6. FITTING & SIZING: Follow Step 1 to Step 2 to use the Mini Block.
STEP 1: The Mini Block has a loop at one end while a metallic eye at the other
end. Connect the metallic eye to the Anchorage Point of the fall
arrest system by using a connector. Only oval karabiner according
to EN 362, clause 3.1.7 shall be used as connectors.
STEP 2: As in step 1, connect the loop of the Mini Block to the Full Body
Harness of the user at its attachment element.
The correct way of using the Mini Block is only when the anchorage
point is situated above the user's head. Care should be taken that
the anchorage point, as far as possible, is in the same vertical line in
which the attachment element of the user's harness is.
7. INSTRUCTIONS TO BE FOLLOWED BEFORE USE: Inspect the Mini Block for
any rupture or damage of the webbing. Particularly the stitching of the webbing
at the ends should be intact. There should not be any cuts or abrasion marks on
the webbing of the Mini Block.
Ensure the compliance with recommendations for use as applicable to the
combination with other components of the fall arrest system, and specified on
the identification card for the fall arrest system or component concerned. Make
sure that the connector used (karabiner) is correctly attached to the loop and
that it is locked and conforms to required norm.
A rescue plan needs to be evolved, before the product is to be used.
8. WARNING: Do not use the Mini Block as a fall arrest component directly. It is to
be used only as a connecting element.
In case of any doubt arising about the safety of the Mini Block, it should be
replaced immediately on consultation with an expert.
Withdraw from use any Mini Block that has been used to arrest a fall.
Ensure the Medical condition of the user does not affect his safety in normal and emergency use.
A rescue plan shall be in place to deal with any emergencies that could arise during the work.
It is essential for the safety of the user that if a product is re-sold outside the original country of destination the reseller
shall provide instructions for use for maintenance, for periodic examination and for repair in the language of the
country in which the product is sold.
The equipment shall not be used outside its limitation, or for any purpose other than that for which it is intended.
The device should be used with appropriate combinations only. The user should not make any combination which
compromises safe function of any other devices used in combination or entire fall protection system or rescue system.
9. PROTECTION AGAINST HAZARDS DURING USE: While using the Mini Block as a connecting element, make sure that it
is not positioned in such a way that the user trips over it.
While using the Mini Block, any sharp metallic object near it can cause abrasion and destroy the Mini Block.
10. COMPATIBILITY: To optimise protection, in some instances it may be necessary to use the Mini Blockwith suitable PPE
such as: boots/gloves/helmet and ear protection. In this case, before carrying out the risk-related activity, consult your
supplier to ensure that all your protective products are compatible and suitable for your application.
11. STORAGE AND TRANSPORT: When not in use, store the Mini Block in a well-ventilated area away from extremes of
temperature. Never place heavy items on top of it. If possible, avoid excessive folding and preferably store it hanging
vertically. If the product is wet, allow it to dry fully before placing it into storage.
