1. Introduction
The DT-1 dialer enables alarm messages to be sent via analog telephone lines. It is designed
for the alarm control panels which are not provided with an on-board telephone
communicator.
2. Electronics board

230 V AC mains. Never connect it to the neutral conductor (N).
TMP - tamper output.
ALM - alarm signal input.
ARM - alarm system armed mode signal input.
AUX - additional alarm signal input.
+12V - power input.
COM - common ground.

3. Installation
The device should be installed by qualified personnel.
Disconnect power before making any electrical connections.
The dialer is only compatible with analog subscriber lines. Connecting the
telephone circuit directly to a digital network (e.g. ISDN) will cause damage to
the device.
1. Open the enclosure.
2. Make a hole in the base of the enclosure to insert the wire harness.
3. Run the wires through the prepared hole.
4. Secure the enclosure base to the wall.
5. Connect the wires to the appropriate terminals. Power (terminals +12V and COM) can be
supplied directly from the control panel or from an additional power supply unit.
6. Close the enclosure and turn power on.
7. Use the keypad on the enclosure to configure the dialer and program the service
functions (service mode) as well as the user functions (programming mode). Access to
the service mode is protected with the service code "12345", and to the programming
mode – with the user code "1234". Use the "#" button to confirm the codes entered. It is
recommended that you change the factory codes as the dialer is used for the first time.
You can configure the dialer and program its functions by using a PC computer running
the DT-1 Soft program, which can be downloaded from the www.satel.eu website.

Note: Momentary drop in supply voltage below 11 V (e.g. when testing the status of battery
which is running low or is not connected to the control panel supplying the dialer) will
restart the dialer, which is signaled by two long beeps.
