Before first use:
• Wash the inner surface of the device with the use of non-
abrasive cleaners. Dry the device. Wipe the device with a
clean dry cloth.
• Boil the maximum amount of water. Monitor for no leaks,
sparks, melting of body, excessive heating of the power
cord, plug, and burning smell during first two boiling.
• Boiled water from the first two boiling is not recommended
to use in food. You can use it for everyday needs.
To accelerate the cooling of the heating
element, do not fill the device with cold water.
This may damage the heating element.

Hard water can leave scale in the device. Use special
cleaners for descaling. Follow the instructions of the used
detergent. Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaners.
• Fill the device halfway with water.
• For every 2 cups of water, add 6 tablespoons of white
vinegar 8%.
• Bring to a boil.
• Repeat the procedure if necessary.
• Unplug it.
• Allow the device to cool.

• Open the lid under 450
• Press the fixator behind and pull the lid as shown in the
picture.
• Remove the lid.
• Rinse the device twice with cold water, Pic. D-2.
Wipe the device’s body with a damp cloth. In order
to prevent electrical shock do not immerse the
entire product or the wires into the water.
• Thoroughly dry all the parts of the device.

If the rubber seal is damaged, has cracks or became hard,
it must be replaced. Contact an authorized service center
(ASC) OURSSON AG.
• Remove the lid, Pic. D-1.
• Remove 4 screws inside the lid.
• Remove the rubber seal, pic. D-4.
• Install a new seal.
• Screw 4 screws back.
• Set the lid back.
NOTE! While utilizing the device, the plastic under the inner
lid may change color, but that will not affect the device’s
work.
