1 Product Introduction
1.1 Overview
The RG-AP180(V3) is a dual-band 802.11ax-compliant access point (AP) released by Ruijie
Networks for indoor scenarios in the general education, higher education, hotel, office
and dormitory. With simple and beautiful appearance design, the RG-AP180(V3) can be
deployed without damaging the wall decoration. It is the optimal choice for wireless
network deployment in hotels and dormitories.
The AP adopts the latest 802.11ax protocol and dual-band technology. The 2.4 GHz Radio
Frequency Processing Unit (RPU) provides a maximum access rate of 574 Mbps, and the
5 GHz RPU provides a maximum access rate of 2.402 Gbps. In this way, this AP can
provide a maximum access rate of 2.976 Gbps, which eliminates the bottleneck in
wireless performance. The RG-AP180(V3) provides five wired ports, including four 1000
Mbps LAN ports and one 1000 Mbps uplink port, for wired access. The design of the AP
considers factors such as wireless network security, radio control, mobile access, Quality
of Service (QoS), and seamless roaming. Working with Ruijie wireless access controllers
(AC), the AP implements user data forwarding, security, and access control.
The RG-AP180(V3) supports local power supply and power over Ethernet (PoE).
Customers can flexibly select the power supply mode based on the site environment.
1.2 Product Appearance
The RG-AP180(V3) has two RF ports and five Ethernet ports. The Ethernet ports on the
rear support 802.3af/at-compliant PoE. It also has one micro USB console port, one DC
power port used to connect with the external power supply, and one reset button. The
following figures show the product appearance.
