ASSEMBLY
An adult should assemble the box and choose the objects that are used with it. The Box should
have interesting and safe items hung from its roof and along each of the sides before use. All
objects chosen must be securely attached with strong cord to the rings provided. Avoid the use of
any elasticated attachments which could recoil and snap or cause injury on rebounding. Check
that all these objects are securely attached to the rings before use. For example, you could use an
empty plastic beaker as a voice amplifier. This could be hung from the ceiling so that it is
suspended over the child’s face. Any laughter or babbling from the child will echo and may
motivate him or her to make more sounds.
Screw the two black cross knobs through the Box sides into the yellow bar before use.
When attaching objects you may wish to refrain from moving objects onto different rings too often
as this may remove the child’s opportunity to learn that a certain movement will always bring
him/her into contact with a certain object.
Whilst use of this product should always be supervised, you may wish to take a non-directional
approach and allow the child to explore the objects alone. The child may be inactive in the box
and may be happy to look at the objects long before he or she is happy to explore them by touch.
You may find it most beneficial to use the Be Active Box in a quiet environment to avoid
distractions. For example, a visually impaired child may become concerned with sounds outside
the box to make their own sounds using the objects in it. Turn off the TV or radio!
PACKING AWAY: It will not be immediately apparent to anyone using the Be Active Box for the
first time that the left-hand panel folds in an outward direction. Therefore, take care when folding
the Box not to strain the hinges by attempting to fold it in the wrong direction. If fairly flat objects
are hung along the sides then the Box can be folded with the objects still in position. Objects will
need to be flipped over from one side when the Box is folded.
SAFETY: Always supervise the use of this product. Do not attach objects with sharp points or
edges. Do not use objects with detachable parts. Do not choose objects that could be swallowed
if the child does manage to detach them from the rings.

Un adulte devrait assembler la boîte et choisir des objets qui seront suspendus du dessus et des
côtés de la boîte. Ces objets devraient être intéressants et surs. Attachez ces objets avant de
l’usage en vous servant d’une corde forte et des anneaux fournis – vérifiez qu’ils sont bien
attachés. Ne pas se servir des objets élastiqués. Par exemple, on pourrait se servir d’un gobelet
en plastique comme amplificateur de la voix. On pourrait suspendre ce gobelet au-dessus de la
bouche de l’enfant pour faire écho ses sons – par conséquent on peut encourager l’enfant de plus
parler.
Vissez les poignées noires à travers les côtés de la boîte et dans la barre jaune avant de l’usage.
Évitez de changer souvent la position des objets suspendus – sinon on risque de confondre
l’enfant. Il faut superviser l’usage de ce produit mais ne pas diriger l’activité – l’enfant devrait
explorer les objets sans interruption.
Servez-vous de ce produit dans un lieu tranquille – éteignez la télé et la radio !
ENTREPOSAGE: Le côté de gauche se plie vers l’extérieur. Par conséquent, prenez soin en
pliant la boîte pour ne pas tendre les charnières – ne pas plier la boîte vers l’intérieur. Si on
suspend des objets assez plats des côtés de la boîte, on peut plier la boîte sans enlever les
objets. Passez ces objets par-dessus le côté si nécessaire avant de plier la boîte.
SÛRETÉ: Il faut toujours surveiller l’usage de ce produit. Ne pas attacher des objets pointus ou
tranchants. Ne pas attacher les objets aux parties détachables. Ne pas choisir des objets si
petits que l’enfant pourrait les avaler s’il arrive à les détacher des anneaux.

MONTAGE
Die Box sollte von einem Erwachsenen zusammengebaut werden, der auch die mit ihr zu
benutzenen Objekte auswählt. Die Box sollte vor Gebrauch mit interessanten und sicheren
Dingen, die von ihrer Decke und ihren Seiten hängen, ausgestattet werden. Alle ausgewählten
Objekte müssen mit festem Band an den dafür vorgesehenen Ringen befestigt werden.
Vermeiden Sie elastische Bänder. Überprüfen Sie, dass alle Objekte gut an den Ringen befestigt
sind, bevor Sie die Box benutzen. Sie können zum Beispiel einen Plastikbecher als Flüstertüte
benutzen. Vor Gebrauch schrauben Sie die beiden schwarzen Kreuzknäufe durch die Seiten der
Box in den gelben Balken.
Beim Anbringen der Objekte kann es sinnvoll sein, immer die gleichen Ringe für die gleichen
Objekte zu benutzen, damit der Benutzer lernt, dass eine bestimmte Bewegung Kontakt zu einem
bestimmten Objekt erlaubt.
Der Gebrauch dieses Produktes sollte stets unter Aufsicht stattfinden, Sie können den Benutzer
aber trotzdem die Objekte alleine erforschen lassen. Der Benutzer kann sich z.B. sehr lange die
einzelnen Objekte ansehen, bevor er das Verlangen hat diese Objekte auch anzufassen.
Es kann von Vorteil sein, diese Box in ruhiger Umgebung zu benutzen, wo es keine Ablenkung,
z.B. durch einen Fernseher, gibt.
AUFBEWAHRUNG: Es mag dem Benutzer der Sei aktiv Box beim ersten Gebrauch nicht sofort
klar sein, dass die linke Seite nach außen wegklappt. Wenn Sie die Box zusammenfalten, achten
Sie darauf, die Scharniere nicht durch Falten in die falsche Richtung zu beschädigen. Wenn Sie
recht flache Objekte an den Seiten der Box angebracht heben, so brauchen Sie diese vor dem
Zusammenfalten nicht unbedingt zu entfernen. Die Objekte müssen zur anderen Seite gelegt
werden, wenn Sie die Box zusammenfalten
SICHERHEIT: Dieses Produkt sollte nur unter Aufsicht benutzt werden. Bringen Sie keine
Objekte mit scharfen Kanten oder Spitzen an. Benutzen Sie keine Objekte mit abnehmbaren
Einzelteilen. Benutzen Sie keinerlei Objekte, die verschluckt werden könnten, falls sie sich von
den Ringen lösten.

A caixa deve ser montada por um adulto que deve escolher os objetos que são usados. A caixa
deve ter itens seguros e interessantes pendurados no teto e ao longo de cada um dos lados,
antes de ser utilizada. Todos os objetos selecionados devem estar bem presos com cordel nas
argolas fornecidas. Evite a utilização de elásticos para prender os objetos pois podem rebentar
ou causar ferimentos com o ressalto. Verifique se todos os objetos estão bem fixos nas argolas
antes de utilizar. Por exemplo, pode utilizar um copo plástico vazio como amplificador vocal.
Poderia estar pendurado no teto de forma que estivesse suspenso por cima da face da criança.
Qualquer riso ou balbucio da criança irá fazer eco e pode motivá-la a fazer mais sons.
Antes de utilizar, aparafuse os dois parafusos pretos através das laterais da caixa até à barra
amarela.
Quando estiver a prender objetos, pode querer evitar mover objetos em diferentes argolas com
muita frequência pois isso pode tirar à criança a oportunidade de aprender que um determinado
movimento vai sempre pô-la em contacto com um certo objeto.
A utilização deste produto deve ser sempre supervisionada, pode ter uma abordagem não
direcionada e permitir que a criança explore os objetos sozinha. A criança pode ficar inativa
quando está na caixa e pode ficar feliz por olhar para os objetos muito antes de os explorar
através do toque.
Se achar benéfico, pode utilizar a caixa num ambiente mais sossegado para evitar distrações.
Por exemplo, uma criança com deficiência visual pode ficar demasiado preocupada com os sons
fora da caixa para fazer os seus próprios sons, utilizando os objetos da caixa. Desligue o rádio ou
televisão!
COMO GUARDAR: Para quem utiliza a caixa pela primeira vez, pode não ser imediatamente
aparente que o painel esquerdo dobra na direção do exterior. Tenha cuidado quando estiver a
dobrar a caixa para não esforçar as dobradiças tentando virá-las na direção errada. Se pendurar
bastantes objetos achatados ao longo das laterais, a caixa pode ser dobrada com os objetos
ainda em posição. Vai ser necessário virar os objetos de um lado quando a caixa é dobrada.
SEGURANÇA
Supervisione sempre a utilização deste produto. Não pendure objetos com pontos ou cantos
afiados. Não utilize objetos com peças destacáveis. Não selecione objetos que possam ser
engolidos se a criança conseguir desprendê-los das argolas.
