The SPL-2010 op ical-acous ic signaling device (siren) is designed for applica ion in he
burglary and assaul signaling sys ems. The signaling func ion is performed in wo ways:
visually (by blinking of indica or LEDs si ua ed in he lower par of he enclosure) and
acous ically (by a modula ed high-volume sound signal). As he ligh source, a se of LEDs is
used, whereas he sound signal is genera ed by means of a piezoelec ric ransducer. Design
of he signaling device housing as well as in ernal shield made of galvanised pla e ensure
a high degree of amper pro ec ion (agains opening, earing off from he base, as well as
agains clogging of conver er). The elec ronic circui is made by he use of SMD echnique
and impregna ed agains he adverse influence of wea her condi ions, which ensures a high
reliabili y of he device. As he SPL-2010 ex ernal housing is made of he PC LEXAN
high-impac polycarbona e, i is charac erized by a very high mechanical s reng h, and a nice
appearance of he device is guaran eed even af er many years of service.
1. Installing
The SPL-2010 siren should be moun ed on fla ver ical basis in inaccessible place in order o
minimize ampering possibili y. I mus be a ached o he surface by means of screws and
expansion plugs ( he screws and expansion plugs are included in he device delivery se ).

Note: Make sure to leave a distance of about 4.5cm between the upper edge of the
signaling device base and the ceiling or another element which limits the mounting
position from above. With no gap, mounting of the signaling device external housing
may be difficult.

2. Connections
The SPL-2010 siren can be used wi h any source of alarm signal which in emergency
si ua ion genera es 12V direc vol age on i s alarm ou pu (s). Connec ing +12 V power supply
o he "+ SA –" erminals will rigger he acous ic signaling, and o he "+ SO –" erminals - he
op ical signaling in he SPL-2010 device.
The amper circui of he siren will be open on removing he ou er enclosure, covering wi h
moun ing foam, or de aching he siren from he wall. For he amper con ac o func ion
correc ly during pull-off, he "S" elemen mus be screwed o he moun ing surface
(see Fig. 1).
Connec ors "TMP" are designed for connec ing in o amper circui of securi y sys em.
By placing jumpers on he JP1–JP5 pins, you can selec one of he hree audible signals for
alarm signaling.

he OUT2 ou pu – acous ic (high-curren ou pu s wi h normal polariza ion - ac iva ed
when +12 V vol age is supplied). The Z1 zone is programmed as 24 h amper.
I is possible o con rol wo ypes of signaling from one ou pu of con rol panel, by connec ing
in parallel he erminals +SA o +SO and -SA o –SO.
Note: Some control panels may re uire connecting a resistor R (approx. 1 kΩ) between
the +SA- terminals in the siren. If this resistor is not connected, the siren may emit
some low sounds when not alarming.
