1.1 Konstruktion und Funktion
Die Silikonschleifkegel 749F16 sind als Werkzeug zum Polieren und Abrun
den von Kanten an Hilfsmitteln (z.B. Prothesenschäften) aus thermoplasti
schen Kunststoffen zur Nutzung an einer Trichterfräsmaschine oder Schleif-
und Fräsmaschine konstruiert.
Das Werkzeug ist für die Bearbeitung folgender Materialien geeignet:

4 Gebrauch
4.1 Auswahl des Werkzeugs
VORSICHT
Verwendung von ungeeignetem Werkzeug
Verletzungen, Beschädigungen am Werkzeug bzw. zu bearbeitenden Ma
terial
►Verwenden Sie nur Werkzeug, das für das zu bearbeitende Material
geeignet ist (siehe Kapitel „Konstruktion und Funktion“).
►Tauschen Sie stark beschädigtes Werkzeug (siehe Abb. 2, Pos. 3) ge
gen neues Werkzeug (siehe Abb. 2, Pos. 1) aus.
4.2 Montage/Demontage
VORSICHT
Fehlerhafte Montage/Demontage des Werkzeugs
Verletzungen
►Montieren Sie das Werkzeug nur an einer Maschine mit dem entspre
chenden Gewinde an der Werkzeugaufnahme.
►Montieren/demontieren Sie das Werkzeug nur bei ausgeschalteter Ma
schine.
4.3 Handhabung
VORSICHT
Unvorsichtiges Arbeiten
Verletzungen und Verbrennung, Beschädigungen am Werkzeug bzw. zu
bearbeitenden Material
►Beachten Sie Betriebsanleitung der Maschine.
►Vermeiden Sie jeden Kontakt mit dem während der Bearbeitung heiß
werdenden Werkzeug.
1) Die Werte für die Drehzahl und den Anpressdruck der Tabelle im Kapitel
„Konstruktion und Funktion“ entnehmen.

2) Die Maschine einschalten und auf die erforderliche Drehzahl einstellen
(siehe Betriebsanleitung der Maschine).
3) Das zu bearbeitende Material fest in der Hand halten und mit dem erfor
derlichen Anpressdruck an das Werkzeug führen.
4.4 Reinigung und Pflege
Kontrolle vor jedem Gebrauch
INFORMATION
Es können sich herstellungsbedingte Luftblasen im Silikon am Rand zur
Werkzeugaufnahme befinden, die aber die Funktionalität nicht einschrän
ken.
1) Die Silikonoberfläche des Werkzeugs auf Beschädigungen prüfen.
2) Normale Abnutzungserscheinung (raue Oberfläche, siehe Abb. 2,
Pos. 2): Bei Bedarf das Werkzeug reinigen.
3) Starke Abnutzungserscheinung (Risse oder Löcher in der Oberflä
che, siehe Abb. 2, Pos. 3): Das Werkzeug entsorgen und durch ein neu
es Werkzeug ersetzen.
Reinigung bei Bedarf
1) Das Werkzeug mit klarem Süßwasser reinigen.
2) Das Werkzeug mit einem weichen Tuch durch Abtupfen trocknen.
5 Haftung
Der Hersteller haftet nur, wenn das Produkt unter den vorgegebenen Bedin
gungen und zu den vorgegebenen Zwecken eingesetzt wird. Der Hersteller
empfiehlt das Produkt sachgemäß zu handhaben und entsprechend der An
leitung einzusetzen und zu pflegen.

1.1 Construction and Function
749F16 Silicone Sanding Cones are designed as tools for polishing and
rounding off the edges of medical devices (e.g. prosthetic sockets) made

with thermoplastics, for use on a socket router machine or on sanding or
milling machines.

4 Use
4.1 Choosing a Tool
CAUTION
Using improper tools
Injuries, damage to the tool and/or the material to be processed
►Use only a tool that is suitable for the material to be processed (see
section "Construction and Function").
►Replace any severely damaged tools (see Fig.2, item3) with new tools
(see Fig.2, item1).
4.2 Mounting/Dismounting
CAUTION
Improper mounting/dismounting of the tool
Injuries
►Only mount the tool on a machine that has the corresponding thread on
the tool holding fixture.
►Mount/dismount the tool only when the machine is switched off.
4.3 Handling
CAUTION
Careless working
Injuries and burns, damage to the tool and/or the material to be processed
►Observe the Operating Instructions of the machine.
►Avoid any contact with the tool as it heats up during processing.
1) Use the values for speed and contact pressure given in the table in the
section "Construction and Function".
2) Switch on the machine and set the required speed (see Operating
Instructions of the machine).
3) Firmly hold the material to be processed in your hand and guide it
against the tool with the required contact pressure.

4.4 Cleaning and Care
Inspection prior to each use
INFORMATION
Process-related air bubbles may appear in the silicone at the edge towards
the tool holding fixture, however these do not impair the tool's functionality.
1) Examine the silicone surface of the tool for any damage.
2) Normal signs of wear (rough surface, see Fig.2, item2): Clean the
tool if necessary.
3) Severe signs of wear (cracks or holes in the surface, see Fig.2,
item3): Dispose of the tool and replace it with a new one.
Cleaning as necessary
1) Clean the tool with clear fresh water.
2) Dry the tool using a soft cloth to swab away the water.
5 Liability
The manufacturer’s warranty applies only if the device has been used under
the conditions and for the purposes described. The manufacturer recom
mends that the device be used and maintained according to the instructions
for use.

4 Utilisation

4.2 Montage/Démontage

1) Consultez les valeurs relatives au nombre de tours et à la pression dans
le tableau figurant au chapitre «Conception et fonction».
2) Mettez en marche la machine et réglez le nombre de tours nécessaire
(voir «Notice d'utilisation» de la machine).
3) Tenez fermement le matériau à traiter dans votre main et passez-le sur
l'outil en appliquant la pression nécessaire.
4.4 Nettoyage et entretien
Contrôle à effectuer avant chaque utilisation
INFORMATION
Des bulles d'air dues au processus de fabrication peuvent se trouver dans
le silicone au bord du logement de l'outil sans toutefois limiter le bon fonc
tionnement.
1) Vérifiez que la surface en silicone de l'outil ne soit pas endommagée.
2) Signes d'usure normaux (surface rugueuse, voir ill.2, pos.2): net
toyez l'outil si nécessaire.
3) Signes d'usure importants (fissures ou trous dans la surface, voir
ill.2, pos.3): éliminez l'outil et remplacez-le par un outil neuf.

Nettoyage si nécessaire
1) Nettoyez l'outil à l'eau douce
2) Séchez l'outil en l'essuyant à l'aide d'un chiffon doux.
5 Responsabilité
Le fabricant accorde uniquement une garantie si le produit a fait l’objet
d’une utilisation conforme aux instructions prévues par le fabricant et dont
l’usage est celui auquel il est destiné. Le fabricant conseille de manier le
produit conformément à l’usage et de l’entretenir conformément aux instruc

4 Utilizzo
4.1 Scelta dell'utensile

►Utilizzare solo un utensile adatto al materiale da lavorare (vedere il ca
pitolo "Costruzione e funzionamento").
►Sostituire gli utensili molto danneggiati (vedere fig. 2, pos. 3) con un
utensile nuovo (vedere fig. 2, pos. 1).
4.2 Montaggio/Smontaggio

►Montare l'utensile solo su una macchina dotata d'attacco portautensile
con la filettatura appropriata.
►Montare/smontare l'utensile solo a macchina spenta.
4.3 Utilizzo

Utilizzo imprudente
Lesioni e ustioni, danni all'utensile o al materiale da lavorare
►Osservare le istruzioni per l'uso della macchina.
►Evitare ogni contatto con l'utensile che diventa molto caldo durante la
lavorazione.
1) I valori relativi al numero di giri e alla pressione di contatto sono riportati
nella tabella al capitolo "Costruzione e funzionamento".
2) Accendere la macchina e regolarla al numero di giri necessario (vedere
le istruzioni per l'uso della macchina).
3) Tenere saldamente in mano il materiale da lavorare e passarlo sull'uten
sile applicando la pressione necessaria.
4.4 Pulizia e cura
Controllo prima di ogni utilizzo
INFORMAZIONE
Potrebbero esserci delle bolle d'aria nel silicone, dovute alla fabbricazione,
sul bordo rivolto verso l'attacco portautensile, che tuttavia non pregiudica
no la funzionalità dell'utensile.
1) Controllare che la superficie in silicone dell'utensile non sia danneggia
ta.
2) Segni di normale usura(superficie rugosa, vedere la fig. 2, pos. 2): se
necessario pulire l'utensile.

Los cabezales de pulido para silicona 749F16 son herramientas que se utili
zan con una fresadora ortopédica o una fresadora para lijar y que sirven pa
ra pulir y redondear los bordes de productos auxiliares (p. ej. encajes de
prótesis) hechos de materiales termoplásticos.
