National Cycle Paladin P4306 Installation instructions

PREPARATION
1. Ensure that the motorcycle is on flat level ground.
2. It is recommended that the motorcycle sit for at least one
hour prior to installation to allow the engine to cool.
3. Remove the two lower left and right engine mount bolts.
(14mm Wrench) These bolts will not be re-used. Figure 1.

MAINTENANCE / CAUTION
The high quality chrome finish of your National Cycle
Chrome Highway Bar can be maintained with anyquality
chrome cleaner and / or polish applied with a soft cloth.
Checkhardware for tightness regularly. Never ride with loose
mounting hardware. Check to be sure your Highway Bar
does not contact any part of the motorcycle at a full turn left
and right. Correct any problem before using the motorcycle.
INSTALLATION
1. Start on the Left side of the motorcycle. Loosely install the
Highway Bar to the lower mounting point using one M10 Bolt.
(14mm Socket.) Do not fully tighten at this time. Figure 2,
inset a.
2. Place one “U” Bolt on the frame down tube just above the
clutch cable clip, inset b.
3. Loosely install the Highway Bar to the “U” Bolt with the
Whizlok Nuts, inset c. (1/2” Wrench)
4. Repeat procedure 1-3 on Right side of motorcycle.
5. Secure the Left Highway Bar to the Right Bar. Insert the
Button Head Screw from the Right side through both bar
ends. Place one Split Washer on the screw and secure with a
Whizlok Nut. Repeat procedure at second hole. (1/2” and
5/8” Hex)
Tighten Fasteners
6. Start at the Lower mount points and tighten the M10 Bolts,
(left and right side) to the specified torque in your service
manual. Next tighten the Nuts holding the “U” Clamps and
finally the Button Head Screws securing the two Highway
Bars together.
