万一、水や異物が入ったときは、すぐに電源を切り、電源コードや接続コードを抜
いて、ソニーのサービス担当者または営業担当者にご相談ください。
指定の電源コードを使用する
指定以外の電源コードを使用すると、火災や感電の原因となります。
他の電源コードを使用する場合は、ソニーのサービス担当者または営業担当者に
ご相談ください。
電源コードを傷つけない
電源コードを傷つけると、火災や感電の原因となります。
･電源コードを加工したり、傷つけたりしない。
･重いものをのせたり、引っ張ったりしない。
･熱器具に近づけたり、加熱したりしない。
･電源コードを抜くときは、必ずプラグを持って抜く。
･ラックマウントするとき、レールにはさみ込まない。
万一、電源コードが傷んだら、ソニーのサービス担当者に交換をご依頼ください。
油煙、湯気、湿気、ほこりの多い場所では設置 •使用しない
上記のような場所で設置・使用すると、火災や感電の原因となります。
表示された電源電圧で使用する
機器に表示されたものと異なる電源電圧で使用すると、火災や感電の原因となり
ます。
下記の注意を守らないと、
火災や感電により死亡や大けがにつながることがあります。
感電

通風孔をふさがない
通風孔をふさぐと内部に熱がこもり、火災の原因となることがあります。
•逆さまや横倒しにしない。
•風通しの悪い、狭いところに押し込まない。
•毛足の長いじゅうたんや布団の上に置かない。
•布をかけない。
安定した場所に設置する
ぐらついた台の上や傾いたところなどに設置すると、製品が落下してけがの原因
となることがあります。
安全アースを接続する
安全アースを接続しないと、感電の原因となることがあります。次の方法でアース
を接続してください。
•電源コンセントが 3極の場合
別売りの電源コードセット（1-575-181-11）を使用することで安全アースが接続さ
れます。
•電源コンセントが 2極の場合
別売りの3極→2極変換プラグ（1-
750-686-11）を使用し、変換プラグ
から出ている緑色のアース線を建
物に備えられているアース端子に
接続してください。
安全アースを取り付けることができない場合は、ソニーのサービス担当者または営
業担当者にご相談ください。
ファンが止まったままの状態で使用しない
ファンが 止まると、前面パネルのインジケーターが赤く点滅します。そのまま使用し
続けると、火災や感電の原因となることがあります。ソニーのサービス担当者にご
連絡ください。
2台以上積み上げない
ラックを使用せずに2台以上積み上げると、機器が落下してけがの原因となるこ
とがあります。
移動させるときはコードを抜く
接続したまま移動させると、電源コードや接続コードが足などに引っかかり、けが
の 原 因となることがあります。
下記の注意を守らないと、

概要
DEP-100は、ノンリニア編集機と組み合わせて、特殊効果を加え
たシーンの切り替えやテロップの挿入などに使用する、デジタルエ
フェクトプロセッサーです。
特長
本機には次のような特長があります。
特殊効果を加えた映像編集を手軽に実現
ベータカムハイブリッドレコーダー1台と次の編集機との組み合わせ
で、簡単かつ経済的なシステムを構築できます。
•ポータブルエディターDNE-50
•ライブエディティングシステムDLE-110
•デジタルニュースエディティングシステムDNE-700
前のカットの最後のフレームをフリーズし、ワイプやディゾルブなど
の特殊効果を加えながら次のシーンに切り替えていくAロールエ
フェクト編集を、上記の編集システムのGUI上で簡単に行うことが
できます。
4:2:2デジタルコンポーネント処理による高品質なエフェク
ト
フルデジタルの 4 :2 : 2サンプリングによる映像処理により、エフェ
クトを加えたあとでも高品質な映像を得ることができます。
多彩なエフェクトパターン
100種類以上のワイプパターン、150種類以上の2次元エフェクト
（モザイク、フリップタンブル、ピクチャーインピクチャー、ズームな
ど）を装備しています。また、32種類の背景模様も装備していま
す。
ダウンストリームキーヤーを装備
ダウンストリームキーヤー(DSK)を装備していますので、取材場所
やレポーターの名前などのテロップやステーションロゴなどの挿入
に便利です。
外部コンピューターで作成したDSK用グラフィックデータ
の使用が可能
外部のコンピューターで作成したグラフィックデータを本 機 のダウン
ストリームキーヤー(DSK)に取り込むことができるフロッピーディス
クドライブを装備しています。
編集に便利な2画面モード
本機とライブ編集機DLE-110を組み合わせたシステムでは、2台
のハイブリッドレコーダーから送られてくる動画を画面上に同時に
表示できます。
スポーツ番組などで2人の選手を画面上で対戦させるなどの演出
を簡単に実現できます。

各部の名称と働き
1POWER (電源) スイッチとインジケーター
本機の電源を入/切します。スイッチが「 」側のとき電源が入り、
「 」側のとき切れます。電源が入ると、インジケーターがまず赤色
に点灯し、内部の初期化が終了すると緑色に点灯します。
ご注意
インジケーターが赤色で点滅するときは、異常です。本機の電源を
切り、ソニーのサービス担当にご相談ください。

SDI INPUT (シリアルデジタルビデオ/オーディオ入力) 端
子(BNC型)
SUB（サブシリアルデジタルビデオ入力) 端子：シリア ル デジタ
ルビデオ入力端子です。
MAIN端子からの信号にピクチャー・イン・ピクチャーなどのエ
フェクトをかける場合のビデオ信号を入力します。ハイブリッドレ
コーダーなどのSDI出力端子と接続しますが、オーディオ信号
は入力できません。
MAIN（メインシリアルデジタルビデオ /オーディオ入力) 端子：
シリアルデジタルビデオ/オーディオ入力端子です。
ハイブリッドレコーダーなどのSDI出力端子と接続します。入力
された信号は、エフェクトがかかりPROGRAMOUT端子から
出力されます。
IF-643基板上のスイッチの切り替えにより、525および625のコ
ンポーネントのシリアルデジタル信号に対応します。
5MOUSE（マウス接続）端子（D-sub 9ピン、RS-232C
規格準拠、オス）
市販のシリアルマウスを接続します。
モザイクパターンの大きさ、位置などのコントロールができます。

スイッチ
ブラックバーストなどのコンポジットビデオ信号を接続します。
2つの端子はループスルーになっています。ループスルー出力を
使用しないときは75W終端スイッチをONに設定してください。
MONITOR OUT (モニター出力) 端子 (BNC型)
モニター用のコンポジットビデオ信号を出力します。
ライブエディティングシステムDLE-110やモニターのコンポジット入
力端子と接続します。
4DIGITAL I/O (デジタル入出力) 部
PROGRAM OUT1/2/3/4 (シリアルデジタルビデオ/オー
ディオ出力) 端子 (BNC型)
エフェクトのかかったシリアルデジタルビデオ/オーディオ信号（プ
ログラム信号）を4系統出力します。
ビデオ／オーディオ信号は、MAIN端子からのオーディオ入力信号
に対して1フレーム遅延されて出力されます。
DSK INPUT (ダウンストリームキー入力) 端子 (BNC 型)
KEY（キーソース信号入力）端子：シリアルデジタルビデオ信号
入力端子です。
文字発生器などの外部キー出力端子と接続し、ダウンストリーム
キーのキーソース信号を入力します。
FILL（フィル信号入力）端子：シリアルデジタルビデオ信号入力
端子です。
文字発生器などの外部ビデオ出力端子と接続し、ダウンストリー
ムキーのフィル信号を入力します。KEY端子に接続したキーソー
ス信号を使用しない場合は、このFILL端子から入力するフィル
信号の輝度信号をキーソース信号として使用できます。

6ISR端子（D-sub 25ピン、RS-232C規格準拠、メス）
ISR用端子です。
ソニーISR（InteractiveStatusReporting）アプリケーションソフト
ウエアを搭載するホストコンピューターのRS-232C端子と接続しま
す。本機の状態をコンピューターから監視、診断することができま
す。

Overview
The DEP-100 is a digital effect processor designed for
use with a non-linear editing system. This unit allows
you to switch images while adding special effects or
inserting supers.
Features
The unit features the following.
Easy configuration of a video editing system
with multiple digital effects
Combining one Betacam hybrid recorder with one of
the following editing systems allows you to configure
a simple and economical editing system with multiple
digital effects.
•DNE-50 Portable Editor
•DLE-110 Live Editing system
•DNE-700 Digital News Editing system
Using this editing system, A-roll effect editing is
possible from the GUI, where the last frame of the
previous effect is frozen and the image is switched to
the next scene while adding special effects such as
wipe or dissolve.
High quality effects
The 4:2:2 component digital video format employed
for signal processing maintains high quality pictures
even after effects are added.
Variety of effect patterns
The unit is equipped with more than 100 wipe patterns
and more than 150 two-dimensional effects such as
mosaic, clip, tangle, picture-in-picture and zoom. It is
also equipped with 32 background effects.
Equipped with a Down stream keyer (DSK)
The down stream keyer function allows you to insert
captions such as names of the location, the reporter or
the station logo.
Accepts DSK graphic data from other sources
This unit has a floppy disk drive so that graphic data
created elsewhere can be loaded in the down stream
keyer.
Two-window mode
The systems configured by combining this unit and the
DLE-110 can display images sent from the two hybrid
recorders on one monitor screen at the same time. This
makes it possible to create such scenes as two athletes
playing a match on the screen.

1POWER switch and indicator
Turns the power to the unit on and off.
The power is on when the switch is set to “1” and off
when set to “¬”.
When the power is on, the indicator lights in red. After
completing initialization, it turns in green.
Note
If the indicator flashes in red, there is a malfunction.
Turn off the power and contact your Sony service
personnel.

Insert the 3.5 inch floppy disk to load the graphic data
to the down stream keyer on this unit. This allows you
to use graphic data created by external computers.

Location and Function of Parts and Controls
3ANALOG I/O block
REF. VIDEO (reference video input) connectors
(BNC type) and 75-ohm termination switch
Connect a composite video signal, such as a black
burst. The two connectors are in the loop-through
condition. When the loop-through output is not used,
set the 75-ohm termination switch to ON.
MONITOR OUT (monitor output) connector
(BNC type)
Outputs the composite video signal for monitoring.
Connect to the composite video inputs of the DLE-
110 system or a monitor.
4DIGITAL I/O block
PROGRAM OUT 1/2/3/4 (serial digital video/
audio output) connectors
Outputs four channels of the serial video/audio
signals (program signals) to which effects have been
added.
The audio signal is output delaying by one frame
from the audio input signal from the MAIN
connector.
DSK INPUT (down stream key input) connector
(BNC type)
KEY (key source signal input) connector: Inputs
the serial digital video signals. Connect to the
external output connector of the character
generator to input the key source signal of the
down stream key.
FILL (fill signal input) connector: Inputs the serial
digital video signal
Connect to the external video output connector of
the character generator to input the fill signal of
the down stream key. When the key source signal
connected to the KEY connector is not used, the
luminance signal of the fill signal input from this
FILL connector is used as the key source signal.
SDI INPUT (serial digital video/audio input)
connector (BNC type)
SUB (sub serial digital video input) connector:
Inputs the serial digital video signal to be used as
the video signal when the picture-in-picture effect
is added to the signal from the MAIN connector.
Connect to the SDI output connector of the
hybrid recorder. However, the audio signal is not
input to this connector.
MAIN (main serial digital video/audio input):
Inputs the serial digital video/audio signal.
Connect to the SDI output connector of the hybrid
recorder. The signal is processed with the effects
and output from the PROGRAM OUT connectors.
Depending on the switch position of the IF-643 board,
the connector accepts either 525- or 625-component
serial digital signals.
5Mouse connector (D-sub 9-pin, conforming to
RS-232C standards, male)
Connect a commercially available mouse.
You can control the effect such as the size and position
of the mosaic pattern.

RS-232C standards, female)
Connect to the RS-232C connector of the computer on
which the Sony ISR (Interactive Status Reporting)
application program runs. The status of the unit is
supervised and reported by the computer.

Connect to the GPI connector of the editor to input the
signal for performing effects.
EFFECT: Inputs the signal for the timing of the effect
changes.
KEY ON: Inputs the signal for performing the down
stream key.
KEY OFF: Inputs the signal for stopping the down
stream key performance.
8REMOTE OUT (remote control signal output)
connector (D-sub 9-pin, conforming to the RS-422A
standard, female)
Connect to the 9-pin control terminal of the hybrid
recorder which is controlled by the non-linear editor
via the REMOTE IN connector.
