1. General information
1.1. Introduction
In this User Manual, you will find information on the
safe and proper initial operation, use, maintenance
and care of this medical device.
Read these operating instructions carefully before
using the device.
Follow the safety instructions in particular and
act accordingly.

1.5. Intended use
The article can be used for care purposes in facili-
ties and hospitals as well as for home care pur-
poses.
The sole intended use of the article described
herein is to transport and transfer patients in a sling
and to support them in standing up.

This medical device is not suitable for longer
transport distances or for travelling over uneven
surfaces. It is not designed for other purposes such
as misusing it for transporting objects or the li e.
The medical device is for indoor use only! The
medical device must not be used near life-sustain-
ing devices.
1.6. Operating comfort
The device is equipped with an electrical lifting
drive, crush protection, emergency lowering,

EMERGENCY OFF function and a rechargeable
battery unit.
This rechargeable battery unit allows the device to
be used independently of an external energy
source depending on the charge level of the re-
chargeable battery and thus increases mobility dur-
ing use.
The base frame members can be spread apart eas-
ily by operating the pedal and thus ensure in-
creased stability. The rear castors can easily be
loc ed with the loc ing lever using your foot.
Using the manual switch, the for ed arm can step-
lessly be moved up and down via the linear drive.
2. Warranty
The device has a warranty of 2 years, when re-
specting our general terms and conditions
(https://www.rebotec.de/agbs.html) and the in-
tended use of the device.
Any unauthorised changes to the device without
the consent of the manufacturer will void the war-
ranty.
The delivery date written on the RE O-
TEC delivery note applies as the valid
start date of the warranty period.
. Safety instructions for use
When using the medical device, ob-
serve the following safety instruc-
tions:
Attention - directions for use!
 Before using the device for the first time, the User
Manual must be read completely in order to avoid
damage caused by fault operation or hazards.
 Before each use, chec the device for visible
damage or deficiencies.
 The medical device may only be operated by per-
sons who are familiar with the handling of the de-
vice. This requires the ability to use the device
with patients.
 Standing-up hoists used in wet rooms may be ex-
posed to chlorine, high humidity and heat, which
can lead to oxidation that appears as white coat-
ing.
 In case of malfunctions or damage of any ind,
the device must not be used.
Caution - danger of breakage!
 The max. allowable load must not be ex-
ceeded, as otherwise safe operation can no
longer be guaranteed.
 Whenever using a sling, ma e sure that it is
properly mounted to the for ed arm. Do not use
any sling that shows signs of damage.
 Do not place any objects between the column
and the linear drive. Lateral forces must not be
applied to the linear drive.
 The patient must not hold onto the linear drive.
 Weight loads must not be hung onto the for ed
arm for an extended period of time.
Caution - risk of injury!
 The device must not be operated while it is con-
nected to the mains in order to charge the re-
chargeable battery.
 The device is for indoor use and use on even and
slip-resistant surfaces only. Using the device on
slopes, grades or inclinations must be avoided
due to the increased ris of accidents.
 Caution is required when travelling in confined
spaces. Paths used by the medical device must
be cleared before they are travelled on.
 Sudden movements and pushing as well as
swinging the patient to be moved must be
avoided due to the increased ris of accidents.
 Never leave the patient unsupervised when us-
ing the device! An unforeseen action or move-
ment by the patient may lead to a possible ris of
injury.
 In the event of an emergency lowering of the pa-
tient, proceed with the utmost caution to avoid
putting the patient at ris . In difficult situations,
see the assistance of another person if neces-
sary.
 Chec the hoo s of the for ed arm at regular in-
tervals.
Caution - risk of malfunction!
 It must be assured that no moisture enters the
electrical system.
(Observe the degrees of protection!)
 Do not open the housings of the electronic com-
ponents.
 If the linear drive does not wor (drive must not
start up while it is bloc ed), the device must not
be put into operation.
 Do not charge the rechargeable battery in wet
rooms (e.g.: bathrooms, toilets).
 Pay attention to electromagnetic interference(s)
to other devices (such as mobile phones, medi-
cal devices)!
4. Reuse & lifetime
The device is suitable for reuse. How often the de-
vice can be reused depends on the type and inten-
sity of use. Before reuse, the device must be repro-
cessed hygienically and the technical functional
safety and reliability must be chec ed and restored
if necessary.
If the device is used as intended according to the
safety instructions, its lifetime is 5 years.
The effective lifetime, however, may vary depend-
ing on the frequency and intensity of use and the
general condition.

5. Disposal
The local disposal regulations must be complied
with. Please contact a disposal company for further
information.
6. Scope of delivery
The device has been carefully inspected in the
factory for freedom from defects. Please chec
the device for any possible transport damage and
the completeness of the scope of delivery upon
receipt .
The device will not be delivered assembled com-
pletely.

The Maintenance Instructions and Repro-
cessing Instructions are optionally availa-
ble.
7. Setting up for use
Before using the device for the first time, the follow-
ing assembly processes must be carried out:
7.1. Unpacking
Remove the device from its pac aging and place it
on a level floor.
Bring the pedal in the centre position and then ac-
tuate the bra es of the rear castors (see section
11.).
Attention!
Before raising the column, bring the pedal first in
the centre position in order to avoid any damage.
See also notice on the column.
It is recommended to remove the packag-
ing material at the column and forked arm
only after the column has been set up.
7.2. Installing the control unit
Insert the two clamps of the cable holder into the
support.
Remove the rechargeable battery from the control
unit by pressing the button in position 1 and then
carefully remove rechargeable battery.
Use the two M6x16 screws (1) (included in the de-
livery) and an Allen ey (size 5) to screw the control
unit to the column.
The EMERGENCY OFF switch must face down-
wards to the pedal!
Remove the M6x16 screw at the column on the
handle side.

Then slide the control unit with the lower guide (2)
over the remaining screw.
Then screw the screw bac in again in pos. 3.
Tighten the screw hand-tight.
Reinsert the rechargeable battery. Ma e sure that
the rechargeable battery in pos. 4 clic s into posi-
tion properly.
7. . Installing the column
Remove the ey ring (1) from the bolt and then pull
the bolt completely out of the hole.
Then raise the column.
Reinsert the bolt in the hole to fix the column in the
support.
Then secure the connection again with the ey ring
(2). Then tighten the M10 (3) cap nut.
Remove the pac aging material afterwards.
7.4. Installing the linear drive
In order to connect the linear drive to the for ed
arm, remove the ey ring (1) and the bolt from the
hole of the for ed arm.
Then lift the for ed arm and bring the hole of the
linear drive (1) and the hole of the for ed arm to the
same height.
By inserting the bolt and securing it with the ey
ring, the for ed arm is securely connected to the
linear drive.
Make sure that the key ring is completely
closed!
7.5. Installing the holder with knee protec-
tion
Unscrew the two screws (1) from the base frame
member (A) and then screw the holder (B) to the
nee protection. By loosening the star grip screw
(2), the nee protection can be adjusted in height.

7.6. Connecting the electrical system
Insert the plug of the linear drive in the jac (1).
Please pay attention to the positioning of the re-
cess. Then insert the manual switch in the jac (2).
efore using the device for the first time,
the EMERGENCY OFF switch must be
deactivated. See 9.
8. Charging the rechargeable battery
Recharge the discharged rechargeable
battery as soon as possible! This in-
creases the lifetime of the rechargeable
battery. Rechargeable batteries which are not used
for an extended period of time should be recharged
every three months in order to avoid a deep dis-
charge, as this has a negative impact on the charg-
ing capacity of the rechargeable battery.
The lifetime of the rechargeable battery depends
on the intensity of use and the charge level.
8.1. Connecting & charging
Observe the safety instructions
 Chec the cable or plug to be sure that they are
not damaged.
 Do not use any damaged components!
 Pay attention to the power supply voltage (see
15.) and corresponding power supply fuse pro-
tection for the charging unit.
 Do not open the housings of the electronic com-
ponents.
 During the charging process, the medical de-
vice must not be operated! The electrical
functions are then out of operation.
Insert the flat plug of the charging cable in the con-
trol unit (3) and then secure it using the cable clip
(4).
Please pay attention to the positioning of the re-
cesses. Afterwards, insert the power plug into the
wall soc et.
The charging process may ta e up to ten hours de-
pending on the charge level of the rechargeable
battery. During the charging process, the battery
display of the control unit is flashing.
If the battery bar display lights up continuously, the
rechargeable battery is fully charged (see 8. ). If
the charging process ta es longer than 14 hours,
the rechargeable battery or control unit may be de-
fective.
After charging, pull out the power plug from the wall
soc et and wind the charging cable around the ca-
ble holder of the control unit.
Use the seal plug included in the scope of delivery
to close the connection after each charging pro-
cess in order to prevent the ingress of moisture.
After the power plug has been removed,
the function of the control unit will be
blocked for a few seconds.
8.2. Charge level & control display
The charge level of the rechargeable battery can
be read from the control unit. To switch on the dis-
play, the manual switch must be pressed once.
The EMERGENCY OFF switch must be released
(see 9.).

9. EMERGENCY OFF function
By pressing the EMERGENCY OFF switch, it
loc s into position. The drive unit is interrupted and
can no longer be operated with the manual switch.
It is activated in emergency situations and if the
proper operation of the device is impaired.
By turning the EMERGENCY OFF switch in the
direction of the arrow, it pops bac out and is thus
released. The drive unit can then be operated
again using the manual switch.
10. Manual switch
The manual switch is used to activate the drive unit
(stepless adjustment) and activates the “lifting”
and “lowering” of the for ed arm.
For the desired action, the respective button must
be pressed and held. When releasing the button,
the drive unit stops automatically.

As an alternative, the linear drive can also be ex-
tended (lifted) using the button (1) on the control
unit and retracted (lowered) with the electrical
emergency lowering (2). See 12.1.
11. Braking function of the rear castors
The two rear castors are provided with an important
safe feature when using the device. The rear cas-
tors are equipped with a loc ing bra e and an anti-
swivel protection.
Attention - risk of tipping over!
Always both rear castors must be
locked.

12. Emergency lowering
12.1. Electrical emergency lowering
If the manual switch is out of order due to a defect,
but the electrical system is still functioning (battery
is sufficiently charged), the linear drive can be re-
tracted using the EMERGENCY lowering button.

12.2. Mechanical emergency lowering
If the patient becomes exposed to an emergency
situation, an electrical defect occurs at the drive
motor, the control unit fails or the rechargeable bat-
tery is completely discharged, it is necessary to
use the mechanical emergency lowering.

When using the mechanical emergency lower-
ing, do not stand under the arm.

Grab the red rotary grip with
your hand. For lowering the
drive axis, hold the red ro-
tary grip and turn it in the di-
rection of the arrow.
1 . Stability & spreading the base
The pedal allows spreading the base frame mem-
bers apart and thus facilitates moving the device to
the area of use. Press the foot pedal all the way
down to the stop with your foot.
Attention - risk of tipping over!
Spread the base frame members apart only
when the brakes are released.

14. Forked arm
The for ed arm (B) is intended for mounting slings
in which the patient can be held, raised and trans-
ferred.
The sling must be mounted to one pair of hoo s (1
or 2) to ensure that the load is evenly distributed.
For the individual areas of application, dif-
ferent types of sling systems are available.

17. Cleaning and care
The device can be cleaned using a mild
conventional cleaning and disinfecting
agent. After cleaning, wipe the device with clean
water and a cloth and then wipe it dry with a clean
cloth.
Maximum cleaning temperature of 45  C
must be observed!
The device must not be cleaned in an
automatic cleaning unit!
Do not use scouring or cleaning agents (read and
observe the product information!) that contain ag-
gressive solvents (acids, benzene, thinners) or stiff
cleaning tools (brushes).
Otherwise, this may result in damage to the metal
surface or deposits on the metal parts and other
materials.
17.1. Emergency lowering
The emergency lowering mechanism must not be
treated with oil, grease or other lubricant. This will
lead to malfunctions during the lowering process.
In case of a malfunction of the emergency lowering,
the device must be reset by a maintenance service.
18. Maintenance
Accidents may be caused by the late detection of
wear and/or improper use as well as irregular or no
maintenance.
Please note that, for safety reasons and for
preventing accidents, the medical device
must undergo complete professional
maintenance at least once a year. (Refer to the
German MPG [Medical Devices Act] and German
MP etreibV [Medical Devices Operator Ordi-
nance])

18.1. Scope of maintenance
Please check at regular intervals:
The intervals depend on the frequency of use and
the condition of the device.
 Devices for visible damage
(crac s, brea age, loose parts)
 All screw connections for tightness
(especially the castors and holder)
 Emergency lowering at least twice a year
(Carry out maintenance focusing on malfunc-
tions!)
 Rolling smoothness, functioning of the castors
(replace any defective castors)
 Functioning of the drive unit, manual switch
(replace any defective items)
 All cables, connections and plugs for damage
 Sealing edges of control and rechargeable bat-
tery unit
 EMERGENCY OFF function
 Inspect accessories for deficiencies
18.2. Repair
 If you have any questions concerning the
maintenance and repair of the device, please
contact an authorised dealer or a medical and
healthcare supplies store.
 When performing repair wor , please use only
original REBOTEC spare parts. Observe all
guarantee and warranty information.
 Never ma e any unauthorised modifications or
conversions to the device. These will only ad-
versely affect the safety and functioning of the
device. In such cases, REBOTEC will not as-
sume any product liability.
 Follow all the instructions for ordering spare
parts, reuse and the lifetime of the device.
 After maintenance or repair wor has been car-
ried out, we recommend you to clean the device
for hygienic reasons before using it again. Fol-
low the cleaning and care instructions.
For documenting the maintenance and re-
pair work, RE OTEC provides a Mainte-
nance Report.
You can order the User Manual, Maintenance Re-
port and Reprocessing Instructions or find them on
