This is an on-premise system use to increase efficiency by alerting Guest of table availability. The pagers
use with the system can flash, vibrate, an beep. The pager response mo e is set by the keypa .
NOTICE: Operation is subject to the following:
• This evice may not cause interference
• This evice will accept any interference inclu ing interference that may cause un esire oper-
ation of the unit.

Basic I stallatio a d Setup
Hardware Provided
Each transmitter kit contains the transmitter keypa , an Instruction booklet, an antenna, a name panel, an
one 10VAC 1.5A power a apter.
Installation Procedure
The following is the basic installation proce ure
CAUTION::
•
Do not connect any other evices to the keypa . The keypa requires a separate power supply.
•
Mounting the keypa antenna near any large metal objects will egra e the operating range
NOTE: The keypa shoul be charging whenever not in use.
1. Unwrap all transmitter components.
2. Locate the silver connector in the top of the keypa . Twist the antenna (about 3" long) onto con-
nector.
3. Plug the power supply into stan ar 110V outlet an the barrel connector en into either of the
si e holes on the transmitter.
4. Press (hol for 5 secon s) an release the power-reset button locate on the si e of the trans-
mitter unit. The keypa isplay will light.
5. Within 5-10 secon s, the isplay light will isappear signifying the transmitter is charging (the
screen will be blank).
6. Upon completion of setup, allow the transmitter to fully charge for at least 12 hours before use.
Be sure that pagers are also full charge .
Keypad Functions
Before using the keypa , rea the following key escriptions:
Function Keys:
The function keys are locate on the last row of the transmit-
ter keypa .
PGR – Use when entering pager numbers
above 12.
0– Use when entering pager numbers above
12 that contain a zero an when calling all
pagers at once.
PROG – Use to alter messaging mo es an to
check the battery level.
ENTER – After entering pager numbers above 12,
press ENTER to sen the page.
Number Keys
The number keys 1 through 12 are “one touch” keys
to instantly page pagers 1 – 12.

Basic Pagi g Operatio s
The T95xx is shippe set for use in the most commonly use configuration.
Pa in
1. For pager 1 – 12, press the pager number an the unit pages automatically.
2. For pagers 13 an higher:
• Press PGR
• Enter the pager number (using the 1 – 9 keys an the 0 key)
• Press the Enter key.
Pa e All Call
If all pagers nee to be calle at once,
• Press PGR
• Press 0 0 0
• Press the Enter key.
Check the Battery level
If operating on battery power, isconnect the transmitter from the a apter an press Prog-Enter. The unit will
show a number from 0 to 5
• If the unit shows 4 or above the charge is a equate for normal use
• If the unit shows 3, it is ok for short term use (1 or 2 hours)
• If the unit shows 2 or less (inclu ing blank) it must be recharge before use.
FEATURE SETUP PROCEDURES
The following functions change or reset the keypa to/from factory efaults.
Settin the Pa er Response Mode
How long a pager will vibrate an flash when page can be set. To test the mo e, page a pager an ensure
the pager flashes the amount of time set. To set:
• 1 secon flash/vibrate, press Prog-9-2-1-Enter.
• 30 secon flash/vibrate, press Prog-9-2-2-Enter.
• 5 minute secon flash/vibrate ( efault), press Prog-9-2-3-Enter.

Battery Char e
If the battery is completely ischarge , perform the following proce ure.
• Plug in the charging unit.
• After one minute press an release the reset button on the si e of the keypa .
• Note that the light on the isplay goes out within 10 secon s.
• Allow the keypa to charge at least 12 hours.
• Reset an check the battery level.
Ran e Test
To etermine the effective range of the T95xx, enable the range test function.
• Press Prog-9-1-2-Enter.
• When the “0” begins scrolling across the screen, pagers (not on chargers) will vibrate 1 time
every 5 secon s as long as they are receiving the signal.
• Take a pager an walk aroun the area to verify the pagers operate in all areas.
Reset
If the keypa has been completely ischarge , it may require a reset before operating properly. To reset the
keypa to factory efault, press Prog-0-0-0-Enter. Note that Restaurant ID an vibration mo e will be reset
with this function an must be re one.
Set Restaurant ID
The restaurant ID is factory efaulte to ID=0. This woul be use except in cases where neighboring es-
tablishments both use LRS systems an woul interfere with each other. To change the ID, press Prog-9-
0-X-Enter for ID=X (X= 0 – 9).

Pager Programmi g
Only LRS’s Star Pagers can be reprogramme from the T9550 LCK transmitter. If you woul like to assign
or reassign numbers to pagers, contact LRS to verify your restaurant ID before procee ing.
The followin is the basic procedure for pro rammin pa ers:
1. Be sure to set the LCK for the restaurant ID in use.
2. Remove the pager from the charger an wait until it stops vibrating. (Note: remove only one pager
at a time uring programming)
3. Press Prog-#-Prog (# is the pager number (1 through 899).
4. After the pager oes one glow mo e cycle, page it to ensure it programme okay.

Troubleshooti g
Transmitter Unit
Keypad Display Does Not Li ht When A Key Is Pressed
• Begin a battery charge proce ure (page 5) an check after 30-minutes.
• If the unit still is blank, check the charging power by substituting it with the charging supply
use for the pagers.
• If the supply is goo , call LRS
• If the supply is ba , replacements are sometimes available at local electronics stores. The min-
imum requirement is 10VAC @ 1000mA.
Display Is Okay, But the Pa er Does Not Receive the Pa e.
• Do a system reset.
• If the page still oesn’t work, check the Restaurant ID (see page 5).
• Call LRS.
Pa ers
Pa er Char e Li hts Do Not Come On
1. When place in charger, o all pagers have a single re charge light lit up?
• If no pagers have a charge light, skip to 2.
• If only some pagers have a charge light that is lit, skip to 3
• If all pagers have the charge light lit up, then skip to 4 or 5.
2. You have probably blown the power supply.
3. Please remember that only 30 pagers can be on one 10V power supply. If you have more than 30
pagers, you shoul either purchase another 10V power supply (call Long Range Systems)
4. You probably have a jumper wire that is not connecte . Look on the si e of your chargers an ver-
ify all wires are connecte properly. If they are connecte , then you may have irty pager contacts.
Using a amp rag, clean the 2 metal contacts on the back of each pager.
5. The cleaning crew may be isconnecting the pagers after hours. You may also have the pagers
on a circuit that automatically shuts off after hours. Please be sure that all pagers are plugge in
an charging when not in use.
