Statement
1:
DANGER
Electrical
current
from
power,
telephone,
and
communication
cables
is
hazardous.
To
avoid
a
shock
hazard:
v
Do
not
connect
or
disconnect
any
cables
or
perform
installation,
maintenance,
or
reconfiguration
of
this
product
during
an
electrical
storm.
v
Connect
all
power
cords
to
a
properly
wired
and
grounded
electrical
outlet.
v
Connect
to
properly
wired
outlets
any
equipment
that
will
be
attached
to
this
product.
v
When
possible,
use
one
hand
only
to
connect
or
disconnect
signal
cables.
v
Never
turn
on
any
equipment
when
there
is
evidence
of
fire,
water,
or
structural
damage.
v
Disconnect
the
attached
power
cords,
telecommunications
systems,
networks,
and
modems
before
you
open
the
device
covers,
unless
instructed
otherwise
in
the
installation
and
configuration
procedures.

Connect
and
disconnect
cables
as
described
in
the
following
table
when
installing,
moving,
or
opening
covers
on
this
product
or
attached
devices.

equivalent
type
battery
recommended
by
the
manufacturer.

your
system

a
module
containing
a
lithium
battery,
replace
it
only

same
module
type
made
by
the
same
manufacturer.
The
battery
contains
lithium
and
can
explode
if
not
properly
used,
handled,
or
disposed

management
module

one

two
management
modules
that
can
be
installed
in
the
IBM
Eserver
BladeCenter
T
Type
8720
or
8730
enclosure.
Only
one
management
module
can
be
active;
the
second
management
module,
if
present,
provides
redundancy.
You

service
processor
for

multiple
blade
servers

a

You
configure

BladeCenter
T
unit
and
modules
through

management
module,
configuring
information
such
as
the
management-module
and
I/O-module
IP
addresses.
The
management
module
also
performs
USB-to-PS/2
®
conversions
for
the
system
keyboard
and
mouse
and
can
send
the
VGA
data
stream
to
a
remote
console
for
viewing.

service
processor
in
the
management
module
communicates
with
the
service
processor
in
each
blade
server
for
functions
such

requests
for
CD-ROM
drive
and
USB

addition

blade

management
module

communicates

the
I/O
modules,
power

blower

unit

detect
their
presence
or
absence
and
any
error
conditions,
sending
alerts
when
required.
