BATTERY DISPOSAL
The product contains a battery. It must be separated from generic non-recyclable waste when
discarded at the end of its working life. Discard them in the appropriate containers for battery
disposal. Collection and recycling of batteries helps protect the environment and preserve
material resources, allowing recovery of valuable materials. The battery contained in this
product may not be directly removable. If this is the case, the instructions for its possible removal by

Incorrect battery removal may cause damage to the battery and to the device, cause personal injury and/or

The warranty is null and void in the following cases:

DOC E-BIKE X3: DESCRIPTION
DOC E-BIKE X3 is equipped with an electrical pedal assist system.
To activate the pedal assist function, start pedalling as this will activate the effort sensor. If on the contrary
you fail to pedal, the motor remains inactive.
The electrical assistance is guaranteed up to 25 km/h, then the motor power will cut off. It will be possible
to travel at greater speed, but only through personal effort, without the aid of the motor.
Before using this bicycle in traffic, it is necessary to become familiar with its use in open places.
In a few minutes you will familiarise yourself with the bike and find it extremely easy to use, easy to control
and incredibly fun.

ASSEMBLY AND SETTINGS
DOC E-BIKE X3 should reach you fully assembled, with the exclusion of the PEDALS, which are supplied
separately.
Nevertheless, some parts (such as the saddle and handlebar) may arrive disassembled, or in some way
require adjusting.
HANDLEBAR
Place the handlebar in the centre of the stem at the desired height.
Firmly tighten the hex head socket screws present as indicated by the
arrows.
ATTENTION! CHECK THE CORRECT POSITIONING OF THE FORK WITH
RESPECT TO THE HANDLEBAR.
IT MUST BE FACING TOWARDS THE FRONT.
IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE, YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO FIT THE WHEEL ON.
PEDALS
The pedals will arrive disassembled and in a separate plastic bag.
Carefully screw the pedals into the dedicated seat and tighten with
the spanner supplied.
CAUTION: In order to avoid them coming loose during travel, the
pedals (of all bicycles) have the characteristic feature of having the
left pedal with opposite thread.
In practice, when you screw them in, you will
need to do so in the opposite direction, as
though you were unscrewing.
SADDLE
Insert the sleeve of the saddle in its housing and adjust the height
and tilt, by turning the screws and quick-release terminals, as shown
in the figure.

BATTERY ASSEMBLY
Insert the battery in its housing as shown in the figure.
Gently push upwards so the battery fit into its housing.
The fitted battery will look as shown in the figure.
BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
The brake levers are made of aluminium alloy.
Next to the brake lever is a cylinder to adjust the tension of the
wiring. Disk brakes allow efficient braking on all surfaces.
During braking, the electrical part of the motor is automatically
disabled.

DISK AND BRAKE PAD CALIBRATION
The goal is to make sure that the brake disk is centrally
positioned in the calliper slot.
So turn the hex head socket screws (5 mm, using the
Allen key supplied) for calibration on the side of the
calliper.
Push the calliper laterally, try to turn the wheel and
ensure the brake pads do not touch the disk.
Once you have found the correct position close the
tightening screws. (8 Nm torque).
Turn the wheel and check again until you reach the
optimum position, in order to avoid their incorrect
wear, which would no longer guarantee full braking
efficiency.
ALWAYS TIGHTEN THE LOWER SCREW BEFORE
TIGHTENING THE UPPER SCREW.
With the calliper removed, you can check the brake
pads.
One pad is fixed, the other pad closes when the brake
lever is pressed.
The distance between the disk and the pads must not be
more than 3 millimetres and the pad must be parallel to
its disk.
Also ensure the brake pads are at the correct distance
(slightly more than the thickness of the disk) and are not
worn.
Otherwise the brake calliper would touch the disk during
braking, damaging it.

GEAR SYSTEM
The rear wheel is fitted with Shimano 6-speed gear (dérailleur) shifter.
Its use is identical to the use of traditional bicycle gearing and it is governed by
the classic lever located near the right-hand handlebar.
AS FOR TRADITIONAL BICYCLE GEARING, IT MUST BE USED WITH THE BICYCLE
IN MOTION.
FRONT LIGHT
DOC E-BIKE X3 is equipped with a 5-LED torch powered by common
alkaline batteries.
PEDAL ASSIST (PAS) CONTROL PANEL
The pedal assist (PAS) control unit is located on the left side of the handlebar.

DOC E-BIKE X3 is fitted with switches for pedal assist at three speeds.
THE PEDAL ASSIST FUNCTION CANNOT BE ACTIVATED WITH THE BICYCLE AT A STANDSTILL.
PAS operation:
•Pedal and simultaneously activate the PAS. This method entails a greater use of current and a
greater wear of the motor.
•Pedal until you create a certain inertia for the bicycle, activate the PAS and resume pedalling.
This method on the other hand allows greater savings in current and therefore a greater
protection of the motor.
•Cycle while avoiding sudden speed changes; after braking resume pedalling prior to changing
the PAS setting.

•Do not vary the PAS speed during braking, as this would lead to a motor overload.
•The current regulator automatically cuts off the electricity supply in the event of overvoltage,
re-establishing it when the electrical load is restored.
•Do not use the PAS in the rain or on excessively uneven ground.
•Turn off the PAS before stopping DOC E-BIKE X3, the last few pedal strokes should therefore
be made without electrical assistance.
BATTERY
BATTERY CHARGE
The battery of the DOC E-BIKE X3 can be charged:
•Directly on the bike, without taking the battery
out.
•Taking the battery out and taking it home or to a
place equipped with electrical outlet.
Insert the power supply plug into the power inlet, placed on
the battery next to the USB socket and then plug the battery
charger into the mains. Both the battery plug and the USB
socket are covered with closing caps for precaution.
The red light on the power supply indicates the battery charge
is low, the green light indicates the opposite, i.e. the charge
cycle is terminated.
BATTERY USB FUNCTION
The lithium battery of DOC E-BIKE X3 has a convenient USB output (see figure above).
It is therefore possible, by means of a dedicated cable (not supplied), to charge digital products such as
smartphones and MP3 players; you can also connect an auxiliary torch.
To start the function, press the red button located on the battery for 3 to 5 seconds until the first light next
to the button itself comes on. To disable this function, press the button again.
THIS FUNCTION OBVIOUSLY CONSUMES ENERGY. WE THEREFORE RECOMMEND YOU DISABLE IT IF NOT
IN USE.
USER WARNINGS
Carefully heed the following warnings for use.
Use DOC E-BIKE X3 sensibly and responsibly.
DOC E-BIKE X3 is a pedal assisted means of transport.
DOC E-BIKE X3 is a hi-tech product, but its incorrect and inappropriate use can cause injuries. In order to
reduce any type of risk, we recommend you carefully heed the following warnings:
•Always wear shoes, a helmet and appropriate safety equipment. Using a firmly buckled helmet
that provides cranial protection is recommended.
•Do not use DOC E-BIKE X3 without proper training, please read the manual before use.
•Its use is not recommended for pregnant women.
•Do not use DOC E-BIKE X3 under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances that could
alter the user's reflexes.
•We recommend wearing comfortable clothes during use.
•DOC E-BIKE X3 was designed to transport a single individual. Use by several individuals
simultaneously is prohibited.

•Make sure cycling speed always permits stopping at any time and in any situation.
•We recommend you maintain a suitable safety distance from other vehicles when cycling.
•Do not perform stunts.
•Do not get down from DOC E-BIKE X3 when it is in motion.
•Periodically check the components before use.
•Observe traffic rules, slow down in the rain or snow and take these into account to adjust the
safety distance accordingly.
•In urban areas it is advisable to use the bike on even road surfaces.
•Although it is impermeable, do not use DOC E-BIKE X3 to wade through rivers. Do not immerse
the part with the electric and electronic components in water.
•Do not modify DOC E-BIKE X3 in any way; any modification will invalidate the manufacturer's
warranty
•Only use the original battery charger supplied.
•Check the efficiency of the brakes before use.
Carefully reading this manual is essential for its correct use and to reduce personal injuries.
MAKE SURE THE BATTERY IS FULLY CHARGED BEFORE USE.
CHECKS AND MAINTENANCE
To prolong the life and efficiency of your DOC E-BIKE X3, certain operations need to be performed on a
regular basis:
•Regularly check the tyre pressure.
•Check that the handlebar and saddle are always well secured.
•Adjust the chain tension and lubricate it periodically.
•Before each use always check the reliability of the braking system.
•Check that the wheel bolts are tightened.
•Check the condition of the tyres and replace them when worn.
•Do not wash DOC E-BIKE X3 directly with jets of water, especially pressurised, since this could
damage the electrical components.
•Clean dirty areas with a damp cloth and neutral detergent; then dry with care.
•Treat the metal moving parts such as the chain with lubricating oil. TAKING CARE THAT NO
OIL DRIPS ONTO THE BRAKING PARTS. We recommend you have these operations performed
by qualified personnel.
•Regularly check the tension of the chain, by releasing the quick-coupling clamp and holding
the wheel. Make sure that the wheel is perfectly in axis.
•Frequently check the reliability of the brakes.
CORRECT USE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE BATTERY
The following covers different methods of recharging and maintaining the battery, as well as any problems
that may arise. For the safety of the consumer and to prolong the life and improve performance of the
battery, please observe the following:
•The battery and the battery charger must be kept out of children's reach.
•Use the maximum speed of the PAS only with the battery fully charged.
•Only use the original battery charger; the use of a different battery charger could damage it
irreparably.
•Do not disassemble or modify the battery and/or its charger.
•Be extra careful when removing the battery from the DOC E-BIKE X3, dropping it could damage
it and make it unusable.

•In the presence of unpleasant smells or excess temperatures during charging, stop the
procedure immediately.
•DOC E-BIKE X3 cannot be used during the battery charging process.
•The battery and the battery charger must be kept out of children's reach.
•Make sure the battery and charger are connected before connecting to the electricity mains.
•Never let the battery charge level fall to zero, as this could reduce its life.
•Do not submit the battery to excessive charge cycles, if not needed.
•If the bike is not used, recharge the battery at least every 2 months.
•Do not charge the battery at high temperatures (above 40 C)
•In winter, battery charging should be carried out at room temperature, if the bike was left in the cold
start the charging process after it has been brought back to room temperature.
•Batteries contain hazardous substances. Do not open the battery and do not insert anything inside
it.
•If over-charged, lithium batteries may explode.
•Please keep the charging contacts clean and dry.
•If the charging port is wet, do not charge.
•In order to avoid fire risks or electrical shock, when charging, only place the device in a room with
controlled temperature and humidity and without conductive agents of any kind.
•When charging, the device should be placed in a fully fireproof room (keep away from wood floors,
furniture, paper, sofas, rugs, flammable liquids, etc. .) with controlled temperature and humidity.
•Charge the battery in a ventilated room to reduce overheating when charging.
•If the battery suffered shocks or if the battery or power cord are not perfectly intact, avoid charging
and contact a service centre.
•The manufacturer and distributor cannot be held liable for damages to third party products due to
improper battery and charger use.
•Almost all types of battery are influenced by the environment. Generally the harsh temperatures
significantly decrease the power of the battery.
•When the battery is removed, keep it away from metal objects that may cause a short circuit.
TRANSPORTING THE BATTERY
Lithium batteries are considered as hazardous materials. Their transportation is governed by the laws of
each Country. International law prohibits shipping single lithium batteries by air.
If you ship your DOC E-BIKE X3 the battery must be attached.
THE BATTERY CANNOT BE SHIPPED SEPARATELY.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
Pursuant to the provisions of Directive 2002/24/EC, DOC E-BIKE X3 does not require type-approval for
circulation as a motor vehicle, given that its maximum speed, solely with electric traction, cannot exceed
25 km/h and that its motor is not more powerful than 250W.
Every road user however is obliged to follow the traffic regulations in force in their own country.
So make sure that you do not need permissions from the authorities, nor a driving license to ride an e-bike.
In many countries it is possible to circulate on roads and public streets only with the addition of the
equipment prescribed by law, such as systems for luminous signalling, clothing with reflective bands and a
protective helmet.
Italian legislation does not differentiate between an e-bike and a common bicycle.
THE USE OF A HELMET AND ANY ADDITIONAL PROTECTION IS STILL HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR THE E-
BIKE AND FOR ALL BICYCLES IN GENERAL.
SYMBOLS AND PICTOGRAMS ON THE PACKAGING/PRODUCT
The product meets European safety directive requirements.
The product contains a battery. At the end of the battery working life in the
product, it must be separately discarded from generic waste (see introduction).
The product contains electric and electronic equipment. At the end of the
product working life, it cannot be discarded with normal urban waste and must
be sent to separate collection (see introduction).
Wear appropriate safety equipment such as knee pads, elbow pads and wrist
bands. Use a well-buckled helmet that provides cranial protection.
Minimum weight for use 20 kg, maximum weight 115 kg.
Do not use DOC under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances that
could alter the user's reflexes.

LIMITAZIONI DI GARANZIA
L’acquirente decade dal diritto alla garanzia nei seguenti casi:
•Mancanza della prova di acquisto (fattura o scontrino fiscale).
•Manomissione e forzature di parti.
•Altri difetti derivanti da: uso improprio; modifiche non autorizzate; operazioni al di fuori delle
specifiche tecniche del prodotto; manutenzione non corretta; difetti derivanti da uso diverso e da
tutti quegli elementi non progettati per essere utilizzati con il prodotto; interventi tecnici effettuati

PREFAZIONE

DOC E-BIKE X3:DESCRIZIONE
DOC FAT BIKE è dotata di un sistema elettrico di pedalata assistita.
Per attivare la pedalata assistita è necessario iniziare a pedalare attivando così il sensore di sforzo. Se al
contrario non si pedala, il motore resta inattivo.
L’ assistenza elettrica è garantita sino a 25 km/h, dopodiché il motore si disinserirà. Sarà possibile andare
a maggiore velocità, ma con il solo sforzo personale, senza l’ausilio del motore.
Prima di utilizzare questa bicicletta, in mezzo al traffico, è necessario impratichirsi nel suo uso in luoghi
aperti. In pochi minuti prenderete dimestichezza col mezzo trovandolo quindi molto semplice da usare,
facile da controllare e incredibilmente divertente.

ASSEMBLAGGIO EREGOLAZIONI
DOC FAT BIKE dovrebbe giungervi completamente assemblata, con esclusione dei PEDALI, che vengono
forniti separatamente.
Tuttavia alcune parti (come sella e manubrio) potrebbero giungere disassemblate, o comunque necessitare
di regolazione.
MANUBRIO
Disporre il manubrio centrato rispetto allo stelo ed all’altezza
desiderata.
Serrare con forza le viti a brugola presenti indicate dalle frecce.
ATTENZIONE! VERIFICARE IL CORRETTO POSIZIONAMENTO DELLA
FORCELLA RISPETTO AL MANUBRIO.
DEVE ESSERE RIVOLTA VERSO LA PARTE ANTERIORE.
IN CASO CONTRARIO NON SI RIUSCIRA’ A MONTARE LA RUOTA.
PEDALI
I pedali arriveranno smontati e in un sacchetto di plastica a parte.
Avvitare con cura i pedali nella apposita sede e serrare con la chiave
in dotazione.
ATTENZIONE: al fine di evitare che si possano svitare durante la
marcia, i pedali (di tutte le biciclette) hanno la caratteristica di avere
il pedale sinistro con filettatura contraria.
In pratica quando lo avviterete dovrete fare
il movimento opposto, come se steste
svitandolo.
SELLA
Inserire il canotto della sella nel suo alloggiamento e regolarne
l’altezza, nonché l’inclinazione, agendo sulle viti e sui morsetti, a
sgancio rapido, come indicato in figura.

ASSEMBLAGGIO BATTERIA
Inserire la batteria, come mostrato in figura, nel suo
alloggiamento.
Spingere con delicatezza verso l’alto sino a porre la
batteria nella sua sede.
La batteria montata si presenterà come da figura.
REGOLAZIONE FRENI
Le leve del freno sono realizzate in lega d’alluminio.
Accanto alla leva del freno è presente un cilindro per la
regolazione della tensione della cavetteria.
I freni a disco consentono un’efficiente frenata su ogni superficie.
Durante la frenata si disattiva automaticamente la parte elettrica
del motore.
FRENATE MOLTO BRUSCHE PRODUCONO UN CONSUMO NON
UNIFORME DELLE PASTIGLIE.

CALIBRAZIONE DISCO EPASTIGLIE FRENI
Obbiettivo è quello di fare in modo che il disco del
freno sia posizionato centralmente nello slot della
pinza.
Agire quindi sulle viti a brugola (da 5mm, chiave a
brugola in dotazione) di calibratura sul lato della pinza.
Spingere la pinza lateralmente, provare a ruotare la
ruota e verificare che le pastiglie dei freni non tocchino
il disco.
Una volta trovata la posizione corretta chiudere le viti
di serraggio. (coppia 8Nm).
Girare la ruota e verificare nuovamente sino al
raggiungimento della posizione ottimale, al fine di
evitare un loro consumo scorretto che non
garantirebbero più una piena efficienza della frenata.
STRINGERE SEMPRE LA VITE INFERIORE PRIMA DI
STRINGERE LA VITE SUPERIORE.
Con la pinza rimossa è possibile controllare le pastiglie
dei freni.
Una pastiglia è fissa, l’altra pastiglia si chiude quando
viene premuta la leva del freno.
La distanza tra il disco e le pastiglie non deve essere
superiore ai 3 millimetri e la pastiglia deve essere
parallela al suo disco.
Verificare, inoltre, che le pastiglie dei freni siano a
distanza corretta (lievemente superiore allo spessore del
disco) e non siano consumate.
In caso contrario la pinza del freno toccherebbe il disco
durante la frenata rovinandolo.
