PA Speaker System for
100V Operation or 8Ω Operation
These instructions are intended for installers
with sufficient knowledge in 100V technology
for PA applications. Please read the instruc-
tions carefully prior to installation and keep
them for later reference.
1 Applications
This 2-way speaker system for wall mounting is
especially designed for applications in PA systems.
It is equipped with a transformer for operation
in 100V systems, but it can also directly be con-
nected to a low-impedance amplifier output. The
connected load is matched via a rotary switch. As
a 2-way system, the speaker system is suitable for
speech and music reproduction.
2 Important Notes for Safe Installation
The speaker system corresponds to all relevant di-
rectives of the EU and is therefore marked with .
•
The speaker system is suitable for indoor use only.
Protect it against dripping water, splash water
and high air humidity. The admissible ambient
temperature range is 0–40 °C.
•
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
chemicals or water.
•
No guarantee claims for the speaker system and
no liability for any resulting personal damage or
material damage will be accepted if the speaker
system is used for other purposes than originally
intended, if it is not expertly mounted or correctly
connected, or if it is overloaded.
If the speaker system is to be put out of
operation definitively, take it to a local
recycling plant or a disposal which is not
harmful to the environment.
3 Installation
WARNING During operation, there is a hazard
of contact with a voltage of up to
100V at the speaker cable. The in-
stallation must be carried out by
skilled personnel only.
Observe the load of the PA amplifier by the speak-
ers. An overload may damage the amplifier! The
total power of all speakers connected must not
exceed the amplifier power.
1) Prior to the installation of the speaker system
switch off the PA amplifier completely, so that
the speaker cable will not carry any voltage!
2) For wall mounting, fix the bracket at the desired
place of the wall and tightly screw the speaker
system to the mounting bracket.
3) Adjust the desired rated load (volume) with the
switch (1) on the rear side or turn the switch to
position “8Ω” when operating the speaker at a
low-impedance amplifier output.
CAUTION! In the position “8Ω” never use the
speaker in a 100V system. The speaker and pos-
sibly the amplifier will be damaged.
4) Connect the speaker system via the connecting
terminals (2) to the PA amplifier. When connect-
ing several speakers, make sure that all speakers
have the same polarity (e.g. black terminal =
negative pole).
5) Finally align the speaker system in an opti-
mum way to the area where the sound is to be
directed.

ELA-Lautsprecherbox für 100-V-
oder 8-Ω-Betrieb
Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Installateure,
die ausreichende Fachkenntnisse in der 100-V-
Beschallungstechnik besitzen. Bitte lesen Sie die
Anleitung vor der Installation gründlich durch
und heben Sie sie für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.
1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten
Diese 2-Wege-Lautsprecherbox zur Wandmontage
ist speziell für den Einsatz in Beschallungsanlagen
konzipiert. Sie ist mit einem Übertrager für den
Betrieb in 100-V-Anlagen ausgestattet, kann aber
auch direkt an einen niederohmigen Verstärkeraus-
gang angeschlossen werden. Die Anpassung der
Anschlussleistung erfolgt über einen Drehschalter.
Als 2-Wege-System ist die Lautsprecherbox für
Sprach- und Musikwiedergabe geeignet.
2 Wichtige Hinweise für den sicheren Einbau
Die Lautsprecherbox entspricht allen relevanten
Richtlinien der EU und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.
•
Die Lautsprecherbox ist nur zur Verwendung im
Innenbereich geeignet. Schützen Sie sie vor Tropf-
und Spritzwasser sowie vor hoher Luftfeuchtig-
keit. Der zulässige Einsatztemperaturbereich be-
trägt 0–40°C.
•
Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trocke-
nes, weiches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien
oder Wasser.
•
Wird die Lautsprecherbox zweckentfremdet, nicht
fachgerecht montiert, falsch angeschlossen oder
überlastet, kann keine Haftung für daraus resul-
tierende Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine
Garantie für die Lautsprecherbox übernommen
werden.
Soll die Lautsprecherbox endgültig aus
dem Betrieb genommen werden, überge-
ben Sie sie zur umweltgerechten Entsor-
gung einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Installation
WARNUNG Beim Betrieb in 100-V-Anlagen liegt
berührungsgefährliche Spannung bis
100V an der Lautsprecherleitung an.
Die Installation darf nur durch Fach-
personal erfolgen.
Achten Sie auf die Belastung des ELA-Verstärkers
durch die Lautsprecher. Eine Überlastung kann
den Verstärker beschädigen! Die Summe der Leis-
tungen aller angeschlossenen Lautsprecher darf
die Verstärkerleistung nicht überschreiten.
1) Vor der Installation der Lautsprecherbox den
ELA-Verstärker ausschalten, damit die Lautspre-
cherleitung spannungsfrei ist!
2) Zur Wandmontage den Montagebügel an ge-
wünschter Stelle der Wand befestigen und
die Lautsprecherbox am Montagebügel fest-
schrauben.
3) Die gewünschte Nennbelastung (Lautstärke)
mit dem Schalter (1) auf der Rückseite einstel-
len oder beim Betrieb an einem niederohmigen
Verstärkerausgang den Schalter in die Position
„8Ω“ drehen.
VORSICHT! In der Position „8Ω“ den Lautspre-
cher auf keinen Fall in einer 100-V-Anlage be-
treiben. Der Lautsprecher und eventuell auch der
Verstärker werden beschädigt.
4) Die Lautsprecherbox über die Anschlussklem-
men (2) an den ELA-Verstärker anschließen. Beim
Anschluss von mehreren Lautsprechern darauf
achten, dass die Lautsprecher alle gleich gepolt
werden (z.B. schwarze Klemme = Minuspol).
5) Zuletzt die Lautsprecherbox optimal auf den zu
beschallenden Bereich ausrichten.

Cassa acustica PA per 100V o 8 Ω
Queste istruzioni sono rivolte agli installatori che
possiedono delle conoscenze specifiche sufficienti
della tecnica di sonorizzazione a 100V. Vi pre-
ghiamo di leggerle attentamente prima dell‘in-
stallazione e di conservarle per un uso futuro.
1 Possibilità d’impiego
Questa cassa acustica a 2 vie per montaggio alla pa-
rete è stata realizzata specialmente per l’impiego in
impianti di sonorizzazione. È equipaggiata con un
trasformatore per il funzionamento in impianti con
uscita audio 100V, ma può essere collegata anche
con un’uscita a bassa impedenza dell’amplificatore.
L’adattamento al tipo di collegamento avviene con
un selettore. Come sistema a 2 vie, la cassa acustica
è adatto per la riproduzione sia di musica che di
lingua parlata.
2 Avvertenze di sicurezza
La cassa acustica è conforme a tutte le direttive rile-
vanti dell’UE e pertanto porta la sigla .
•
La cassa acustica è previsto solo per l’uso all’in-
terno di locali. Proteggerla dall’acqua gocciolante
e dagli spruzzi d’acqua nonché da alta umidità
dell’aria. La temperatura d’esercizio ammessa è
0– 40°C.
•
Per la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido,
asciutto; non impiegare in nessun caso prodotti
chimici o acqua.
•
Nel caso d’uso improprio, di montaggio sba-
gliato, di collegamenti sbagliati o di sovraccarico
della cassa acustica, non si assume nessuna re-
sponsabilità per eventuali danni consequenziali a
persone o a cose e non si assume nessuna garan-
zia per la cassa acustica.
Se si desidera eliminare la cassa acu-
stica definitivamente, consegnarla per lo
smaltimento ad un’istituzione locale per
il riciclaggio.
3 Installazione
AVVERTIMENTO Durante il funzionamento in im-
pianti a 100V, nel cavo per altopar-
lanti è presente una tensione fino a
100V, pericolosa in caso di contatto.
L’installazione deve essere eseguita
solo da personale specializzato.
Tener presente anche il carico dell’amplificatore
PA da parte degli altoparlanti. Un sovraccarico
può danneggiare l’amplificatore! La somma delle
potenze di tutti gli altoparlanti collegati non deve
superare la potenza dell’amplificatore.
1) Prima dell’installazione della cassa acustica, spe-
gnere l’amplificatore PA perché la linea per alto-
parlanti sia completamente esente da tensione!
2) Per il montaggio alla parete fissare la staffa nel
punto desiderato della parete e avvitare la cassa
alla staffa di montaggio.
3) Con il selettore (1) sul retro impostare la potenza
nominale (il volume) richiesta oppure, in caso di
collegamento con un’uscita a bassa impedenza
dell’amplificatore, girare il selettore in posizione
“8 Ω”.
ATTENZIONE! In posizione “8 Ω”, non usare in
nessun caso l’altoparlante in un impianto con
uscita audio 100V. L’altoparlante e eventual-
mente anche l’amplificatore subiranno dei danni.
4) Collegare la cassa acustica con l’amplificatore
PA per mezzo dei morsetti di collegamento (2).
Collegando più altopar lanti, fare attenzione af-
finché tutti abbiano la stessa polarità (p.es. mor-
setto nero = polo negativo).
5) Alla fine orientare la cassa acustica in modo otti-
male verso la zona da sonorizzare.

Cette notice s’adresse aux installateurs possédant
des connaissances suffisantes en technique de
sonorisation ligne 100V. Veuillez lire la présente
notice avec attention avant l‘installation et conser-
vez-la pour pouvoir vous y reporter ultérieurement.
1 Possibilités d’utilisation
Cette enceinte 2 voies pour montage mural est
spécialement conçue pour une utilisation dans
des installations de sonorisation. Elle est dotée
d’un transformateur pour fonctionnement dans
des installations 100V, elle peut également être
directement reliée à une sortie amplificateur basse
impédance. L’adaptation de la puissance de bran-
chement s’effectue via un sélecteur rotatif. En tant
que système 2 voies, l’enceinte est adaptée pour
une restitution de discours et musique.
2 Conseils de sécurité
L‘enceinte répond à toutes les directives nécessaires
de l’Union européenne et porte donc le symbole .
•
L‘enceinte n’est conçu que pour une utilisation en
intérieur. Protégez-la de tout type de projections
d’eau, des éclaboussures et d’une humidité d‘air
élevée. La plage de température ambiante admis-
sible est de 0– 40°C.
•
Pour le nettoyage, utilisez uniquement un chiffon sec
et doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques ou d’eau.
•
Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de
dommages matériels ou corporels résultants si
l‘enceinte est utilisé dans un but autre que celui
pour lequel il a été conçu, si elle n’est pas correcte-
ment installé ou branché, ou si elle y a surcharge;
en outre, la garantie deviendrait caduque.
Lorsque l‘enceinte est définitivement retiré
du service, vous devez la déposer dans une
usine de recyclage adaptée pour contri-
buer à son élimination non polluante.

3 Installation
AVERTISSEMENT Pendant le fonctionnement, une
tension de contact dangereuse
jusqu’à 100V est présente au câble
haut-parleur. Seul un personnel
qualifié peut effectuer l’installation.
Faites attention à la charge de l’amplificateur PA
par les haut-parleurs. Une surcharge peut endom-
mager l’amplificateur. La somme des puissances
de l’ensemble des enceintes reliées ne doit pas
dépasser la puissance de l’amplificateur.
1) Avant d’installer l’enceinte, éteignez l’amplifica-
teur Public Adress pour que le câble haut-parleur
ne soit pas porteur de tension !
2) Pour un montage mural, fixez l’étrier à l’endroit
voulu sur le mur et vissez l’enceinte sur l’étrier.
3) Réglez la puissance nominale souhaitée (volume)
avec l’interrupteur (1) sur la face arrière ou, pour
un fonctionnement à une sortie ampli basse impé-
dance, tournez le sélecteur sur la positon «8Ω».
ATTENTION ! En position «8 Ω», ne faites pas
fonctionner l’enceinte dans une installation
100V. L’enceinte, voire l’amplificateur, pour-
raient être endommagés.
4) Reliez l’enceinte via les bornes à pinces (2) à l’am-
plificateur Public Adress. Si vous branchez plu-
sieurs enceintes, veillez à ce qu’elles aient toutes
la même polarité (p.ex. borne noire = pôle moins).
5) Orientez maintenant l‘enceinte de manière opti-
male vers la zone à sonoriser.
