1 Product Overview
1.1 Introduction to RG-RSR30-XA Series
RG-RSR30-XA series multi-service routers are centralized devices with high-performance processing and high-
density access capabilities. It supports the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), IP multicast protocols, and rich QoS
features, provides power modules in redundancy mode, and allows users to configure optional modules. They
can function as core routers on small- and medium-sized enterprise networks, or aggregation routers on large-
scale industry networks. The RG-RSR30-XA has one model: RG-RSR30-XA-24.

It supports the FAT32 file format and connects to a USB flash drive.
Non-USB 2.0 devices are not supported. This port allows you to read
the configuration from the storage device or save the configuration to
the storage device.

FUNC button
After the FUNC button is pressed, the system will reset and restart
according to the original software version.

Note
Power modules in 1+1 redundancy mode use the active/standby mode. That is, only one power module
works at one time, and the other power supply is in standby mode. The power module that works or is in
standby mode is random.
The power module in standby mode is not working, so it discharges slowly. If you turn off the power
module in standby mode, the power status LED turns off after a period of time. In specific environments,
the interval for the power status LED to turn off varies depending on the power charge.

Hot swapping button: When you press and hold the button for more than 3
seconds, the RDY LED stats blinking. After the button is released, the module
completes uninstallation. When the RDY LED is off, the module can be hot-
swapped.
Warning
The HSIC-2E1/CE1 service module can be only installed in slot 2, slot 4, or slot 5.

Warning

3. Cables
One HSIC-4G-LTE service module needs to be used with two antennas.
You only need to connect the external antenna to the external antenna interface ANT 0 or ANT 1 correctly,
and rotate and fasten them.
Warning
The external antenna must be installed or removed only when the device is powered off. The external antenna
does not support hot swapping. Otherwise, it may be damaged.
1.5 Pluggable Modules
The SFP+ optical port supports SFP and SFP+ modules, which can be selected as needed. The following types
