IRSQ EASY SEAT

Please read and understand the manufacturer's instructions for each component or part of the complete system.
Manufacturer's instructions must be followed for proper use, care, and maintenance of this product. These instructions must
be retained and be kept available for the user's reference at all times. Alterations or misuse of this product, or failure to follow
instructions, may result in serious injury or death.
Note: The user is advised to keep this user instructions document for the life of the product.
1. INTRODUCTION: The IRSQ Suspension seat is suitable to be used with KStrong's Climbing, Wind Energy and Work
Positioning harnesses. It easily connects to your harness and provides more comfort when hanging in the harness. Its wide
sitting area ensures good stability and the suspension straps are designed so as to not press on the user's thighs.
2. APPLICATION:
ŸProvides a comfortable seating for extended time
during long hours of work, suspended at a height.
ŸThe easy seat must be used as part of a Fall Arrest or
Rope Access Complete System and necessarily
associated with a fall arrest system as defined in the
product data sheet (EN 363).
ŸA fall arrest harness (EN 361) is the only body gripping
device that may be used. It may be dangerous to create
one's own fall arrest system where each safety function
can interfere with another safety function.
3. INSPECTION:
ŸVisually inspect the system before each use to ensure
that it is in a serviceable condition and is operating
correctly.
ŸIf during inspection, doubts are raised about the safety
of the system or a component, these should be replaced either by the manufacturer or a competent person.
ŸA formal inspection of fall protection products/components must be performed preferably every six months or at least
annually by a competent person other than the user.
ŸThe frequency of formal inspections should be based on conditions of use or exposure. Record the inspection
results in the inspection and maintenance log at the end of this manual.
ŸThe component should be checked for Cut, Frayed, Heavily Soiled, welding burns etc. Metal parts like D-rings
should be duly check for the crack, bent, deformities, corrosion etc.
4. PRECAUTIONS:
ŸEnsure the Medical condition of the user does not affect his safety in normal and emergency use.
ŸThe equipment shall only be used by a person trained and competent in its safe use.
ŸThe easy seat should not be re-used in the event of deformation or doubt.
ŸDo not remove, add or replace any component of the easy seat.
ŸA rescue plan shall be in place to deal with any emergencies that could arise during the work.
ŸEnsure that the anchor is installed directly above the user's head.
ŸEnsure that the equipment is compatible with other items when assembled into a system.
ŸIt is essential to verify free space required beneath the user at work place before each occasion of use so that in case
of a fall there will be no collision with ground or other obstacle in the fall path.

5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Setting Up for Suspension Harnesses :
ŸFix the two end loops on the harness ventral point using 2 connectors. The easy seat should be always connected to
the harness; it must never be connected directly on the rope access system.
ŸAdjust the straps on the sides making sure that the
adjustment buckles are positioned in the same way on both
sides; this guarantees a good balance of the easy seat.
ŸWhen you do not use the easy seat any more (running
position), you should raise and hang it to a tool holder D-Ring
of the belt of the suspension harness using a connector.
ŸThe attachment D-Rings of the easy seat allow you to hang a
maximum load of 20 kgs on each one. Be careful to balance
the loads hung on the easy seat during the suspension work;
this guarantees a good balance of the easy seat.
ŸDuring the suspension work, check regularly the adjustment
buckles of the easy seat and the connectors locking on the
ventral point of the harness.
ŸADJUSTMENT OF THE STRAPS:
Ÿ Long adjustment:
ŸThe sitting position is more stable but, as the descender
position is higher, the rope climbing is less efficient.
ŸShort adjustment:
ŸIt is important to find the adjustment that will bring you
enough comfort but, as the descender position is lower,
the rope climbing is more efficient.
ŸIn all cases, make sure you have a body position at 90º
to ensure you a good balance during the suspension
work.
ŸThe rope work techniques are dangerous, only the
learning of adequate techniques and safety measures
can guarantee to you a good use of these materials.
Warning! Under no circumstances may this easy
seat be considered as a fall arrest device.
Important Instructions:
ŸCheck that work can be carried out so as to limit the pendulum
effect, the risk and height of a fall. For safety reasons before
each use, make sure that no obstacle can prevent the device
unwinding normally in the event of a fall (free space under the
user's feet).
ŸBefore and during use, we recommend that you take every
precaution necessary for an eventual safe rescue. This
equipment is for the sole use of people trained, skilled and in
good health, or under the supervision of a trained and skilled
person.
SETTING UP THE SEAT
Attach the seat to the harness by connecting 2 karabiners
to the ventral D-Ring
Adjust the straps as per the required size

sit comfortably while suspended.

Note: It is recommended to maintain a body position at 90º to ensure the right
balance during the suspension work.
While suspension work, regularly check the adjustment buckles of the easy seat
and the connectors locking on the ventral point of the harness.

6. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
ŸBelt material: polyester and/or polyamide.
ŸBuckle material: heat treated steel, stainless steel and/or aluminium.
ŸStatic strength between the two attachment points: 250 Kgs.
7. LIMITATIONS:
ŸIt should be the personal property of its user.
ŸIt should not be used in highly acid or basic environment.
ŸIt is essential for the safety of user that if the product is resold outside the original country of destination, the reseller
shall provide instruction for use, maintenance, for periodic examination and for repair in the language of the country in
which product is to be used.
8. REPAIR: If the product becomes damaged, it will NOT provide the optimum level of protection, and therefore must be
immediately removed from service. Never use the damaged product. Repair is permitted, provided that it is either done by
the manufacturer or a competent repair center or individual approved by the manufacturer.
9. WITHDRAWAL FROM USE: If the system has been used to arrest a fall, it should be removed from service and returned to
the manufacturer or a competent repair center for servicing and re test.

10. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:
ŸIn case of minor soiling, wipe the easy seat with cotton cloth or a soft brush.
ŸDo not use any abrasive material.
ŸFor intensive cleaning wash them in water at a temperature not more than 30ºC using a neutral detergent (pH7).
ŸDo not use acidic or basic detergents.
ŸThe easy seat should be allowed to dry by itself and be kept away from open fire or any other source of heat.
ŸAvoid direct sunlight.
ŸThe easy seat should be stored in dry not too hot rooms, kept away from heaters and corrosive substances and
protected against direct sunlight.
11. STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION:
ŸDuring transport, keep the easy seat in its packaging, well away from any cutting surface.
ŸClean it with water and soap, wipe it with a dry rag and hang it up in a well-ventilated location, to let it dry naturally and
away from a naked flame or heat source; follow the same procedure for components that have become damp during
use.
ŸThe metal parts should be wiped with a cloth impregnated with paraffin oil.
ŸNever use bleach or detergents.
ŸThe easy seat should be stored in its packaging in a warm, dry, ventilated place, protected from sunlight, heat and
chemicals.
13. WARNING: Do not make any alteration or additions to the equipment without the manufacturer's prior written consent and
repair shall only be carried out by personnel trained by the manufacturer and duly authorized by him.
12. HOW TO DISPOSE AN EASY SEAT: When the easy seat becomes unfit or in case of any wear and tear, dispose it
immediately.
Follow below steps for disposal of Easy Seat:
–Segregate the equipment in three different crates for placing components in them respectively as- Textile,
Metal and Plastic.
–Hold the Easy Seat at eye level and inspect for damages.
–Now, using a sharp pair of scissors first cut the textile and dismantle the equipment.
–Now remove the metal and plastic components separately from the equipment.
–Put the textile, plastic and metal components in their respective plastic crates.
–Send the dismanteled product for recycling.

reduce the Lifespan of the product: intense use, contact with chemical substances, specially aggressive
environments, extreme temperature exposure, UV exposure, abrasions, cuts, violent impacts, bad use or
maintenance.
