Mounting instructions for Dome Systems and permanently mounted
Cameras especially for Pole Mount.
Please note that the place of mounting should be stiff enough to counter strong
wind or other vibrations!
Otherwise all VCA functions like Motion Detection, Privacy Masking, etc. either in
cameras or with DVRs could be disturbed heavily and can cause unliked and often
alarms. In some cases mechanical problems or defects can be the result of such
vibrations, like overheating of focus motors caused by persistant mast shaking!
This manual provides the installation information for the Outdoor 4K UHD Fix Dome
IP Camera. To work with the Dome Cameras, any installer or technician must have
the following minimum qualifications:
 A basic knowledge of CCTV systems and components
 A basic knowledge of electrical wiring and low-voltage electrical hookups
 A basic knowledge of network system setting
 Have read this manual completely

Warnings and Cautions
 Handle the camera carefully
Do not abuse the camera. Avoid striking, shaking, etc. The camera could be
damaged by improper handing or storage.
 Installing electricity wiring carefully
Ask qualified personnel of electrical wiring for the installation. Please note the
technical specifications for correct power supply at the end of this manual.
 Do not disassemble the camera
To prevent electric shock, do not remove screws or covers. There are no user
serviceable parts inside. Ask a qualified service person for servicing.
 Do not operate the camera beyond the specified temperature, humidity or
power source ratings
Use the camera under conditions which are described in the technical
specifications.
 Do not use strong or abrasive detergents when cleaning the camera body
Use a dry cloth to clean the camera when it is dirty. In case the dirt is hard to
remove, use a mild detergent and wipe the camera gently.
 Never face the camera towards the sun
Do not aim the camera at bright objects. Whether the camera is in use or not, never
aim it at the sun or other extremely bright objects. Otherwise, the camera may be
smeared or damaged.

Dome Cover Cleaning Guide
Dirt or dust on the surface of a Dome camera can blur the image. The following describes
how to correctly clean the dome cover of a Dome camera.
NOTE: If the dome cover is scratched, please contact the distributor for
replacement.
Applicable Types:
 General dome cover (speed domes, fixdomes and bullet models)
Cleaning Tools:
 Rubber air blower or air gun with air compressor
 Alcohol prep pad
 Rubber gloves
 Microfiber high performance cloth
 Pre-diluted detergent (10ml of detergent with 1L of water)
NOTE: Do NOT use other fabric or cloth, e.g. paper towels, to wipe the cover; it
may cause scratches on the dome surface while cleaning.
NOTE: It is strongly recommended to clean the dome cover wearing the rubber
gloves, for grease and sweat will leave on the dome cover.

Kinds of dirt and cleaning methods
According to different scenarios, ways to clean the dome surface will also vary.
Refer to the following to proceed.
Scenario 1:
Only little dirt or dust is attached to the dome surface.
Solution:
Put on the rubber gloves and simply use rubber air
blower or air gun with air compressor to blow off dirt
or dust.
Scenario 2:
There are fingerprints or light grease on the dome surface.
Solution:
Put on the rubber gloves. Gently wipe off the dirt
spot using alcohol prep pad.
Scenario 3:
There is a huge accumulation of dirt or grease on the dome surface.
Solution:
Put on the rubber gloves. Dampen the microfiber
cloth with pre-diluted detergent, gently wipe off the
grease.
Then rinse the dome surface with cold water and dry
it with a dry microfiber cloth.

3. PART NAMES
① Terminal connector
Connector for cable connection of digital input/output, audio input/output, and
DC12V power.
Refer to 5.CONNECTIONS for more information.
② LAN connector
RJ45 LAN connector for 10/100 Base-T Ethernet (PoE supported)
③ Reset button
Use the button to restart the device or to reset it to factory default. Refer to 6.3. Reboot and
6.4. Factory Default for more information.
④ microSD/SDHC card slot
SD card up to 32GB supported. Class 4 and higher recommended for HD recordings.
⑤ CDS Light Sensor
Used to detect the level of ambient light or the intensity of the light. The sensor should not be
blocked by a cable or any other objects.

4. INSTALLATION
4.1 Installing the camera
4.1.1. Installation without bracket

Installation template’s image size scale in this installation guide is not 1:1.
The correct-size template design paper can be found inside the package
separately.

To prevent products from damaging, place the camera on stable and non-vibrating surfac
es. If the stability is in doubt, consult with safety personnel for reinforcements, and then pr
oceed with the installation.
Use of ferrite core: Install the ferrite core to a LAN cable. This is highly recommended to
reduce HF noise level! Please follow these instructions:
1. Open the ferrite core by lifting the clip.
2. Make one loop with the cable through the ferrite core.
3. Close the ferrite core to hold the cable loop into its place.
Sealing gaps is highly recommended! Gaps may appear after installation. They can cause
water leakage or moisture inside the housing. Seal them with an appropriate material.
Make sure the ceiling is stable enough to support the camera. If this is in doubt, consult
safety personnel and proceed with installation.
1) Place the installation template (paper) that is
included in the package on the desired installation
surface.
2) Drill three holes in correct positions based on the
template paper, and insert anchor blocks into the
holes. If you need to insert cables through the
mounting surface, drill an adiitional hole into it, so that
the cable(s) can pass.
3) Place the waterproof silicon band on the bottom
plate of the device and make it align with screw holes.
4) Place the camera body to the installation surface
and match three alignment holes with three anchor
blocks. Then tighten the surface anchor studs.
5) Connect all the required cables to the camera.
6) Adjust the lens position. Detailed information can
be found in 4.2. Setting the Lens Position.
7) Place the dome cover on the main body of the
camera. Dome cover has three alignment holes that
match camera body’s alignment holes. Insert O-ring
gasket under each screw M4 x 30.
8) Once properly placed, insert screws into the three
holes of the body and tighten them up.

4.1. Setting the Lens Position
Instruction below describes how to set the lens positions and manually adjust zoom and focus.
First remove the dome cover.
The ambient light sensor should be uncovered for its normal operation.
Tighten the tilt stopper after the tilt angle is adjusted.
Do NOT continuously rotate the camera gimbal, because it is connected to the IR LED cable
inside the dome!
1. Panning Adjustment
1. Perform the panning adjustment by turning the
gimbal bracket horizontally either clockwise or
counter-clockwise.
2. Tilting Adjustment

2. Perform the tilting adjustment by moving the inner
liner vertically to upward or downward direction.
Then, tighten the screws on both sides of the
gimbal bracket to fix the tilt angle.
3. Horizontal rotation of lens

3. Rotate the inner liner clockwise or counter-clockwise
for the rotation of the lens.
*Please try not to leave fingerprints on the CDS light sensor.

4.2. Adjusting zoom and focus
To be able to adjust zoom and focus, it is necessary to connect the device to a network. Please
refer to 6.CONFIGURATION for the detailed method of network connection.
Once the device is on the network and the webpage is open, go to Setup> Video & Audio >
Zoom/Focus. Then, the features shown below will appear.
1. Adjust zoom and focus by clicking arrow buttons: the buttons move
the lens longer than the buttons .
2. Click One Click Focus to automatically set the lens focus.
3. If focus point is considered misaligned, reset it to a zero point by clicking Calibrate.

4.4. Setting the image attributes
On the camera’s webpage, users can configure image settings.
The camera image’s brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness are adjustable.
You find the settings under Setup > Video & Audio > Camera.
For more detailed information, refer to the webpage user’s manual.

5. CONNECTIONS
① Alarm (DO) connection
Only the relay type is supported.
Relay Rating: Max 24VDC 50mA
Do not exceed the maximum relay rating.
② Sensor (DI) connection
Sensor (DI) can be connected to either a voltage type sensor or a relay type sensor like the following
figures. Settings can be done through the camera’s webpage.
Input voltage range: 0 VDC minimum to 5 VDC maximum, max. 50 mA.
Input voltage threshold: 1,5 V
Do not exceed the maximum input voltage or relay rate.

Audio Connection
The camera provides a mono audio input and output. Due to low audio output power, an amplified
speaker is recommended for enhanced sound (Refrain from connecting a headphone or an
earphone directly to the camera).
- Microphone in: Max. 2 Vp-p, 20 KΩ (90 dB)
- Speaker out: 60 mW, 16 Ω (95 dB)

Power Connection
The camera can be powered from either 12 VDC or PoE. The connection via the terminal connector
is for 12 VDC power. To operate your camera using 12 VDC, make sure that the polarity is correct
before connecting the power cable. Incorrect connection may cause a damage to the device.
If the camera is powered via PoE, refer to Appendix (B): Power over Ethernet for more information.

LAN connection
The camera uses an RJ45 LAN connector for 10/100 Base-T Ethernet. Use the ethernet cable (RJ45)
to connect the device to a switch, hub or a router in the network. When the LAN cable is connected,
the orange LED light will become solid and green LED will blink every 250 milliseconds. Refer to
Appendix (B): Power over Ethernet for more infromation.
When the device is connected, the orange LED stays on while green LED continues to blink.

6. CONFIGURATION
6.1. Set up network environment
Be sure that the device and PC are on a same area network before running the installation.
6.1.1. Custom IP Environment
IPAdminTool is provided on attached CDRom.
IPAdminTool is a management tool, which automatically scans all of the network products for users
to perform administrative tasks, which includes network configurations, firmware update, device
reboot, and device organizations.
To modify the device’s default IP address for customized network area:
1. Find the device from the IPAdminTool’s list and highlight the device’s name.
2. Right-click the mouse and select “IP Address”; IP Setup window appears.
3. In the IP Setup’s window, information under ‘Local Network information’ displays the user/PC’s
network area information. Those information need to be incorporated to the IP Address, Subnet
Mask, Gateway, and DNS boxes, except the last 2 sets of IP Address, which are to be the unique
numbers for the device. Refer to the image above for the setting
4. Click ‘Setup’ to complete the modification.
5. Start the Microsoft® Internet Explorer web browser and enter the address of the device.
