BeforeinstallingthePentium®IIXeonTMprocessor,makesurethepro-
cessorfrequency issetproperlyaccordingtothespecificationofthe
processor.Whenasingleprocessorisused,onlytheCPUAslot(refer
tochartbelow)canbeselectedtoinstalltheprocessor,whilethe
GTC(GTLTerminatorCard)mustbepluggedintotheCPUBslot.When
dualprocessorsareused,they shouldbeidentical.

TheGeniuX4greenmainboardsupportsthestandardindustrialATXpowersupply.Check
theratingsofthepowersupplyinstalledtoensureitmeetsthefollowing requirements.

Normallythemaximumratingpowerforthepowersupplyinstalled shouldbe atleast300W.
Iftherearetoo manyperipheraldevicesinyoursystem,astrongerpowersupplyis
needed.

The5VSB linecurrentofthepowersupplyshouldbetakenintoconsideration.Ifitisless

Themainboardprovidesthree powerconnectors(J21,J22,J23),asnotedbelow:
1.Usingtwopowersupplies simultaneouslyisprohibited.Thiswill resultin
seriousdamagestoyourmainboard.
2.Connetors(J21,J22,J23)canbeusedonlybyonepowersupplywithrelated
plugs.Forexample,iftwoIntelPentium®IIXeonTMProcessorsareusedon
thesystem,itisnecessarytousethepowersupplywhichhasatleasttwo
powerplugs(abigoneforJ21/J22 andasmall oneforJ23).
The powerswitch(POWER)shouldbeconnected toamomentaryswitch.Whenpowering
upyoursystem,firstturnonthemechanicalswitchofthe powersupply(ifoneispro-
vided),thenpushoncethebuttonofthepowerswitch.Whenpoweringoffthesystem,
you needn’tturnoffthe mechanicalswitch,justpushoncethebuttonofthepowerswitch.
If youchange“soft-off byPWR-BTTN”fromdefault“Instant-off”to“Delay4Secs”in
BIOSSetup (POWERMANAGEMENTSETUP),thepowerbuttonshouldbepressedfor
morethan4secondsbeforethesystempowersdown.
