Informationen zum Vorbild
Seit 1974 wird die Baureihe 111 als moderne Weiterent-
wicklung der bewährten E 10 für den Reisezugdienst der
DB gebaut. Besondere konstruktive Neuerungen sind sehr
laufruhige Drehgestelle, ein wartungsfreundlicher Aufbau
und ein komfortabler Sicherheits-Führerstand. Die Leistung
von 3.700 kW und die Geschwindigkeit von 150 km/h bieten
gute Reisezeiten im Fernverkehr. Zugleich ermöglichen
die Thyristor-Fahrstufenschaltung und ein automatisches
Bremssystem verkürzte Anfahr- und Anhaltephasen im Nah-
verkehr. Daher werden die Lokomotiven auch im S-Bahn-
Netz Rhein-Ruhr wirtschaftlich eingesetzt.
Bis 1985 sind 226 Maschinen der Baureihe 111 in Dienst
gestellt worden.
Information about the Prototype
Since 1974 the class 111 has been manufactured as a
further refinement of the proven E 10 electric locomotive for
passenger train service on the German Federal Railroad.
Special, new construction features are very smooth-riding
trucks, a car body with easy access for maintenance and
a comfortable safety engineer’s cab. Good travel times can
be offered with an output of 3.700 kilowatts and a top speed
of 150 km/h (90 m.p.h.). A thyristor circuit for acceleration
control and an automatic braking system allow shorter times
for acceleration and braking in commuter traffic. The class
111 can thus be used efficiently in the Rhein-Ruhr commuter
network.
By 1985 226 examples of the class 111 had been placed in
service.

Informations concernant la locomotive réelle
C’est à partir de 1974 que la DB s’est équipée de motrices
de la série 111. Ces motrices ont été développées à partir
des motrices E 10 pour les services voyageurs. Lerus prin-
cipales caractéristiques concernent les bogies silencieux
leur structure facile à entretenir ainsi que les cabines
confortables et à haute sécurité. Leur puissance de 3700 kW
et leur vitesse limite de 150 km/h leur permettent de réaliser
des chronos intéressants sur grandes distances. De plus, la
commande de vitesse par thyristors associée à un freinage
automatique garantit des démarrages rapides ainsi que des
freinages efficaces ce qui est particulièrement intéressant
pour le trafic de banlieue, d’où leur utilisation pour la trac-
tion des rames RER du bassin de la Ruhr.

Speciaal voor reizigerstreindiensten van de DB wordt sinds
1974 de bouwserie 111 als moderne voortzetting van de
beproefde E 10 gebouwd. Bijzondere constructievernieuwin-
gen zijn o.m. de rustige loop van de draaistellen, de onder-
houdsvriendelijke bovenbouw en de comfortabele en veilige
cabine. Het vermogen van 3.700 kW en de snelheid van 150
km/u resulteren in snelle reistijden voor het lange-afstands-
verkeer. Tevens is het door de thyristor-rijstandschakeling
en een automatisch remsysteem mogelijk sneller op gang
te komen en te stoppen bij korte afstanden. Daardoor is het
gebruik van deze locomotieven ook voor het S-baan-net
Rijn-Roer bijzonder economisch.
Tot 1985 werden 226 machines van de bouwserie 111 in
dienst genomen.

Veiligheidsvoorschriften

De loc mag alleen met een daarvoor bestemd bedrijfs-
systeem (Märklin AC, Märklin Delta, Märklin digitaal of
Märklin Systems) gebruikt worden.
• Alleennet-adaptersentransformatorengebruiken
waarvan de aangegeven netspanning overeenkomt met
de netspanning ter plaatse.
• Delocmagnietvanuitmeerdanéénstroomvoorziening
gelijktijdig gevoed worden.
• Leesookaandachtigdeveiligheidsvoorschrifteninde
gebruiksaanwijzing van uw bedrijfssysteem.
• Voorhetconventionelebedrijfmetdelocdientde
aansluitrail te worden ontstoort. Hiervoor dient men de
ontstoor-set 74046 te gebruiken. Voor het digitale bedrijf
is deze ontstoor-set niet geschikt.
• Stelhetmodelnietblootaanindirectezonnestraling,
sterke temperatuurwisselingen of hoge luchtvochtigheid.
