Arm:
To arm all sensors in STAY mode when you are not leaving the premises, press the [Doors &
Windows] button once.
To arm all sensors in AWAY mode when you are leaving the premises, press the [Doors &
Windows] and the [Arm Motion Sensors] buttons once.

To disarm, press the [Disarm] button once + your [security code].

Battery
The Simon Version21 operates on the 7.2V Battery Pack.
Loss of AC power and use of backup battery power is indicated by No AC.
A low battery condition is indicated by Low Bat.

Bypass Protected Areas
Bypassing a zone allows you to arm your system with certain protected areas intentionally unarmed or to
access a protected area when the system is armed.
To bypass a zone, open the door or window you want to bypass and keep it open during the
arming process.
Press the [Arm Doors & Windows] button. The system will announce that a sensor is open. Press
the [Arm Doors & Windows] button again to bypass those zones left open.
To unbypass, press [DISARM] + [security code].

Change Date and Time
To change the date and time settings:
Enter your [security code].
Select [CLOCK SET] from the Start menu.
To change the clock settings, press and hold the [Hours] button.
Use the [+] and [-] keys to find and select the desired hour.
Use the [+] and [-] keys to find and select the desired minutes.
Press the [Done] button to set the time and exit the menu.
Chimes and Beeps
When your system is in chime mode, a chime alert will sound three tones whenever a protected
door/window is opened.

To turn chime mode on and off, press the [CHIME Doors] button.
To turn voice chime on enter your [Access Code].
Select [Add] from the Start menu.
Select [Option #].
Select option [41], then select [Done] to turn the voice chime on.
The turn voice chime off, enter your [Access Code].
Select [Option #].
Select [Delete] from the Status menu.
Select option [41], then select [Done] to turn the voice chime off.

Reset
To clear the display after an alarm event, press the [DISARM] button twice.
Security Codes
You can program up to 5 users. All additional users can arm and disarm the system, but cannot access
certain programming functions.
To add a new user, enter the [Master code] and select [Add] from the Start menu.
Select [Access Code] from the Main menu.
When the system prompts the user to change the Master Code, select [Access Code] to access
secondary user codes.
When the desired access code is announced, select [DONE].
Enter the new user’s 4 digit code.
To continue adding codes, select [Access Code].
To finish, close the keypad cover.
To delete a user, enter the [Master Code].
Select [Delete] from the Start menu.
Select [Access Code] from the Main menu.
When the system prompts the user to change the Master Code, select [Access Code] to access
secondary user codes.
When the desired access code is announced, select [DONE].
You may be required to enter to re-enter the Master Code.
To finish, close the keypad cover.

Trouble Conditions
Your security system is able to automatically test itself for power failures, low batteries, nonworking
sensors, and communication troubles with the central monitoring station. When your security system
detects a trouble condition, six rapid beeps will sound every minute for four hours until the trouble
condition is corrected.
To silence trouble beeps, press [STATUS] or arm/disarm the system.

Volume
The speaker volume can be adjusted. To adjust the speaker volume:
Enter your [Access Code].
Select [Add] from the Start menu.
Select [Option #].
Select option [42] and follow the voice prompts to set the volume to high or low.
