
–2 points V for the vertical line
–2 points B1 and B2 for the horizontal

Maintenance and care
Cleaning
If the power tool is damp after use, wipe the
power tool and accessories with a dry, soft
cloth.
Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning
agents to remove dirt. Use a clean cloth
moistened with water and a mild detergent.
Remove dust, etc. from the discharge
windows for the laser beams (8, 9) with
asoftcloth.

customer service centre only.

Guarantee
FLEX will provide the end consumer of
a newly purchased power tool with a 2-year
manufacturer’s guarantee commencing on
the date the power tool is purchased.
The guarantee covers only defects which
can be attributed to a material and/or
production fault as well as non-performance
of warranted characteristics. When making
a claim under the guarantee, enclose the
original sales receipt with purchase date.
Repairs under the guarantee may be carried
out only by workshops or service centres
authorised by FLEX. A claim may be made
under the guarantee only if the power tool
has been used as intended. In particular,
the guarantee does not cover wear and tear,
improper use, partially or completely
dismantled power tools as well as any
damage caused by overloading the power
tool, the use of non-permitted, defective or
incorrectly used insertable tools, damage to
the insertable tool or workpiece caused by
the power tool, violent use, consequential
damage which can be attributed to improper
orinadequatemaintenance onthepartofthe
customer or a third party, damage caused by
an external influence or foreign objects, e.g.
sand or stones, as well as damage caused
by non-compliance with the operating
instructions, e.g. connection to an incorrect
mains voltage or current type. Claims for
insertable tools or accessories can only be
made under the guarantee providedthey are
used with power tools for the intended or
permitted use.

L'appareil appartient àla classe de laser 2,

Si, par hasard, l'œil fixe la source du
rayonnement laser pendant une courte
durée, un réflexe fait fermer la paupière
et protège l'oeil. Ce réflexe de fermeture
de la paupière peut toutefois être entraver
par la prise de médicaments, de drogues,
ou l'absorption d'alcool. Ces appareils

Ce laser àtrait est destinéàdes applications
professionnelles dans l'industrie et l'artisanat.
L'appareil est conçu pour déterminer,
reporter et contrôler des hauteurs de lignes
horizontales, des lignes verticales, des
alignements, des pieds de perpendiculaire,
et des angles droits, comme par exemple :
–Reporter des traçages ;
–Tracer des cloisons (verticales et / ou
àangle droit) et
–Ajuster des installations et éléments
selon trois axes.
Consignes de sécurité

–Veillezàceque le tracédufaisceaulaser

–Il est interdit de manipuler ou modifier

Dégâts matériels !
–Avant de transporter l'appareil,
verrouillez impérativement la bride
compensatrice (10) de son piètement.
–N'utilisez pas l'appareil sous la pluie.
–Si vous faites passer l'appareil d'un froid
intense dans un environnement plus
chaud, ou vice-versa, laissez l'appareil
s'acclimater avant de l'utiliser.
–Si vous utilisez des adaptateurs et des
trépieds, assurez-vous que l'appareil est
solidement vissé.
–Transportez l'appareil uniquement dans
sa mallette de transport.
–Avant d'expédier l'appareil ou de le
ranger pour une durée assez longue,
isolez les piles ou enlevez-les de
l'appareil.

–Mettez au rebut l'appareil, le bloc
d'accumulateurs, et les piles selon les
directives en vigueur dans votre pays.
