Before installing, be sure to thoroughly read these instrucons.
Warranty for this product is 3 years from date of purchase, however warranty will be void if:
• The unit is tampered with, damaged or modied in anyway.
• If applicable Reverse camera cable is cut or modied in any way.
• If applicable Reverse camera is subjected to over voltage.
• If applicable the Navigaon SD card is damaged or tampered with in any way (this includes in-
stalling foreign mapping or soware onto the SD card).
• The installaon of 3rd party apps that may cause harm to the unit.
Warranty Terms
The ToyotaLUXX is covered for 3 years and includes:
• Defecve Equipment • Defecve Cables

• Improper installaon
• Alteraon to Cables (includes cung of any cables)

For all Toyota vehicles that use the older style one pin Radio Antenna plug, you will need to aach
either the Antenna control wire or the Amp Control wire (from the Luxx power loom) to the
Antenna Control wire on the Toyota OEM plug:
4 pin plug— Rear Speakers: plugs into OEM Harness
8 pin plug— Main power + Front speakers: plugs into OEM harness
6 pin plug— Steering wheel controls for newer Toyota vehicles
Orange w/black stripe: Reverse In
Blue w/white stripe: AMP Ctrl
Pink—Brake In
6 pin plug— Steering wheel control plug for older Toyota Vehicles
Aach the amp control wire from the Luxx harness to the wire
coming from this pin.
Or
Cut the blue wire from the Radio Antenna adaptor on the Luxx
harness and aach to the wire coming from this pin

Installaon Notes
 Whilst most of this unit is classied as plug and play, it does not necessarily mean it is going to
be a breeze. Some things may have to be modied or you may have to tap into wires
depending on your vehicle.
 The wiring and installaon of this unit requires special technical skill and experience. If you do
not feel condent installing this product or do not have the level of skill necessary, please
contact Polaris on 1300 555 514 so we can refer to a recommended installer.
 The ToyotaLUXX has transportaon screws in the top of the unit—please remove these
before installaon
 Unfortunately we do not have the colour codes of every vehicle. To nd the correct wires to
tap into, our installers use the following items:
- Test lamp (to nd power).
- Mulmeter (to nd steering wheel control wires).
- 9 volt baery (to nd the speaker wires).
 This unit is designed to be used in a vehicle with a 12 volt baery and a negave grounding.
Before installing this unit to a recreaonal vehicle, bus, or truck, make sure the baery
voltage is appropriate for this unit to be used. If installing into a 24Volt vehicle , you will need
a 10 amp converter which can be purchased through automove electronic shops such as
Jaycar electronics.
 To avoid short circuit in the electrical system, ensure that the negave baery cable is
disconnected before installaon.
 To avoid possibility of shorng out the electrical circuit in the unit, never connect the baery
wire directly to the vehicle baery.
 Always secure all wirings with cable clamps or adhesive tape to prevent short circuit.
 Please make sure all wiring connecons and speaker wires are well insulated.
 When pulling the dash apart, please use quality trim tools to avoid damaging your dash.
 Please do NOT cut any plugs o of any Polaris cameras. Doing so will void your warranty! If
you need to blend other brand cameras into our system, please call Polaris on 1300 555 514
so we can refer you to a recommended dealer who has the skill and experience in performing
this type of work.
 If you want the reverse camera to trigger when reverse gear is engaged, you will need to nd
reverse power. Once you have found reverse power, connect the reversing wire (Have to tap
into one of the wires from the plug) to it.
 Some vehicles will require extra parts such as:
- Fascia's to make it t nice and neatly.
- CAN bus modules to retain steering wheel controls or other original features of the car.
- modules to retain a factory amp.
 If there is something you are not 100% sure about when installing this unit, please give our
experienced technicians a call on 1300 555 514.

We don’t suggest picking up power
from the front cam in power wires.
Somemes the 12 volt is not strong
enough to power some cameras.
Even though the actual input is labelled as front camera, you can sll use this input for a second reverse camera. The actual
head unit has an icon on the screen labelled CAM and this can toggle between the 2 cameras installed (regardless if it’s a
front camera or a second rear vision camera). If you want 3 cameras then we suggest purchasing a 2 way control box, see
page 8
Toggling between the 2 cameras without a Control Box
When you engage reverse the unit will always default to your tow vehicle reverse camera, to toggle to your second rear
camera while the vehicle is in reverse press the buon on your head unit.
To view any of the cameras whilst driving, select the Cam icon. It will default to the second camera automacally and if you
wish to view your tow vehicle reverse camera, press the on the touch screen.

Use the control box setup to plug an addional 2 cameras into the head unit when the front camera input Is already being
used

Mounng the unit
 The Toyota double din chassis will aach to most vehicle’s OEM brackets*.
 Before pung your dash back together it is best to aach the screen and test all
funcons.
 Some vehicles will require a fascia to ll the gap around the Toyota double din
chassis.
 Do not forget to remove the transportaon screws before installing
* Some OEM brackets may have to be modied in order to line the brackets up on the
Toyotaluxx. For example, in some of the 79 series you will need to grind the front of
the bracket o to line them up with the holes on the Toyotaluxx.
Installing third party apps
 Polaris accept no responsibility for third party apps installed on the device.
 Please be aware that the more apps you install on the device, the slower the unit
will perform.
 If you are having trouble with a third party app, we will do our best to try and help
you but unfortunately it is out of our control if a third party app is causing issues
with the unit or the app itself is malfunconing.
 Not all third party apps are going to be compable with this device.
 Please ensure that you download third party apps from a reputable source as it
possible to corrupt the unit by installing malicious soware.

Steering Wheel Controls
Installaon
Even though the ToyotaLUXX is plug and play, you may sll have to programme in your
steering wheel controls, please see below on how to do this.
Programming in your steering wheel controls
Select Wheel Key study from the main menu
Select and press one of your steering wheel controls.
Once you have selected one of your steering wheel controls, the following screen will
appear:
You can select a dierent funcon for short click and long click.
For example, if I have selected my mode buon, I can select the mode funcon as my short
click and then I can choose the ‘ok google’ funcon for my long click. When I hold down my
mode buon, ‘ok google’ will appear.
Once you have your desired sengs, press ok in the top right hand corner. You will then be
taken back to the SWC Home screen. Select the next steering wheel control that you wish
to programme in and follow the same procedure.
Keep repeang the same procedure to programme each individual SWC seng.

If you are having problems with this unit, please follow these steps:
1) Please contact us on 1300 555 514 or email [e-mail] as there may
be a quick soluon by changing some sengs.
2) If our technician has exhausted all opons and determines that the unit needs to
be sent back for assessment please visit www.polarisgps.com.au >
warranty & returns > returns form. Please print and ll out the return form and
include a copy with the goods. For a speedy return process please try and be as
detailed as possible when describing the fault.
