familiarize you with the layout of the switch and describes how to deploy it in your network.

Installation Requirements
Screwdriver, static-proof wristband, and other Ethernet terminal devices.
Standard-sized, 19" wide rack with a minimum of 1U height available.
Category 5e or higher RJ45 Ethernet cables and fiber optical cables for connecting network
devices.
Before the installation, make sure that you have the following:
Site Environment:
Make sure that the temperature of the installation site is maintained at 0°C~45°C.
The installation site must be well-ventilated. Ensure that there is adequate airflow around the
switch.
The switch should be installed at least 1U (44.45mm) away from devices to its sides.

Be sure that the switch is level and stable to avoid any hazardous conditions.
Do not install the equipment in a dusty environment.
The installation site must be free from leaking or dripping water, heavy dew, and humidity.
Ensure the rack and working platforms are well-earthed.
Mounting the switch

1. Attach the four rubber pads to the four corners on the switch bottom.
2. Place the switch on the smooth and safe desk.

NOTE: Do not put things weighing 4.5 kg or over 4.5 kg on the top of the switch.

Rack Mounting
1. Secure the mounting brackets to the two sides of the switch with the supplied screws.
2. Attach the switch to the rack using the screws.

NOTE: When you fix the brackets, the front panel of the switch faces forward.

Grounding the Switch
CAUTION: The earth connection must not be removed unless all supply connections have
been disconnected.
1. Connect one end of the grounding cable to a proper earth ground, such as the rack in which the
switch is mounted.
2. Secure the grounding lug to the grounding point on the switch back panel with the washers and
screws.

1. Connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port of a network device.
2. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port of the switch.
1. Plug the compatible SFP+ transceiver into the SFP+ port.
2. Connect a fiber optic cable to the fiber transceiver. Then connect the other end of the cable to
another fiber device.

1. Insert the RJ45 connector into the RJ45 console port on the front panel of the switch.
2. Connect the DB9 female connector of the console cable to the serial port on the computer.
Connecting the Power
1. Plug the AC power cord into the power port on the back of the switch.
2. Connect the other end of the power cord to an AC power source.
Configuring the Switch
Configuring the Switch Using the Console Port
Step 1: Connect a computer to the console port of the switch with the console cable.
Step 2: Start the terminal simulation software, such as HyperTerminal on the computer.
Step 3: Set the parameters of the HyperTerminal: Baud rate to 115200, Data bits to 8, Parity to None,
and Stop bits to 1.
WARNING: Do not install power cables while the power is on.

Configuring the Switch Using the Web-Based Interface
Step 1: Connect a computer to the Ethernet port of the switch using the network cable.
Step 2: Set the IP address of the computer to 192.168.1.x ("x" is any number from 2 to 254).

supports this capability. Otherwise, you need to ask your network
administrator for the appropriate IP settings.

Step 3: Open a browser, type http://192.168.1.1 and enter the default username and password,
admin/admin.
Step 4: Click Login to display the web-based configuration page.
Troubleshooting
Faults Related to Power and Cooling Systems
When the power switch is at the“ON”location, check the fan's working status and its condition.
If the switch is too hot, check whether the air outlet and air inlet are clean.
If the switch cannot be started and the PWR indicator is off, check the power.
Faults Related to Port, Cable and Connection

If the port of the switch cannot be linked, check whether the cable is correctly connected and
whether the peer connection is normal.
If the power switch is at the“ON”location, check the power source and the power cable.
If the console port does not work after the system is started up, check whether the console port is set
to a baud rate of 115200 bps, eight data bits, no sum check bit, and one stop bit.

Installationsvoraussetzungen
Schraubendreher, statiksicheres Armband und andere Ethernet-Endgeräte.
Ein 19"-Rack in Standardgröße mit einer Mindesthöhe von 1 HE steht zur Verfügung.
RJ45-Ethernet-Kabel der Kategorie 5e oder höher und Glasfaserkabel für den Anschluss von
Netzwerkgeräten.
Vergewissern Sie sich vor der Installation, dass Sie Folgendes zur Hand
haben:
Standortumgebung:
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Temperatur des Aufstellungsortes zwischen 0°C und 45°C liegt.
Der Installationsort muss gut belüftet sein. Stellen Sie sicher, dass um den Switch herum ein
ausreichender Luftstrom herrscht.

Der Switch sollte mindestens 1 HE (44,45 mm) von den Geräten an seinen Seiten entfernt
installiert werden. Achten Sie darauf, dass der Switch waagerecht und stabil steht, um gefährliche
Bedingungen zu vermeiden.
Installieren Sie das Gerät nicht in einer staubigen Umgebung.
Der Installationsort muss frei von austretendem oder tropfendem Wasser, starkem Tau und
Feuchtigkeit sein.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Rack und die Arbeitsbühnen gut geerdet sind.

Rack-Montage
1. Befestigen Sie die Montagehalterungen mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben an den beiden Seiten
des Switches.
2. Befestigen Sie den Switch mit den Schrauben am Rack.

HINWEIS: Wenn Sie die Halterungen befestigen, zeigt die Vorderseite des Switches nach
vorne.

Erdung des Switches
ACHTUNG: Der Erdungsanschluss darf erst dann entfernt werden, wenn alle
Versorgungsanschlüsse getrennt wurden.
1. Schließen Sie ein Ende des Erdungskabels an eine geeignete Erdung an, z. B. an das Rack, in dem
der Switch montiert ist.
2. Befestigen Sie die Erdungslasche mit den Unterlegscheiben und Schrauben am Erdungspunkt an
der Rückwand des Switches.

1. Schließen Sie ein Ethernet-Kabel an den RJ45-Port eines Netzwerkgeräts an.
2. Schließen Sie das andere Ende des Ethernet-Kabels an den RJ45-Port des Switches an.

1. Stecken Sie den RJ45-Stecker in den RJ45-Console-Port an der Vorderseite des Switches.
2. Verbinden Sie die DB9-Buchse des Console-Kabels mit dem seriellen Anschluss des Computers.

Schritt 1: Schließen Sie einen Computer über das Console-Kabel an den Console-Port des Switches an.
Schritt 2: Starten Sie die Terminalsimulationssoftware, z. B. HyperTerminal, auf dem Computer.
Schritt 3: Stellen Sie die Parameter von HyperTerminal ein: Baudrate auf 115200, Datenbits auf 8,
Parität auf Keine und Stoppbits auf 1.
