NORME PER LA SICUREZZA E LA PREVENZIONE DEGLI
INFORTUNI
Le istruzioni per la sicurezza e la prevenzione degli infortuni sono
riportate nel fascicolo “INDICAZIONI PER LA SICUREZZA” che
costituisce parte integrante della presente documentazione; il
libretto d’istruzioni per l’uso riporta solamente le informazioni
aggiuntive strettamente correlate all’uso specifico della macchina.
Non fare funzionare mai gli utensili senza i dispositivi di protezione
montati. Ogni operazione sulla macchina venga eseguita a spina
disinserita. Prima dell'azionamento la macchina sia saldamente
impugnata e non sia a contatto con la superficie di lavoro. Indossate
abiti adatti a svolgere il lavoro che state per compiere. Se durante la
levigatura si formano polveri nocive alla salute, l’apparecchio deve
essere collegato ad un adatto dispositivo di aspirazione (non
fornito): proteggere le vie respiratorie con dispositivi a norma di
legge e rispettare le disposizioni di sicurezza valide per il materiale
sottoposto a lavorazione. A causa dei rischi che possono insorgere
durante la levigatura, si raccomanda di utilizzare sempre tutti i D.P.I.
(dispositivi di protezione individuale, quali guanti, cuffie, occhiali
protettivi, maschere per protezione delle vie respiratorie ecc.)
secondo le normative di legge vigenti per prevenire o ridurre le
possibilità di incidenti.
Attenzione! l'utensile continua per alcuni secondi a funzionare dopo
lo spegnimento!
UTILIZZO CONFORME AGLI SCOPI PREVISTI
Le macchine devono essere utilizzate solo per la levigatura a secco
di legno, plastica, materiali compositi, vernice, stucco e materiali si-
mili. Non sono previste per la lavorazione di metalli e di materiali con-
tenenti amianto. Le macchine non devono funzionare in ambiente
umido o in presenza di gas o liquidi infiammabili. Controllare che il
pezzo da lavorare sia sufficientemente fissato. In caso di utilizzo non
conforme agli scopi previsti, l’utilizzatore si assume ogni respon-
sabilità per eventuali danni ed incidenti.

MESSA IN FUNZIONE
Prima di mettere in funzione la macchina accertarsi che:
- l’imballo sia integro e non mostri segni di danneggiamento
dovuti a trasporto e magazzinaggio;
- la macchina sia completa; controllare che numero e natura dei
componenti siano conformi a quanto riportato sul presente
libretto;
- la fonte di energia e le prese di corrente a disposizione possano
sopportare il carico indicato in tabella e riportato sulla targhetta
d’identificazione della macchina il cui facsimile, con spiegazioni,
è riportato a pag. 7.
MONTAGGIO DELLA MACCHINA
Collegare il dispositivo di aspirazione al bocchettone (10) il tubo
di aspirazione.
MONTAGGIO DELLA CARTA ABRASIVA

VERSIONE PIASTRA GOMMA FORATA
- Sollevare la leva fermacarta (7) premendo sull’apposita appendice;
- inserire la carta abrasiva sotto la leva fino alla battuta quindi rila-
sciare la leva;
- ripetere le operazioni precedenti sul lato opposto della piastra,
tenendo ben tesa la carta e controllare che i bordi siano paralle-
li al bordo della piastra gomma (6), prima di rilasciare la leva;
- forare la carta con l’attrezzo (8).

VERSIONE PIASTRA GOMMA FORATA VELCRATA
- Premere il foglio di carta abrasiva velcrata sulla piastra avendo
cura che i fori della carta siano in corrispondenza di quelli della
piastra di gomma;
- fare attenzione che la piastra velcro non presenti tracce di pol-
vere o altro.
PRIMA DELLA MESSA IN SERVIZIO
Accertarsi che:
- la fonte di energia sia conforme alle caratteristiche della macchina;
- cavo di alimentazione e relativa spina siano in perfetto stato;
- l'interruttore di inserimento/disinserimento sia efficiente operando,
però, a spina disinserita;
- tutti i componenti della macchina siano montati correttamente e
non presentino segni di danneggiamento;
- le feritoie di ventilazione non siano ostruite (9);
- la macchina sia correttamente collegata ad un sistema
d’aspirazione idoneo ed efficiente (10).
AVVIAMENTO E FERMATA
- Avviamento: spingere in avanti la slitta dell'interruttore (2); qua-
lora se ne desideri il bloccaggio in posizione “inserito” premere
contemporaneamente sulla parte anteriore della slitta.
- Fermata: rilasciare la slitta o, qualora sia bloccata, spingere sul-
la parte posteriore e lasciare che la stessa ritorni nella posizione
di “arresto”.
FUNZIONAMENTO DI PROVA
Avviare la macchina e controllare che non siano presenti vibrazioni
anomale o scentrature della carta abrasiva.
In caso contrario spegnere la macchina immediatamente e
provvedere ad eliminare le anomalie.

REGOLAZIONE DEL NUMERO DEI GIRI
La regolazione del numero di giri si ottiene manovrando opportu-
namente la rotella (3) posta nella parte posteriore della macchina. La
scelta della velocità va fatta in funzione delle caratteristiche dei dischi
di carta abrasiva e del materiale da lavorare.
REGOLAZIONE DEL FLUSSO DI ASPIRAZIONE
Il flusso di aspirazione può essere regolato ruotando la ghiera (4).
SOSTITUZIONE DELLA CARTA ABRASIVA

- Sollevare le leve fermacarta (7) premendo sulle apposite appendici
e rimuovere il foglio usato;
- rimontare il nuovo foglio seguendo le istruzioni indicate nel capitolo
“MONTAGGIO DELLA CARTA ABRASIVA”.

VERSIONE PIASTRA GOMMA FORATA VELCRATA
- Asportare a strappo il foglio di carta usato;
- montare a pressione il nuovo foglio avendo cura che i fori praticati
sullo stesso coincidano con i fori di aspirazione praticati sulla piastra.
UTENSILI DI LAVORO AMMESSI
Fogli di carta abrasiva per levigatrici orbitali; per il modello con pia-
stra gomma forata velcrata utilizzare carta abrasiva appositamente
predisposta.
MANUTENZIONE
Tutte le operazioni vanno eseguite a spina disinserita.
A fine lavoro, od in caso di necessità, spolverare con getto di aria
compressa il corpo macchina prestando particolare attenzione alla
pulizia delle feritoie di ventilazione del motore.
Non sono ammessi altri interventi da parte dell'utente.
Per la manutenzione e la periodica pulizia delle parti interne, come
spazzole, cuscinetti, ingranaggi, etc. o altre necessità rivolgersi ai
Centri di Assistenza autorizzati.
SICUREZZA ELETTRICA - BASSA TENSIONE
Le prove/verifiche sono state eseguite in accordo alle norme:
EN 60745-1 sicurezza degli utensili elettrici a motore portatili
EN 60745-2-4 norme particolari per levigatrici.

Le macchine sono conformi agli effetti della prevenzione ed elimina-
zione dei radiodisturbi misurati secondo le norme EN55014-1+
EN55014-2; EN61000-3-2+EN61000-3-3.
FORMAZIONE DI RUMORE
Il livello equivalente di pressione sonora (rumorosità) è di 81,7 dB (A),
misurati secondo le norme EN ISO 3744 + UNI EN ISO 11202.
Attenzione: indossare adeguati presidi per la difesa dell'udito!

dalla data di acquisto contro difetti di materiale e di fabbricazione. Le
macchine devono essere utilizzate esclusivamente con accessori e ri-
cambi originali RUPES: si declina ogni responsabilità per danni o inci-
denti provocati dall’inosservanza della presente norma che causa anche
il decadimento della garanzia. La garanzia decade qualora non vengano
rispettate le prescrizioni del presente libretto o qualora venga fatto uso
improprio della macchina. Decade altresì se la macchina viene smontata
o manomessa o se vi sono evidenti danni derivanti da cattiva cura della
stessa. La garanzia è subordinata alla compilazione del tagliando ri-
portato sull’ultima pagina di copertina del presente libretto d'istru-
zioni. In caso di accertato malfunzionamento la macchina, accompa-
gnata dal certificato di garanzia, dovrà essere consegnata o spedita fran-
co di porto, non smontata e nell'imballo originale, al fabbricante o ad un
Centro di Assistenza autorizzato riportato nell'elenco allegato al presente
libretto. In ogni caso la garanzia non dà diritto alla sostituzione della mac-
china. La RUPES Spa si riserva di apportare qualsiasi modifica alle carat-
teristiche tecniche o estetiche dei propri prodotti senza preavviso. Non si
assume nessuna responsabilità per eventuali errori di stampa. Il presente
stampato annulla e sostituisce i precedenti.

SAFETY AND ACCIDENT PREVENTION INSTRUCTIONS
The safety and accident prevention instructions are reported in the
“SAFETY INSTRUCTION” booklet which forms an integral part of
these documents; the operating instructions indicate the additional
information required specifically for use of the tool.
Never use the tools without the safety guards.
Any operations carried out on the tool must be effected with the power
supply disconnected.
Before starting the tool, ensure that it is held tightly and not in contact
with the work surface.
Wear clothing suited to the work you are about to perform.
The electric tool must be connect to a suitable dust extraction unit
(not supplied): use regulation safety devices for personal protection
and observe safety norms valid for the processed work material.
Due to risks that may arise during sanding, we recommend the con-
stant use of P.S.D. (personal safety devices such as gloves, headpho-
nes, goggles, face masks, etc.) according to laws in force to prevent
or reduce accident probability.
Warning! the appliance continues to work for a few seconds after it
has been switched off!
CORRECT USAGE
The sanders are designed for sanding wood, plastic, composite
materials, paint/varnish, filling material and similar materials.
Metal and materials with an asbestos content must not be processed
with these tools.
The machine must not be operated in humid environments or in the
presence of flammable gas or liquids.
Make sure the work piece is sufficiently fastened.
In the event of improper use, the user is fully liable for any damages or
accidents.
GENERAL WARNINGS
The tool must be connected to a suitable dust extraction system (not supplied).

STARTING UP
Before starting-up the tool, ensure that:
- the packaging is complete and does not show signs of having been
damaged during storage or transport;
- the tool is complete; check that the number and type of
components comply with that reported in this instruction booklet;
- the power supply and socket outlet can support the load reported in
the table and that indicated on the tool identification plate
reproduced and explained on page 11.
ASSEMBLING THE TOOL
Connect the extraction device by the suction pipe in the nozzle (10).
INSERTING THE ABRASIVE PAPER

DRILLED RUBBER PLATE VERSION
- Lift the paper clamping lever (7) by pressing the lever release;
- insert the abrasive paper under the lever until it rests against the
stop, then release the lever;
- repeat this operation on the opposite side of the plate, keeping the
paper taut and checking that the edges are parallel with the edges
of the plate before releasing the lever;
- punch the paper using the tool supplied (8).

VELCROED DRILLED RUBBER PLATE VERSION
- Press the velcro backed abrasive paper in position, ensuring that
the holes in the paper coincide with the suction holes in the rubber
plate;
- make sure that there is no dust or other matter on the velcro pad.
BEFORE STARTING THE TOOL
Ensure that:
- the power supply conforms with the characteristics of the tool;
- the power supply cable and plug are in perfect condition;
- the ON/OFF switch works properly though with the power supply di-
sconnected;
- all the parts of the tool have been assembled in the proper manner
and that there are no signs of damage;
- the ventilation slots are not obstructed (9);
- the tool must be connected to a suitable and efficient dust extrac-
tion system (10).
STARTING AND STOPPING
- Starting: push the slide of the switch (2) forward; if the tool is to be
locked in the ON position, apply pressure to the front part of the sli-
de switch at the same time.
- Stopping: release the slide or, if locked in position, apply pressure to
the back part of the switch and allow it to return to the stop position.
TEST RUN
Start the tool and check that there are no unusual vibration, no dismat-
ching of the abrasive paper.
Otherwise switch-off the tool immediately and eliminate the cause.

SELECTING THE RPM
The rpm can be adjusted by rotating the wheel (3) located on the rear
of the tool. The choice of speed depends on the characteristics of the
abrasive paper disc and the material to be worked.
ADJUSTING THE DUST EXTRACTION FLOW
The extraction flow can be adjusted by rotating ring-nut (4).
REPLACING ABRASIVE PAPER

- Lift the paper clamping lever (7) by pressing the release device and
remove the used paper;
- insert the new abrasive paper following the instructions in the chap-
ter on “INSERTING THE ABRASIVE PAPER”.

- Rip off the used paper;
- press the new velcro backed paper in position, ensuring that the ho-
les in the paper coincide with the suction holes in the plate.
USABLE ABRASIVE PAPER
Sheets of abrasive paper for orbital sanders; for model with velcroed
drilled rubber plate require specially prepared abrasive paper.
MAINTENANCE
All maintenance operations are carried out with the power supply di-
sconnected.
At the end of each work session, or when required, clean the motor
ventilation slot protective filter and remove any dust from the body of
the tool using a jet of compressed air, paying particular attention to
the motor ventilation slots.
No other maintenance operations must be undertaken by the user.
Maintenance and cleaning of the inner parts, like brushes, ball bea-
rings, gears etc. or others, must be carried out only by an authorized cu-
stomer-service workshop.
ELECTRIC SAFETY - LOW TENSION
The tests have been carried out in accordance with the standard:
EN 60745-1 safety of hand-held electric motor operated tools
EN 60745-2-4 particular requirements for sanders.
RADIO SUPPRESSION
The tools are suppressed in accordance for the prevention and
elimination of radio disturbances measured in accordance with
standard: EN 55014-1 + EN 55014-2; EN 61000-3-2 + EN 61000-3-3.
NOISE
The noise level produced is 81,7 dB (A), measured according to
regulation EN ISO 3744 + UNI EN ISO 11202.

MEAN ACCELERATION VALUE
The mean quadratic acceleration value is less than 2,5 m/sec2
measured in accordance with standard UNI EN 28662 + UNI ISO 5349.
GUARANTEE
All tools manufactured by RUPES Spa are guaranteed for 12 months
from the date of purchase against fabrication and material defects. All
tools must be used only with RUPES original accessories and spare
parts: we refuse all responsibility for damages or accidents caused
by non-observance of this rule which will also cause the termination
of the guarantee. The guarantee will no longer be valid if the instruc-
tions contained in this booklet are not followed, if the tool is used for
purposes other than that for which it is intended, if it is dismantled, in-
terfered with in any way or damaged due to neglect. The guarantee
will be made valid by filling-in the form on the inside back cover
of this instruction booklet. If the tool is found to be defective or mal-
functions, it should be returned carriage free in one piece in its origi-
nal packing together with the guarantee certificate to the manufactu-
rer or to one of the Assistance Centres listed in the appendix to this
booklet. The guarantee does not automatically imply replacement of
the tool. RUPES Spa reserves the right to make any technical or desi-
gn modification to its products without prior notice. The manufacturer
is not liable for any print errors. This document voids and replaces
previous ones.

I NSTRUCTIONS RELATIVES A LA SECURITE
ET A LA PROTECTION CONTRE LES ACCIDENTS DU TRAVAIL
Les instructions relatives à la sécurité et à la protection contre les
accidents du travail sont contenues dans le fascicule "INDICATIONS
RELATIVES A LA SECURITE" qui fait partie intégrante de la présente
documentation; le livret d'instructions relatives à l'utilisation indique
uniquement les informations complémentaires qui sont étroitement linées à
l'utilisation spécifique de la machine.
Ne jamais faire fonctionner les outils sans avoir monté les dispositifs de protection.
Chaque opération effectuée sur la machine ait lieu aprés que la fiche ait étè
dèbranchèe.
Avant sa mise en marche, la machine soit empoignée solidement et qu’elle ne
soit pas en contact avec la surface de travail.
Portez des vêtements adaptés au travail que vous devez exécute.
En cas de poussières nocives pour la santé, il faut connecter l’outil électrique à
un dispositif d’aspiration (non fourni): protéger les voies respiratoires à l'aide de
dispositifs conformes aux règlements et respecter les mesures de sécurité
applicables au matériau en cours d'usinage.
A cause des risques qui peuvent survenir durant le ponçage, il est conseillé de
toujours utiliser tous les D.P.I. (dispositifs de protection individuels tels que
gants, oreillettes, lunettes de protection, masques de protection des voies re-
spiratoires, etc.) selon les normes en vigueur pour prévenir ou réduire les ri-
sques d'accidents.
Attention! l'outil continue à fonctionnner pendant quelques secondes après
l'arrêt!
UTILISATION CONFORME
Les ponceuses sont destinées au ponçage du bois, des matières
synthétiques, des matériaux composites, de la peinture / du vernis, du mastic
et des matériaux similaires.
Les métaux et du matériau comportant de l’amiante ne doivent pas être usinés.
La machine ne doit jamais fonctionner ni dans une ambiance humide ni en
présence de gaz ou de liquides inflammables.
Contrôler que le poids de la pièce à travailler est suffisamment fixé.
En cas d'utilisation non conforme aux buts prévus, l'utilisateur sera tenu re-
sponsable des éventuels dommages et accidents.
RECOMMANDATIONS GENERALES
La machine doit fonctionner reliée à un système d’aspiration approprié (non fourni).

MISE EN SERVICE
Avant de mettre la machine en service, s'assurer que:
- l'emballage est intègre et qu'il ne montre aucun signe d'endomma-
gements dus au transport et au stockage;
- la machine est complète; s'assurer que le nombre et la nature des
composants sont conformes aux indications contenues dans le présent
livret d'instructions;
- la source d'énergie et les prises de courant à disposition peuvent
supporter la charge indiquée dans le tableau et sur la plaquette
d'identification de la machine, dont le fac-similé et les explications
relatives sont fournis page 15.
MONTAGE DE LA MACHINE
- Raccordé le dispositif d’aspiration a le tube d’aspiration dans l’em-
brouchure (10).
MONTAGE DU PAPIER ABRASIF

VERSION PLAQUE CAOUTCHOU PERFORÈE
- Soulever le levier de blocage du papier (7) en appuyant sur la lan-
guette prévu à cet effet;
- mettre le papier abrasif sous le levier jusqu’à la butée puis relâcher
le levier;
- répéter les opérations précédentes sur l’autre côté de la plaque, en
faisant en sorte que le papier soit bien tendu et en contrôlant que ses
bords soient parallèles au bord de la plaque avant de relâcher le le-
vier.

VERSION PLAQUE CAOUTCHOU PERFORÈE A VELCRO
- Appliquer sur la plaque la feuille de papier à velcro par pression en
veillant à ce que les trous du papier correspondent aux trous qui se
trouvent sur la plaque en caoutchouc;
- faire attention a ce que la plaque velcro n’ait aucune trace de pous-
sière ou autre.
AVANT LA MISE EN SERVICE
S'assurer que:
- la source d’énergie est conforme aux caractéristiques de la machine;
- le câble d’alimentation et la fiche relative sont en parfait état;
- l’interrupteur de mise en marche/arrêt est efficace en agissant ce-
pendant lorsque la fiche est débranchée;
- tous les composants de la machine sont montés correctement et ne
présentent pas de signes d’endommagement;
- les fentes de ventililation ne sont pas bouchées (9);
- la machine soit relièe à un dispositif d’aspiration appropriè et effica-
ce (10).
MISE EN MARCHE ET ARRET
- Mise en marche: pousser vers l’avant le coulisseau de l’interrupteur
(2); pour le bloquer en position “ouvert”, appuyer en même temps
sur la partie avant du couliseau.
- Arrêt: relâcher le coulisseau ou, s’il est bloqué, pousser sur la partie
arrière et attendre qu’l revienne en position “d’arrêt”.
FONCTIONNEMENT D'ESSAI
Mettre la machine en marche et s’assurer qu’il n’y a pas de vibrations
anomales et que le papier abrasif n’est pas décentré.
Dans le cas contraire, énteindie la machine immédiatament et éli-
miner les anomalies.

SELECTION DU NOMBRE DE TOURS
Le réglage du nombre de tours s’obtient en manoeuvrant de manière
appropriée le bouton (3) situé sur la partie arrière de la machine. Le
choix de la vitesse doit être fait en fonction des caractéristiques des
disques du papier abrasif et du matériau à usiner.
REGLAGE DU DEBIT D’ASPIRATION
Le dèbit de l’aspiration peut être règlè en faisant tourner le collier (4).
REMPLACEMENT DU PAPIER ABRASIF

- Soulever les leviers de blocage du papier (7) en appuyant sur les
languettes prévues à cet effet;
- retirer le papier usé;
- mettre le papier neuf en suivant les instructions fournies au chapitre
“MONTAGE DU PAPIER ABRASIF”.

VERSION PLAQUE CAOUTCHOU PERFORÈE A VELCRO
- Arracher le feiulle de papier usée;
- appliquer par pression la nouvelle feuille de papier à velcro en veil-
lant à ce que les trous du papier correspondent aux trous d’aspira-
tion qui se trouvent sur la plaque.
OUTILS DE TRAVAIL ADMIS
Feuilles de papier abrasif pour ponceuses orbitales; pour le model
avec le plaque caoutchou perforèe a velcro, utiliser le papier abrasif
spécialement prévue.
ENTRETIEN
Toutes le opérations doivent être effectuées à fiche étant débranchée.
A la fin du travail et en cas de nécessité, dépoussiérer le corps de la
machine à l’aide d’un jet d’air comprimé en faisant particuliérement
attention au nettoyage des grilles porte-filtre et filters anti-poussière
de ventilation du moteur.
Aucune autre intervention de l’utilisateur n’est pas admise.
Tous les travaux d’entretien et les travaux de polissage des piéces in-
ternes, comme les brosses, coussinet, engrenages, etc., doivent être
effectuer par un Atelier de Réparation autorisé.
SECURITE ELECTRIQUE - BASSE TENSION
Les proves/verifies out eté executés en accord a les normes:
EN 60745-1 securité des outils électrique a moteur portatives
EN 60745-2-4 règles particuliers puor ponceuses.
PROTECTION CONTRE LES PARASITES RADIO
Les machines sont conformes à les effets de la prévention et des
parasites radio mesures en accord a les normes EN55014-1+EN55014-
2; EN61000-3-2+EN61000-3-3.
FORMATION DU BRUIT
Le niveau équivalent de la pression sonore (niveau de bruit) est de 81,7 dB
(A), mesurés conformément aux normes EN ISO 3744 +UNI EN ISO 11202.
Attention: porter les dispositifs de protection de l'ouïe adéquats!
(Cf. avertissements généraux).
VALEUR MOYENNE DE L'ACCELERATION
La valeur quadratique moyenne de l'accèlération est inférieure à

GARANTIE
Toutes les machines construites par la Société RUPES Spa sont garanties

SICHERHEITS- UND UNFALLVERHÜTUNGSVORSCHRIFTEN
Die Sicherheits- und Unfallverhütungsvorschriften sind im beiliegenden
Helft "HINWEISE ZUR SICHERHEIT" enthalten, welches vollwertiger Be-
standteil der vorliegenden Dokumentation ist. Diese Gebrauchsanleitung
nennt daher nur die Zusatzinformationen, die den spezifischen Einsatz
dieses Gerätes betreffen.
Alle Arbeiten an der Maschine nur bei gezogenem Netzstecker ausführen.
Werkzeuge niemals ohne aufmontierte Schutzvorrichtungen betreiben.
Die Maschine vor dem Einschalten fest in der Hand halten. Sie darf die zu
bearbeitende Fläche nicht berühren.
Tragen Sie für die durchzuführenden Arbeiten geeignete Kleidung.
Sollte sich während des Schleifens gesundheitsschädlicher Staub bilden,
muss das Gerät an eine geeignete Absauganlage angeschlossen werden
(nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten): Schützen Sie die Atemwege mit den ge-
setzlich vorgeschriebenen Vorrichtungen und halten Sie sich an die für das
jeweils zu bearbeitende Material geltenden Sicherheitsvorschriften.
Aufgrund der mit dem Schleifen verbundenen Risiken wird empfohlen,
entsprechend den geltenden Richtlinien zur Unfallverhinderung bzw. -re-
duzierung stets die gesamte P.S.A. (persönliche Schutz-Ausrüstung, wie
zum Beispiel Handschuhe, Ohrschützer, Schutzbrillen, Atemschutzmaske,
usw.) zu tragen.
Achtung! Das Werkzeug läuft nach dem Ausschalten noch für einige
Sekunden weite!
BESTIMMNGSGEMÄßE VERWENDUNG
Bestimmungsgemäß sind die Schleifer zum Schleifen von Holz, Kunst-
stoff, Verbundwerkstoff, Farbe / Lack, Spachtelmasse und ähnlichen
Werkstoffen vorgesehen.
Metall und asbesthaltiges Material dürfen nicht bearbeitet werden.
Wergen der elektrischen Sicherheit, dürfen die Maschinen nicht feucht
sein und nicht in feuchter Umgebund betrieben werden.
Die Maschine darf nicht in feuchten Umgebungen oder bei Vorhandensein
von Gas oder entflammbaren Flüssigkeiten verwendet werden.
Überprüfen, ob das Werkstück ausreichend befestigt ist.
Wird das Gerät für nicht vorgesehene Zwecke benutzt, übernimmt der Be-
nutzer jede Verantwortung für eventuelle Schäden oder Unfälle.
ALLGEMEINE HINWEISE
Die genannten Gerätes dürfen nur zusammen mit einer passenden Staubabsaugung betrieben werden (kein Lieferbestandteil).

INBETRIEBNAHME
Vor einer Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes sollten Sie sicherstellen:
- daß die Verpackung unversehrt ist und keine Beschädigungen
durch Transport bzw. Lagerung aufweist;
- daß das Gerät vollständig ist, also Anzahl und Art der Gerätekom-
ponenten mit den Angaben in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung überein
stimmen;
- daß Stromnetz und Steckdosen für die in der Tabelle bzw. auf dem
Geräteschild (vgl. Abbildung u. Beschreibung des Geräteschilds auf
Seite 19) genannte Stromlast ausgelegt sind.
ZUSAMMENBAU DER MASCHINE
Die Absaugvorrichtung Anschließen. Dazu den Absaugschlauch auf
den Stutzen (10) aufstecken.

- Die Schleifblatt-Befestigungsklammer (7) durch Druck auf das dazu
vorgesehene Endstück anheben;
- das Schleifpapier bis es anliegt unter die Klammer schieben, dann
den Hebel loslassen;
- diesen Arbeitschritt am anderen Ende der Bodenplatte wiederholen.
Dazu das Schleifpapier gut straffen und ansschließend prüfen, ob
die Ränder mit den Kanten der Bodenplatte abschließen;
- das Papier mit dem Löcher (8) lochen.

- Das Haftschleifpapier auflegen und andrücken. Dabei darauf acten,
daß seine Löcher über den Absauglöchern in der Gummi-Bodenplat-
te liegen.
- Darauf achten; dass die Klettverschlussplatte nicht verstaubt oder
anderweitig beschmutzt ist.
VOR DER INBETRIEBNAHME
Stellen Sie folgende Punkte sicher:
- das Stromntez entspricht den Gerätekenndaten;
- Anschlußkabel und-Stecker sind in ordnungsgemäßem Zustand;
- der EIN/AUS- Schalter funktioniert einwandfrei. Zur Überprüfung die
in Kapitel “Inbetriebnahme” beschriebenen Schaltstellungen - aller-
dings bei gezogenem Netzstecker - ausprobieren;
- Sämtliche Gerätekomponenten sind ordnungsgemäß montiert und
zeigen keine. Anzeichen von Beschädigung;
- die Lüftungsschlitze sind nicht verstopft (9);
- die Absaugvorrichtung ist vorschriftsgemäß angeschlossen und
funktionstüchtig (10).
EINSCHALTEN UND AUSSCHALTEN
- Einschalten: Den Schiebeschalter (2) nach vorn schieben. Falls die-
ser in EIN- Stellung festgesetzt werden soll, gleichzeitig das vordere
Ende des Schiebers drücken.
- Ausschalten: Den Schiebeschalter loslassen, oder - falls dieser in
EIN-Stellungblockiert ist - auf dessen hinteres Ende drücken und
den Schalter in AUS-Stellung zurückfedern lassen.
TESTLAUF
Schalten Sie das Gerät ein und stellen Sie sicher, daß es nicht un-
gewöhnlich vibriert, order die Schleifpapier berührt wird.
Andernfalls das Gerät sofort ausschalten und die Störung beheben.

EINSTELLUNG DER DREHZAHL
Die Drehzahl stellen Sie über das Rädchen (3) im hinteren Abschnitt des
Gerätes ein. Wählen Sie die Drehzahl passend zur Art der Schlief-
papierscheibe sowie den Eigenschaften des bearbeiteten Materials.
EINSTELLUNG DES ABSAUG-LUFTSTROMS
Den Absaug-Luftstrom kann an der Überwurfmutter (4) eingestellt
werden.

- Die Schleifpapierklammern durch Niederdrücken (7) an den Enden
öffnen und das verbrauchte Blatt abnehmen;
- das neue Schleifpapierblatt wie im Abschnitt “ANBRINGEN DES
SCHLEIFPAPIERS” beschrieben befestigen.

- Das verbrauchte Schleifpapierblatt abreißen;
- das neue Blatt auflegen und andrücken. Dabei darauf achten, daß
seine Löcher über den Absauglöchern in der Bodenplatte liegen.
ZULÄSSIGE WERKZEUGE
Schleifpapier für Schwingschleifer; für alle Modelle, die mit einer
Klett-gelochte-Gummischleifplatte ausgerüstet sind, benützen Sie ein
spezielles Schleifmittel.
PFLEGE DES GERATES
Sämtliche Reiningungsarbeiten nur bei gezogenem Netzstecker vor-
nehmen. Reinigen Sie das Gerät nach der Arbeit sowie bei Bedarf
mit einem Druckluftstrahl. Achten Sie von besonders darauf, daß die
Lüftungsschlitze des Motors immer sauber sind.
Sonstige Eingriffe durch den Gerätebenutzer sind nicht zulässig.
Für die Wartung und die periodische Reinigung von den inneren
Teilen, z. B: Bürsten, Lagern, Zahnrädern usw. oder andere Bedürfnis-
se wenden Sie sich bitte an einer autorisierten Kundendienststelle an.
ELEKTRISCHE SICHERHEIT - NIEDERSPANNUNG
Die Tests wurden nach den Anforderungen der zur Zeit gültigen
Normen ausgeführt:
EN 60745-1 sicherheit für tragbare elektrisch betriebe Maschinen
EN 60745-2-4 besondere Anforderungen für Schleifmaschinen.
FUNKENTSTÖRUNG
Die Geräte erfüllen die Vorschriften der EG-Richtlinie 89/336 zur
Vorbeugung und Beseitigung von Funkstörungen Messung nach
Norm EN55014-1+EN55014-2; EN61000-3-2+EN61000-3-3.
SCHALLPEGEL
Der Schalldruckpegel (Geräuschentwicklung) der Maschine entspricht
81,7 dB (A), gemessen gemäß EN ISO 3744 + UNI EN ISO 11202 .

MITTLERE BESCHLEUNIGUNG
Die mittlere quadratische Beschleunigung liegt unter 2,5 m/s2
Messung nach UNI EN 28662 + UNI EN ISO 5349.
GARANTIE
Für alle von ihr hergestellten Geräte leistet die Fa. RUPES Spa Gewähr
im von Mangeln, die innerhalb von 12 Monaten ab dem Kaufdatum auf-
grund Material-oder Fabrikationsfehlern auftreten. Die Maschinen dürfen
ausschließlich mit Originalzubehör und Originalersatzteilen von RUPES
betrieben werden: Das Unternehmen haftet nicht für Unfälle oder Schä-
den, die auf die Nichtbeachtung dieser Bestimmung zurückzuführen
sind, die außerdem zum unverzüglichen Verfall der Garantie führt. Der
Garantieanspruch entfällt bei unsachgemäßem Gebrauch des Gerätes
oder der Nichteinhaltung dieser Gebrauchasanleitung. Er entfällt eben-
falls, wenn das Gerät demontiert bzw. umgerüstet wurde oder sichtbare
Schäden infolge mangelhafter Pflege aufweist. Die Inansprunchnahme
der Garantieleistung ist nur möglich, wenn der Abschnitt auf der vor-
letzten Umschlagseite dieser Gebrauchsanleitung ausgefüllt ist. Im
Fall einer nachweislichen Funktiosstörung muß das Gerät dem Herstel-
ler komplett montiert, originalverpackt und mit beiliegender Garantiekar-
te fracht und portofrei übergeben bzw. zugesendet werden. Die Überga-
be an ein autorisiertes Kundendienstzentrum (siehe beiliegendes Verzei-
chnis) ist ebenfalls möglich. In keinem Fall leitet sich aus dem Garan-
tieanspruch ein Rechtsanspruch auf die Ersetzung des Gerätes ab. Die
Fa. RUPES SpA behält sich das Recht vor, ohne Vorankündigung techni-
sche und ästhetische Änderungen an ihren Produkten vorzunehmen.
Das Unternehmen haftet nicht für eventuelle Druckfehler. Vorliegendes
Dokument annulliert und ersetzt alle früheren Veröffentlichungen.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA LA SEGURIDAD
Y LA PREVENCION DE ACCIDENTES
Las instrucciones para la seguridad y la prevención de accidentes se ilustran en
el opúsculo "INDICACIONES PARA LA SEGURIDAD" que forma parte de la
presente documentación. El manual de instrucciones para el uso ilustra
solamente aquellas informaciones adicionales estrictamente relacionadas con el
uso especifico de la máquina.
No hacer funcionar nunca las herramientas sin montados los dispositivos de
protección.
Que cada operación en la máquina sea ejecutada con el enchufe desconectado.
Que antes de accionarla, la máquina estè firmemente empuñada y no estè
contacto con la superficie de trabajo.
Llevar prendas adecuadas para el trabajo que se va a realizar.
Cuando durante el lijado se produzcan polvos perjudiciales a la salud, la
herramienta eléctrica deberá conectarse a un dispositivo aspirador apropiado
(no suministrado): proteger las vías respiratorias con dispositivos conformes a
las normas de ley y ajustarse a las disposiciones de seguridad valederas para el
material con el cual se está trabajando.
Debido a los riesgos que pueden surgir durante el alisado, se recomienda utili-
zar siempre todos los D.P.I. (dispositivos de protección individuales, como guan-
tes, cascos, gafas protectoras, caretas para proteger las vías respiratorias, etc.)
conforme a las normas de ley vigentes a fin de precaver o reducir las posibilida-
des de accidentes.
¡Atención! la herramienta ¡sigue funcionando por unos segundos después del
apagado!
USO CONFORME A LO DETERMINADO
En cuanto a su determinación de uso, las lijadoras están previstas para el lijado
de madera, plástico, materiales compuestos, pintura/barniz/ nogalina, masilla
de emplaste y materials similares.
Con este útil no se deben trabajar metales ni materiales que contengan amianto.
La máquina no debe funcionar en ambientes húmedos ni ante gases o líquidos
inflamables.
Comprobar que la pieza a mecanizar esté bien afirmada.
En caso de utilización no conforme a las finalidades previstas, el usuario asume
todas las responsabilidades ante eventuales daños y accidentes.
