Douglas A-1H Skyraider
The Douglas Skyraider was manufactured immediately after War World II. Despite its
traditional piston motor, in an age when jets were spreading, the Skyraider had an
extraordinary long career. It made its first flight in 1945 and it was retired from service
only in 1975. It has participated to several conflicts, demonstrating its value in Korea
and in Vietnam. Characterised by low speed manoeuvrability, it was able to transport
impressive war cargos of over 3,500Kg. Perfect for ground attack missions, it was
provided with robust armour to minimise fire damages from the enemy. The Skyrider
A-1H, thanks to its powerful 2,700 HP radial engine, was able to reach the max speed
of 322 mph and it was able to load an impressive variety of armaments. Further more
it was equipped with four 20 mm. guns.

Le modèle Douglas Skyraider fut réalisé tout de suite après la deuxième guerre
mondiale. Malgré son moteur traditionnel à pistons, conçu alors que se diffusaient déjà
les premiers jets, le Skyraider a connue une longévité opérationnelle extraordinaire.
Le premier vol fut effectué en 1945, et ce n’est qu’en 1975 qu'il fut retiré du service
actif. Il a participé à de nombreux conflits en démontrant toute sa valeur en Corée et
au Vietnam. Caractérisé par une grande manœuvrabilité à basse vitesse, il était doté
d’une capacité d’emport d’armes impressionnante, de plus de 3 500 kg. Optimisé pour
les missions d'attaque au sol, il était équipé d'un blindage solide pour minimiser les
dommages causés par l'artillerie ennemie au sol. Grâce à son puissant moteur radial
de 2 700 HP, le Skyrider A-1H pouvait voler à 322 mph et transporter une grande variété
d'armement. Il était en outre armé de 4 canons de 20 mm.
Il Douglas Skyraider venne realizzato subito dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale.
Nonostante il suo motore tradizionale a pistoni, nato quando già si diffondevano i primi
jet, lo Skyraider ha avuto una straordinaria longevità operativa. Il primo volo venne
effettuato nel 1945 e venne ritirato dal servizio attivo solo nel 1975. Ha partecipato a
numerosi conflitti dimostrando la sua validità in Corea ed in Vietnam. Caratterizzato da
una grande manovrabilità a bassa velocità, era in grado di trasportare un impressionante
carico bellico superiore ai 3.500 Kg. Ottimizzato per le missioni di attacco al suolo era
dotato di una robusta corazzatura per minimizzare i danni del fuoco nemico da terra. Lo
Skyrider A-1H, grazie al suo potente motore radiale da 2.700 HP, poteva volare a 322
mph e trasportare una grande varietà di armamento. Era inoltre armato con 4 cannoni
da 20mm.

Die Douglas Skyraider wurde unmittelbar nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg gebaut. In
Dienst gestellt, als bereits die ersten Jets verbreitet waren, hatte die Skyraider trotz
ihres traditionellen Kolbenmotors eine außerordentliche operative Lebensdauer. Der
erste Flug erfolgte im Jahr 1945, und sie wurde erst 1975 aus dem aktiven Dienst
genommen. Sie nahm an zahlreichen Auseinandersetzungen teil und bewährte
sich in Korea und Vietnam. Gekennzeichnet durch eine hohe Manövrierfähigkeit bei
niedriger Geschwindigkeit, konnte sie eine beeindruckende Waffenlast von mehr als
3.500 kg transportieren. Für die Angriffseinsätze am Boden optimiert, verfügte sie
über eine starke Panzerung, um die Schäden des feindlichen Feuers vom Boden zu
minimieren. Die Skyraider A-1H konnte dank ihres leistungsstarken Sternmotors mit
2.700 PS mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 322 Meilen pro Stunde fliegen und eine große
Anzahl unterschiedlicher Bewaffnungen transportieren. Sie war außerdem mit vier
20-mm-Kanonen bewaffnet

Mundial. A pesar de su motor tradicional de pistones, creado cuando ya se difundían
los primeros jet, el Skyraider tuvo una longevidad operativa extraordinaria. El primer
vuelo se efectuó en 1945 y no fue retirado del servicio activo hasta 1975. Participó
en numerosos conflictos, demostrando su validez en Corea y en Vietnam. Caracterizado
por una gran capacidad de maniobra a baja velocidad, era capaz de transportar una
impresionante carga bélica superior a los 3.500 kg. Optimizado para las misiones de

a tierra. Gracias a su potente motor radial de 2.700 HP, el Skyrider A-1H podía volar a

ATTENTION - Useful advice!
Study the instructions carefully prior to assembly.Remove parts from frame with a sharp knife or a pair of scissor and trim away excess plastic.
Do not pull ol parts.Assemble the parts in numerical sequence. Use plastlc cement ONLY and use cement sparingly to avoid damaging the
model. Black arrows indicate parts to be glued together.White arrows indicate on which frame the parts must be assembledWITHOUT using
cement. These letters (A - B - C…) indicate on which frame the parts will be found. Paint small parts before detaching them from frame.
Remove paint where parts are to be cemented. Crossed out parts must not be used.
ATTENZIONE - Consigli utili!
Prima di iniziare il montaggio studiare attentamente il disegno. Staccare con molta cura i pezzi dalle stampate, usando un taglia-balsa
oppure un paio di forbici e togliere con una piccola lima o con carta vetro fine eventuali sbavature. Mai staccare i pezzl con le mani.Montarli
seguendo l’ordine delle numerazione delle tavole.Eliminare dalla stampata il numero del pezzo appena montato facendogli sopra una croce.
Le frecce nere indicano i pezzi da incollare, le frecce bianche indicano i pezzi da montare senza colla.Usare solo colla per polistirolo.Le lettere
(A - B - C…) ai lati dei numeri indicano la stampata ove si trova il pezzo da montare. I pezzl sbarrati da una croce non sono da utilizzare.
ACHTUNG - Ein nützlicher Rat!
Vor der Montage die Zeichnung aufmerksam studieren. Die einzeinen Montageteile mit einem Messer oder einer Schere vom Spritzling
sorfälling entfernen. Eventuelle Grate werden mit eicer Klinge oder feinem Schmirgelpapier beseitigt. Keinesfalls die Montageteile mit den
Händen entfernen. Bei der Montage derTafelnumerieung folgen. Pfeile zeigen die zu klebenden Teile während die weissen Pfeile die ohne Leim
zu montierendenTeile anzeigen.Bitte nur Plastikklebstoff verwenden.Die Buchstaben (A - B - C…) neben den Nummeren zeigt,auf welchem
Spritzling der zu montierende Tèil zu finden ist. Die mit einem Kreuz markiertenTeile sind nicht zu verwenden.
ATTENTION - Conseils utiles!
Avant de commencer le montage,étudier attentivement le dessin. Détacher avec beacoup de soin les morceaux des moules en usant un
massicot ou bien un pair de cisaux et couper avec une petite lame avec de papier de vitre fin ébarbagés eventuels. Jamais détacher les
morceaux avec le mains Monter les en suivant l’ordre de la numération des tables.Eliminer de la moule le numéro de la pièce qui vient d’être
montée,en le biffant avec une croix. Les fléches noires indiquent les pièces à coller,les fléches blanches indiquent les pièces à monter sans
colle. Employer seulement de la colle pour polystirol. Les lettres (A - B - C…) aux côtés des numéros indiquent la moule où se trouve la
pièces a monter. Les pièces marquèes par une croix ne sont pas a utiliser.
ATENCION - Consejos útiles!
Estudiar las instrucciones cuidadosamente antes de comenzar el montaje. Separar las piezas de las bandejas con un
cuchillo afilado o un par de tijeras y retirar el exceso de plástico o rebada. No arrancar las piezes. Montar las piezas en
orden numérico. Utilizar SOLAMENTE pegamento para plástico y en poca cantidad para evitar que se dane el modelo.
Las flechas negras indican las piezas que se deben pegar juntas. Las flechas blancas indican las piezas que deben
ensamblarse SIN usar pegamento. Las letras (A - B - C…) indican en que bándeja se encuentran las piezas. Pintar las
piezas pequeñas antes de separarlas de la bandeja. Retirar la pintura de los lugares por donde se deban pegar las piezas.

