Hasler Online Services simplify the use of your mailing system,
addvaluetoyourmailingoperation,andimprovetheproductivity
ofyourmailroom.YourWhisperJetmailingmachineisengineered
totakefulladvantageofallthefeaturesandcapabilitiesofOnline
Services,whichinclude(theseoptionsarenotallstandard):
-TotalManagement–Hasler’sexclusiveonlinereportingfeature
captures all of your monthly department and postal category
statistics in convenient reports, simplifying tracking and
management of your postage expenses.
-E-Services – Save money with USPS discounts on Delivery
and Signature Confirmation fees, and simplify the processing
ofsendingCertifiedMail. Monitordeliveryofallofyourtracked
mail from your Hasler web account.
-TotalProtection–Maintaincurrentpostalrateswithautomatic,
electronic, convenient downloads into your Hasler mailing
machine.NomorememorycardsandPROMsatratechange!
-Total Protection ink alert – Never run out of ink again! The
OnlineServermonitorsyourmailingmachine’sinksupplyande-
mailsan alert notificationwhenit’stimetore-order.
Yourmailing systemconnects to Hasler’sOnline Servervia the
same telephone connection you use to add postage to your
meter. All connections are secure, and all data is maintained
understrictprivacypolicies.
AsaHaslercustomer,youareentitledtoawebaccountaccessi-
blefromtheHaslerhomepage:http://www.haslerinc.com/. This
account provides information about your mailing system and
access to Hasler’s Online Services. See the Accessing Hasler
OnlineServicesontheWebsectionforinstructionsonloggingin
toyourwebaccount.
This user guide provides basic information about using Online
Services with your WJ185/220/250 mailing system.

2. CONNECTIONS TO THE HASLER ONLINE SERVER
Tofully benefit from the convenienceandpowerofHaslerOnline
Services,yourWJ185/220/250mailingsystemshouldbeconnected
toaliveanalogtelephonelinesothatitcanlinktotheHaslerOnline
Serverautomatically.
At a pre-set time (usually between midnight and 5:00 AM), your
WJ185/220/250 mailing system will initiate a call to the Hasler
OnlineServer.ForTotalManagementreports,theWJ185/220/250
mailingsystemautomaticallyconnectsatthecloseofeachmonth
touploaddepartment and postalcategorystatistics.For E-Servi-
ces,yourWJ185/220/250mailingsystemautomaticallyconnects
atnightifyouhaveprocessedtransactionsthatday.FortheTotal
Protection ink monitoring feature, your WJ185/220/250 mailing
systemautomaticallyconnectswhenit’stimetore-orderinksup-
plies.
First,themailingsysteminitializesthemodem.
The following will be displayed on you mailing system during the
automaticcallprocess:

Ifthecallfailsafter3attemptsanerrormessagewillbedisplayed
and you may re-attempt the call the next day. (See the Error
Messagesectionforadescriptionoffailedconnections.)Youcan
also connect to the Online Server manually. You can perform a
genericcall, oryoucan performa specific action,such asa rate
download, a software download, or data upload, etc. See the
appropriate section for details.
Itis strongly recommended that you leave the WJ185/220/
250mailingsystemturnedon,insleepmode,andconnected
to a live analog telephone line during the night, to let the
connectiontotheHaslerOnlineServeroccurautomatically.

GENERIC CALL: This menu is always present. It allows you to
connecttotheOnlineServerinordertoretrieveinformation(rate
or messages) or to set parameters (scale capacity, amount of
departments).Youwillbeinstructedtousethismenuduringarate
change.Youcanalsousethismenutotestyourphoneconnection
andsettings.
E-CONFUPLOAD:WillonlyappearifyouhavesubscribedtoE-
ServicesEdition(seesection6).Thismenuallowsyoutomanually
up-loadE-ServicesrecordstotheOnlineServer.
STATISTICS UPLOAD: This menu will only appear if you have
subscribed to the Total Solutions (see section 5). This menu
allowsyoutomanuallyuploadReportsdatatotheOnlineServer.
It also should be used before and after a department reset (see
section5.3)andbeforeasynchronizationcall(supervisormode).
DIAGNOSTIC: Visible in Supervisor mode only. Use this menu
wheninstructedbyacustomerservicerepresentative.

SERVERLOADING:VisibleinSupervisormodeonly.Thismenu
allowstheaccesstoalistofsoftwarecomponentstodownload(see
section7).
SYNCHRONIZATION: VisibleinSupervisormodeonly.Usethis
menu when instructed by customer service representative. In
particular, if you have subscribed to the Total Solutions
package you should perform a Statistic Upload call before
performing a Synchronization call.
In addition, a menu MAILBOX appearsif amessage wasposted
in your mailing system Operator mailbox or your mailing system
Supervisormailbox (seeexamples section 5or 7)
In Supervisor mode you can also access SETUP parameters by
pressingtheSETUPkey.UsethemenuGENERALSETUPtoadd
aPREFIXifyourphonesystemrequiresaprefix(generally0or9)
to access to an outside line.
IP SETUP menu should only be used when instructed by a
customer service representative.

9Accessing Hasler Online Services on the Web
3. ACCESSING HASLER ONLINE SERVICES ON THE
WEB
Online Service web access is included in the purchase of your
Hasler WJ185/220/250 mailing system. Set up your account to
viewinformationabout your mailingsystemandto access Total
ManagementandE-Servicestrackingreports(see section 3.1-
3.6).
After installation of your WJ185/220/250 mailing system, follow
theinstructions belowto set up your Hasler My Account user ID
andpassword.Thisprocesswilltakeafewminutes.Onceactivated,
youcanbegintouseyourOnlineServicesaccountimmediately.
3.1 Online Service Account Requirements
You will need the following information in order to register your
Online Services account.
- Your TMS account number
- Your Mailer Agreement number
Both the TMS Bank Account and Mailer Agreement numbers
will be provided to you at the time of your mailing system’s
installation.Ifthesenumbersaremisplaced,pleasecallHasler
Customer Service at [phone] to request assistance.
- A valid e-mail address and e-mail access
A valid e-mail address is required in order to use Online
Services, to receive Total Protection rate change notifications
and ink alerts, and to receive E-Services delivery alerts.
AusernameloginIDandpassword.
-The username login ID that you select is permanent. The
usernamemay consistof a-z, 0-9and underscorecharacters.
Your username is your login ID and cannot be changed once
selected.
- Your password must consist of six characters or more.
Capitalization matters!

Accessing Hasler Online Services on the Web
3.2 My Account Registration
GototheHaslerwebsitehomepage(www.haslerinc.com).
Click on the customer area link on the customers drop down
menu.
ClicktheMyAccountlinkontheleftmenubar.
In the Need an Account area on the My Account page, enter
yourTMSBankAccountandMailerAgreementnumbersintheir
respectivefields.Click on RegisterNow.
