STEP 2 Remove the stock rear footpegs and mounting clevises.
STEP 3 Determine the retractable peg assembly orientation. While the two sides appear
identical, the difference is in the anti-rotation arm, or the “caps” that cover the
ends of the bike’s swing arm pivot shaft. The thick or deep “cap” covers the pivot
shaft NUT on the left side of the bike. The thinner or shallow “cap” covers the pivot
shaft hex head on the right side of the bike. PIC.1 shows the right, or exhaust side
orientation
STEP 4 EVOLUTION MODELS ONLY:
Place the bolt head shims on the RIGHT SIDE swing arm pivot bolt as in PIC.2.
Place the circular reducer inserts in the footpeg mounting holes as shown in PIC.2
and PIC.3.
STEP 5 Place each assembly on the bike so the anti-rotation arms cover the ends of the
swingarm pivot bolts and the mounting holes line up with the mounting holes in
the frame. If the bike is equipped with stock saddlebags, remove the stock rubber
isolated support strap and replace it with the supplied relocation bracket. Position
the saddlebag support relocation brackets as shown in PIC.4. Secure the
retractable peg assembly with the 3/8"–16 x 1-1/4” socket head caps screws, flat
washers and Nylock nuts provided.
ATTENTION! It s the nstaller’s respons b l ty to ensure that all of the fasteners
( nclud ng pre-assembled) are t ghtened before operat on of the
motorcycle. Küryakyn w ll not ssue a warranty on components lost due to
mproper nstallat on. Per od c ma ntenance may be requ red.
STEP 6 Attach the lower front saddlebag mount to the relocation bracket with the
5/16”–18 x 1" B.S.C.S., two flat washers, and acorn nut as shown in PIC.5.
STEP 7 Affix the footpeg of your choice to the foot peg clevises using the 3/8”–16 x 1”
Socket Heads and D-washers provided.
STEP 8 See PIC.6. Lift up on the finger hold and swing the arm to the position that suits
your passenger, then let go of the finger hold and move the arm until it locks into
place.
CAUTION! Do not use the peg on the swinging arm as a step!
STEP 9 Double check the tightness of all fasteners, and re-check periodically.
ATTENTION! It s the nstaller’s respons b l ty to
ensure that all of the fasteners
( nclud ng pre-assembled) are
t ghtened before operat on of the
motorcycle. Küryakyn w ll not ssue a
