GENERAL INFORMATION
The floor media kit is used to give a more natural appearance to the
fireplace floor where the gas log set is installed.
READ ALL THE STEPS BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION
THE APPLIANCE MUST BE OFF AND COLD BEFORE BEGINNING.
ALL WARNINGS, PRECAUTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS IN THE
INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MANUAL PROVIDED WITH THE
APPLIANCE APPLY TO THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
If you encounter any problems, need clarification of these instructions
or are not qualified to properly install this kit, contact you local
distributor or dealer.
If any of these parts are missing or damaged, contact your dealer or
IHP.us.com for referral information.
KIT CONTENTS
9 ea. Fiber Log Pieces
1 ea. Volcanic Stone
1 ea. Ember Material
1 ea. Instruction Sheet
WARNING
•Make sure the unit is turned off and cool before
adding floor media material to fireplace floor.
•Do not add extra logs or ornaments such as pine
cones, vermiculite or glowing embers (rockwool).
Using these added items can cause sooting. Use
only the material included in this kit.
•Do not place volcanic stone, embers or fiber log
pieces on logs or burners. This may cause sooting.

INSTALLING FLOOR MEDIA KIT
1. Place decorative log pieces randomly as desired on fireplace hearth.
Place volcanic stone around base of unit making sure the burner
ports and valve access are not blocked (see Figure 2). Retain a
small amount of volcanic stone to be used in step 4.

3. Place fiber log pieces randomly on volcanic stone and ember mate-
rial around unit (see Figure 4).
2. Place ember material around front and sides of unit close to (but
NOT on) he burner (see Figure 3). Embers will "glow" when heated
to enhance the realistic look of your log set.
4. Use remaining volcanic stone to blend the floor media together.
Your finished effect should resemble Figure 5.
