left side panels

Visually inspect the console for
damage which would effect the
normal function of the system
including:
All covers and panels
Casters (including locks)
Membrane panels
Switches
Moving parts
Footswitch
All cables

Visually inspect the console
wiring looms and connectors
to ensure:
Firm connections
Undamaged

Visually inspect the PCB
potentiometers to ensure:
All are paint lock and
undamaged
The only exceptions are
potentiometers used for
adjust when carrying out
these tests

4.1 Alarm tests

With the console set up and operating
in the STANDBY state press the TEST
button on the display and check:
All amplitude indicators illuminate for
approximately 4 seconds
Check no Alarms have been activated

With the console set up and operating
in the RUN state set the amplitude to
100% and tissue select to STD check:
All amplitude indicators illuminate
while the amplitude pedal on the
footswitch is pressed
Check no Alarms have been activated

With the console set up and operating
in the STANDBY or RUN state
disconnect the footswitch Plug from
the console and check:
The warning triangle and the footswitch
alarm indicator is active and the alarm
tone can he heard
Reconnect the footswitch and check:
The warning alarms visual and audio
cancel and the console footswitch
functions are normal

With the console set up and operating
in the RUN state loosen the hand piece
tip and set the amplitude to 10% then
press the amplitude pedal on the
footswitch and check:
The warning triangle and the tip alarm
indicator is active and the alarm tone
can he heard
Retighten the tip and check:
The warning alarms visual and audio
cancel and the hand piece functions
normally

With the console set up and operating in
the RUN state disconnect the cooling
reservoir from the console and check:
The warning triangle and cooling alarm
indicator and the alarm tone can he heard
after approximately 30 seconds
Reconnect the reservoir and check:
The warning alarms visual and audio
cancel after approximately 30 seconds and
the console functions normally
Paper towels will be required to mop up
cooling water returning to the reservoir

With the console set up and operating
in the RUN or STASNDBY states
disconnect the hand piece plug from
the console and check:
The warning triangle and hand piece
alarm indicator and the alarm tone can
he heard
Reconnect the reservoir and check:
The warning alarms visual and audio
cancel
Note the console will restart and run
through the pre-set start up sequence

Stopped
Standby state =
≥1520 RPM
Run state =
3200 RPM ±100

On the suction pump motor controller
adjust potentiometer R18 (R12 on older
PCB’s) For the correct speed with the
console in the RUN state
DO NOT adjust the other potentiometers

With a tachometer measure the speed
of the following motors
Cooling Prime =
138±2 RPM
Standby State =
61-68 RPM
Run State =
61-68 RPM

On the cooling pump motor
controller
Adjust potentiometer R2 for the
correct motor speed
DO NOT adjust the other
potentiometers
