1.1 Introduction
•The product described here is a medical device of
risk class I according to (EU) 2017/745 MDR.
•In this user manual, you will find information on the
safe and proper initial operation, use, maintenance
and care of this product.
•Carefully read this user manual before using the
device. Follow the safety instructions and act ac-
cordingly.
2 Features
2.1 Intended purpose
The article is used for raising and moving patients
with mobility impairments. There must be sufficient
upper body musculature for safe use. A knowl-
edgeable caregiver must be present during appli-
cation. The article must be exclusively operated by
this caregiver. The product is not intended for pro-
longed moving and transfer.

Indication
•Significant to full impairment of changing body po-
sition and walking, usually with neuromuscular
damage, amputation of lower limb(s), or neurolog-
ical disease
•To facilitate change of position and short-distance
transport within the home by an assistant/care-
giver
Example diagnoses:
•Restriction of mobility due to illness or disability, in
which the remaining degree of independence is
maintained or increased by optimal use of the re-
maining abilities in the case of deep and incom-
plete paraplegic syndromes or paralysis of the
lower extremities or muscle diseases.
2.2 Conditions of use
•Temperature range: 5 °C to 35 °C; direct radiant
heat on the product must be avoided.
•Relative humidity: up to 75%. Outside of these
conditions, the product must only be used for a
short time.
•The product is not suitable for use in swimming
pools or saunas, as surface discolouration and lim-
itations of mechanical strength may occur.
•Disassembly for transport or storage is possible.
•There must be a flat surface of sufficient size for
the stool to be placed on. See 20.
2.3 Storage & transport
•Temperature range: 5 °C to 25 °C; direct radiant
heat on the product must be avoided.
•Store the product in dry rooms with a humidity of
up to 65%.

2.4 Equipment & functions
•The device is equipped with an electrical lifting
drive, crush protection, emergency lowering,
EMERGENCY OFF function and a rechargeable
battery unit. This rechargeable battery unit allows
the device to be used independently of an external
energy source depending on the charge level of
the rechargeable battery and thus increases mo-
bility during use.
•The base frame members can be spread apart
easily by operating the pedal and thus ensure in-
creased stability. The rear castors can easily be
locked with the locking lever using your foot. Using
the manual switch, the forked arm can steplessly
be moved up and down via the linear drive.
2.5 Packaging
•We recommend you keep the packaging for a later
transport.
•Dimensions: 650 mm x 1230 mm x 350 mm
2.6 Disposal
•Disposal and recycling of used products and pack-
aging must be carried out in accordance with cur-
rently valid regulations. Please contact a disposal
company for further information.
•The Infection Protection Act must be observed.
•Please observe any labels and information on
packaging material and act accordingly.

4 Safety instructions
Please observe the following safety in-
structions:
•Before using the device for the first
time, the User Manual must be read completely in
order to avoid damage caused by fault operation
or hazards.
•Before each use, check the device for visible dam-
age or deficiencies.
•The medical device may only be operated by per-
sons who are familiar with the handling of the de-
vice. This requires the ability to use the device with
patients.
•Standing-up hoists used in wet rooms may be ex-
posed to chlorine, high humidity and heat, which
may lead to oxidation that appears as white coat-
ing. In case of malfunctions or damage of any kind,
the article must not be used.
•In case of malfunctions or damage of any kind, the
device must not be used.
Caution: Danger of breakage!
•The max. allowable load must not be exceeded, as
otherwise safe operation can no longer be guaran-
teed.
•Whenever using a sling, make sure that it is
properly mounted to the forked arm. Do not use
any sling that shows signs of damage.
•Do not place any objects between the column and
the linear drive. Lateral forces must not be applied
to the linear drive.
•The patient must not hold onto the linear drive.
•Weight loads must not be hung onto the forked
arm for an extended period of time.
Caution: Risk of injury!
•The device must not be operated while it is con-
nected to the mains in order to charge the re-
chargeable battery.
•The device is for indoor use and use on even and
slip-resistant surfaces only. Using the device on
slopes, grades or inclinations must be avoided due
to the increased risk of accidents.
•Caution is required when travelling in confined
spaces. Paths used by the medical device must be
cleared before they are travelled on.
•Sudden movements and pushing as well as swing-
ing the patient to be moved must be avoided due
to the increased risk of accidents.
•Never leave the patient unsupervised when using
the device! An unforeseen action or movement by
the patient may lead to a possible risk of injury.
•In the event of an emergency lowering of the pa-
tient, proceed with the utmost caution to avoid put-
ting the patient at risk. In difficult situations, seek
the assistance of another person if necessary.
•Check the hooks of the forked arm at regular inter-
vals.
Caution risk of malfunction!
•It must be assured that no moisture enters the
electrical system. (Observe the degrees of protec-
tion!)
•Do not open the housings of the electronic compo-
nents.
•If the linear drive does not work (drive must not
start up while it is blocked), the device must not be
put into operation.

•Do not charge the rechargeable battery in wet
rooms (e.g.: bathrooms, toilets).
•Pay attention to electromagnetic interference(s) to
other devices (such as mobile phones, medical de-
vices)!
5 Incident reporting
•Serious incidents in connection with the product
must be reported immediately to the manufacturer
and BfArM.

6 Warranty
•For this product the manufacturer grants a war-
ranty of 12 months. Compliance with the general
terms and conditions(www.rebotec.de/agbs), as
well as the intended use, are a basic prerequisite.
The statutory warranty provisions shall apply.
•Unauthorised modifications to this product will void
the product’s conformity and the warranty.
6.1 Complaint
•Please contact us before returning the product.
•To reduce transport damage, use the original
packaging if possible.
•The Infection Protection Act must be complied
with.
Please make sure that the product does not
pose a risk of infection when returned.
Enclose the information sheet on safety with the
product.
Costs may incur for returns that are not marked
non-objectionable.
7 Reuse, lifetime
•The product is suitable for reuse. How often the
product can be reused depends on the frequency
and nature of use.
•Before reuse, the product must be reprocessed hy-
gienically and the technical and functional safety
and reliability of the product must be checked and
restored if necessary. See 18.
For more detailed information, please see the
reprocessing instructions (02.12.160) and the
maintenance instructions (02.11.152).

years. The effective lifetime may vary depending
on the frequency and intensity of use and the gen-
eral condition.

9 Setting up for use
•The product has been carefully inspected in the
factory for freedom from defects and complete-
ness. Please check the product for any possible
damage which may have occurred during transport
and for completeness of the scope of delivery upon
receipt.
9.1 Unpacking
•Remove the device from its packaging and place it
on a level floor.
•Bring the pedal to the centre position and then ap-
ply the brakes of the rear castors

Attention!
Before raising the column, bring the pedal first to the
centre position in order to avoid any damage. See
also notice on the column.
It is recommended to remove the packaging
material at the column and forked arm only
after the column has been set up.
9.2 Installing the control unit
•Insert the two clamps of the cable holder into the
support.
•Remove the rechargeable battery from the control
unit by pressing the button in position 1 and then
carefully remove rechargeable battery.
Use the two M6x16 screws (1) (included in the deliv-
ery) and an Allen key (size 5) to screw the control unit
to the column.
•The EMERGENCY OFF switch must face down-
wards to the pedal!
•Remove the M6x16 screw at the column on the
handle side.
•Then slide the control unit with the lower guide (2)
over the remaining
•Then re-insert and tighten the screw again in pos.
3. Tighten the screw hand-tight
•Reinsert the rechargeable battery. Make sure that
the rechargeable battery in pos. 4 clicks into posi-
tion properly.

9.3 Installing the column
Remove the key ring (1) from the bolt and then pull
the bolt completely out of the hole.
•Then raise the column. Reinsert the bolt in the hole
to fix the column in the support.
•Then secure the connection again with the key ring
(2). Then tighten the M10 (3) cap nut.
•Remove the packaging material afterwards.
9.4 Installing the linear drive
•In order to connect the linear drive to the forked
arm, remove the key ring (1) and the bolt from the
hole of the forked arm
•Then lift the forked arm and bring the hole of the
linear drive (1) and the hole of the forked arm to
the same height.
•By inserting the bolt and securing it with the key
ring, the forked arm is securely connected to the
linear drive.
Make sure that the key ring is completely
closed!
9.5 Installing the holder with knee pro-
tection
•Unscrew the two screws (1) from the base frame
member (A) and then screw the holder (B) to the
knee protection. By loosening the star grip screw
(2), the knee protection can be adjusted in height.
9.6 Connecting the electrical system
•Insert the plug of the linear drive in the jack (1).
Observe correct positioning
•of the recess. Then insert the manual switch in the
jack (2).
Before using the device for the first time, the
EMERGENCY OFF switch must be deac-
tivated. See 11.

10 Charging the rechargeable bat-
tery
Recharge the discharged rechargeable bat-
tery as soon as possible! This increases the
lifetime of the rechargeable battery. Re-
chargeable batteries which are not used for an ex-
tended period of time should be recharged every
three months in order to avoid a deep discharge,
as this has a negative impact on the charging ca-
pacity of the rechargeable battery.
The lifetime of the rechargeable battery depends
on the intensity of use and the charge level.
10.1 Connecting & charging
Observe the safety instructions
•Check the cable or plug to be sure that they are
not damaged.
•Do not use any damaged components!
•Pay attention to the power supply voltage (see 17.)
and corresponding power supply fuse protection
for the charging unit.
•Do not open the housings of the electronic compo-
nents.
•During the charging process, the medical device
must not be operated! The electrical functions are
then out of operation.
•Insert the flat plug of the charging cable in the con-
trol unit (3) and then secure it using the cable clip
(4).
•Please pay attention to the positioning of the re-
cesses. Afterwards, insert the power plug into the
wall socket
•The charging process may take up to ten hours de-
pending on the charge level of the rechargeable
battery. During the charging process, the battery
display of the control unit is flashing.
•When all the bars on battery display are full, the
rechargeable battery is fully charged (see 10.3). If
the charging process takes longer than 14 hours,
the rechargeable battery or control unit may be de-
fective.
•After charging, pull out the power plug from the
wall socket and wind the charging cable around
the cable holder of the control unit.
•Use the seal plug included in the scope of delivery
to close the connection after each charging pro-
cess in order to prevent the ingress of moisture.
After the power plug has been removed,
the function of the control unit will be
blocked for a few seconds.
10.2 Charge level & control display
•The charge level of the rechargeable battery can
be read from the control unit. To switch on the dis-
play, the manual switch must be pressed once.
The EMERGENCY OFF switch must be released
(see 11).

11 EMERGENCY OFF function
•By pressing the EMERGENCY OFF switch, it locks
into position. The drive unit is interrupted and can
no longer be operated with the manual switch. It is
activated in emergency situations and if the proper
operation of the device is impaired.
•By turning the EMERGENCY OFF switch in the di-
rection of the arrow, it pops back out and is thus
released. The drive unit can then be operated
again using the manual switch.
12 Manual switch
•The manual switch is used to activate the drive unit
(stepless adjustment) and activates the “lifting”
and “lowering” of the forked arm.
•For the desired action, the respective button must
be pressed and held. When releasing the button,
the drive unit stops automatically.
•As an alternative, the linear drive can also be ex-
tended (lifted) using the button (1) on the control
unit and retracted (lowered) with the electrical
emergency lowering (2). See 14.1.
13 Braking function of the rear cas-
tors
•The two rear castors are provided with an im-
portant safety feature for using the device. The
rear castors are equipped with a locking brake and
an anti-swivel protection.
Attention risk of tipping over!
Always both rear castors must be
locked.

14 Emergency lowering
14.1 Electrical emergency lowering
•If the manual switch is out of order due to a defect,
but the electrical system is still functioning (battery
is sufficiently charged), the linear drive can be re-
tracted using the EMERGENCY lowering button
14.2 Mechanical emergency lowering
•If the patient becomes exposed to an emergency
situation, an electrical defect occurs at the drive
motor, the control unit fails or the rechargeable
battery is completely discharged, it is necessary to
use the mechanical emergency lowering.

15 Stability & spreading the base
•The pedal allows spreading the base frame mem-
bers apart and thus facilitates moving the device to
the area of use. Press the foot pedal all the way
down to the stop with your foot

16 Forked arm
•The forked arm (B) is intended for mounting slings
in which the patient can be held, raised and trans-
ferred.
•The sling must be mounted to one pair of hooks (1
or 2) to ensure that the load is evenly distributed.
For the individual areas of application, differ-
ent types of sling systems are available.

18 Care and maintenance
18.Pflege
The product can be cleaned using a mild
conventional cleaning and disinfecting
agent. After cleaning, wipe the product with a clean,
moist cloth and then wipe it dry with a dry cloth.
Maximum cleaning temperature of 45  C
must be observed!
The device must not be cleaned
in an automatic cleaning unit!
•Do not use scouring agents or cleaning agents
with aggressive ingredients (acids, thinners), as
well as hard cleaning objects (brushes), as other-
wise the surfaces may be damaged or deposits
may form on the materials.
•The product is suitable for machine cleaning and
disinfection. Please observe the reprocessing in-
structions (02.12.160).
18.1 Emergency lowering
•The emergency lowering mechanism must not be
treated with oil, grease or other lubricant. This will
lead to malfunctions during the lowering process.
In case of a malfunction of the emergency lower-
ing, the device must be reset by a maintenance
service.
18.2 Maintenance
•Accidents may be caused by the late detection of
wear and/or improper use as well as irregular or no
maintenance.
We urgently recommend that for safety rea-
sons and to avoid accidents, the medical de-
vice be professionally maintained at least
once a year.
18.3 Scope of maintenance
Please check at regular intervals:
The intervals depend on the frequency of use and the
condition of the device.
•Products for visible damage (cracks, breaks, loose
parts)
•All bolted connections for tightness (especially the
wheels and brackets/holders)
•Check emergency lowering at least every six
months (carry out malfunction maintenance!)
•Running characteristics, function of the wheels (re-
place defective wheels)
•Function of the actuator, manual switch (replace
defective items)
•All cables, connections and plugs for damage
•Sealing edges of control and rechargeable battery
unit
•EMERGENCY OFF function
•Inspect accessories for deficiencies

18.4 Repair
•If you have any questions concerning the mainte-
nance and repair of the device, please contact an
authorised dealer or a medical and healthcare sup-
plies store.
•When performing repair work, please use only
original REBOTEC spare parts. Observe all guar-
antee and warranty information.
•Never make any unauthorised modifications or
conversions to the device. These will only ad-

port and Reprocessing Instructions or find them on

It is also possible to print the information and read
it when needed.

nance of the product, please contact an authorised
dealer or a medical and healthcare supplies store.
•In the event of damage and/or repairs, contact
your authorised dealer immediately.
•Never attempt any unauthorised modifications or
conversions to the product. These may impair the
safety and proper functioning of the product. In
such cases, REBOTEC will not assume any lia-
bility.
•Only use OEM spare parts for repairs. See 6.
•Please note section 20 and 7.
